Women's empowerment is an act of giving women equal rights and opportunities to participate in society. In today's world women are still not given enough power and respect. There are many reasons for this, including illiteracy, poverty, social customs, child marriage. Women continue to be among the world's most vulnerable groups, as access to resources and power remains highly skewed towards men. According to UNICEF 89 million girls in the world are married before 18 years of age. According to census 2011 in India child sex ratio is 918 girls for every 1000 boys. Out of seventeen sustainable development goals of 2030 fifth is gender equality, this is basic human right and is very essential to achieve peace, prosperity and sustainable development. Gender equality is a key factor for sustainable economic growth, social development and environmental sustainability, only 6 years are left to attain those goals. For achieving this goal India is also following holistic approach, Government of India implemented schemes such as Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Working Women Hostel, Nari Shakti Puruskar, NIRBHAYA, In recent Budget Lakhpati Didi yojana, In M.P. Ladli Behna Yojna etc. This research paper is an attempt to analyze role of women's empowerment in sustainable development and to highlight some challenges faced by women, and to provide some suggestion to avoid those challenges.

This study presents a movie recommendation system tailored to the user's mood, using the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) and cosine similarity for recommendations. The system categorizes movies into genres that evoke positive or negative emotions, matching the user's current emotional state. The user's mood is determined by their responses to a PANAS questionnaire, guiding the selection of the appropriate genre dataset. From this dataset, a random movie is chosen, and ten similar movies are recommended using cosine similarity. The system's effectiveness was evaluated using three machine learning algorithms: Naive Bayes (Gaussian, Multinomial, Bernoulli), Support Vector Machine (SVM)with linear and radial basis function (rbf) kernels, and Decision Tree (DT) with log loss, gini, and entropy criteria. Models were trained on datasets comprising 70%, 75%, and 80% of the available data, and their performance was assessed. Results indicated that the Decision Tree method, particularly with the gini criterion, achieved the highest accuracy, while the SVM also performed well. Naive Bayes showed the lowest accuracy. The Decision Tree algorithm's consistent and superior performance highlights its suitability for this recommendation system, whereas Naive Bayes was less effective for this application.

Nutritional knowledge plays a very important role in determining the appropriate diet for human beings. So the present study is an assessment of the nutritional knowledge of women. A sample of 300 subjects was selected from semi-urban and urban areas of Gurgaon District. Thus, 150 urban and 150 semi-urban elements, each having an equal number of working women in the corporate and non-corporate sectors, formed the sample of the study. A self-prepared interview schedule was used for collecting the information regarding nutritional knowledge of selected women. Those women who were above thirty-five years of age and were working in the corporate sector had higher nutrition knowledge than women working in the non-corporate sector (t=2.80). Women whose educational status was above post-graduation and working in the corporate sector had higher nutrition knowledge than women working in the non-corporate sector (t = 2.18). Women who had a monthly income of less than Rs 50 thousand and were working in the corporate sector had more nutritional knowledge than women of the same group working in the non-corporate sector (t = 3.18). Those women living in joint families and those working in the corporate sector had significantly more nutritional knowledge than women working in the non-corporate sector (t = 2.12). Those women living in the semi-urban area and working in the corporate sector had better knowledge regarding nutrition in comparison to women working in the non-corporate sectors (z = 2.28, p<0.05). Again, those women living in urban areas and working in corporate sectors had higher nutrition knowledge than their counterparts. This difference was also found to be significant (z = 5.23, p<0.01). The conclusion of the study was that women working in the corporate sector had more nutritional knowledge than women working in non-corporate sectors (z = 3.92, p<0.01). The result of the study emphasizes the importance of motivating women regarding nutritional knowledge when working in the non-corporate sector and living in semi-urban as well as urban areas. This would be instrumental in improving the health and nutritional status of their families.
