 Abstract

In the field of Assamese short story and novel literature, Purabi Bormudoi is a well-known name. She emerged as a novelist in the last decade of the twentieth century through the serial publication of her novels in the literary magazine Gariyoshi edited by Chandraprasad Saikia. Between 1994 and June 1997, her first novel, Gajaraj, Prem Aru Bonditwo (The Elephant, Love and Captivity), was published serially in the magazine. Two of her other novels, Param Pujaniya and Eta Alibator Itikotha (The Tale of a Pathway), were also serialized in the same magazine. In addition, Bormudoi published four more novels: Baghshal, Baghjal Aru Manuh (The Tiger Trap, the Tiger Net and Man; 2000), Rupowali Noir Sonowali Ghat (The Golden Ghat of the Silver River; 2001), Purabi Bormudoir Nirbachita Upanyasika (Selected Novellas of Purabi Bormudoi; 2004), and Shantanukulanandan (2005). In our research paper, the plot and thematic aspects of Bormudoi's novels 'Param Pujaniya' and 'Eta Alibator Itikotha' will be discussed and analyzed.

 Abstract

In Ayurveda the concept of Agni and ahara paka (Metabolic transformation) provides an extensive field of research in the present day. Ingested food is to be digested, absorbed and assimilated, which is unavoidable for the maintenance of life, and is performed by the Agni. . Agni has got similar function to that of pitta in aspects of digestion and metabolism. JatharAgni Paka (Gastro intestinal digestion) is described as Avasthapaka in Ayurveda. JatharAgni plays a key role in digestion of food-stuffs composed of the five basic elements and transforms it for utilization by the respective tissues . About the importance of Agni, Acharya Charak has mentioned that after stoppage of the function of Agni, the individual dies, and when the Agni of an individual is sama, then that person would be absolutely healthy and would lead a long, happy, healthy life. But, if the Agni of a person is vitiated, the whole metabolism in his body would be disturbed, resulting in ill health and disease. Hence, Agni is said to be the base (mool) of life.

 Abstract

Abstract Background: Sira, Dhamani, and Srotas are three fundamental anatomical entities described in Ayurvedic literature. Although these structures play a pivotal role in understanding the physiology and pathology of the human body, their precise anatomical interpretation remains a subject of scholarly debate. Modern vascular anatomy provides a detailed description of blood vessels and microcirculation, creating opportunities for a critical comparative analysis. Objective: To critically analyze the anatomical concepts of Sira, Dhamani, and Srotas described in classical Ayurvedic texts and examine their possible correlations with modern vascular anatomy. Methods: A narrative review was undertaken using classical Ayurvedic texts, including Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya, together with contemporary anatomy, histology, embryology, and vascular biology literature. The review emphasizes conceptual similarities and differences rather than direct structural equivalence. Results: Classical descriptions indicate that Sira, Dhamani, and Srotas represent distinct yet interconnected anatomical and physiological entities. Sira primarily relates to vascular channels involved in transport and venous drainage, Dhamani denotes pulsatile vessels associated with distribution from the heart, and Srotas represents a broader physiological network responsible for transport, exchange, and tissue nourishment. Modern vascular anatomy describes arteries, veins, capillaries, lymphatic vessels, and the microcirculation as integrated components of systemic circulation. While certain functional similarities exist, the Ayurvedic concepts encompass broader physiological dimensions that extend beyond identifiable anatomical structures. Conclusion: The concepts of Sira, Dhamani, and Srotas should be interpreted as comprehensive functional systems rather than exact anatomical counterparts of arteries, veins, or capillaries. Integrating Ayurvedic knowledge with modern vascular anatomy may enhance anatomical education and stimulate interdisciplinary research

 Abstract

While AI is transforming retail banking operations from loan application to credit scoring, fraud prevention to customer segmentation, there is a high level of opacity in the high-performing models that is harming customer confidence and making regulatory compliance more difficult. This paper examines how Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) can help achieve the balance between prediction accuracy and explainability in retail banking machine learning platforms. We analyze the comparative behaviors of four popular explanation methods: SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP), Local Interpretable Model-agnostic Explanations (LIME), ELI5 and Counterfactual Explanations between interpretable models (Logistic Regression, Decision Tree) and black-box models (Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, Neural Network). We propose an end-to-end novel framework called TrustBank-XAI that consists of Data Preprocessing, Feature Engineering, Prediction Engine, Explainability Module, Trust Assessment Module and Decision Support System for creating human explainable, auditable and fairness aware credit and fraud decisions. It is assessed conceptually on four public benchmark datasets: Give Me Some Credit, Bank Marketing, Home Credit Default Risk and German Credit, with predictive metrics (Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-score, ROC-AUC, MCC) and explainability metrics ( Trust Score, SHAP Consistency, Explanation Fidelity, Explanation Stability, Fairness Score). Results show that the accuracy of the ensemble black-box models is slightly better than that of the interpretable ones, and the explanations generated by SHAP show the most consistency and stability across folds. The resulting trade-off between prediction and explainability, future directions on real-time explainable banking systems that are aligned with regulatory compliance and fairness, as well as the implications of regulation fairness and compliance are discussed.

 Abstract

Insomnia (Saher) is a common sleep disorder associated with impaired physical and mental health. Classical Unani physicians extensively described Saher, emphasizing the roles of lifestyle, diet, emotional health, and cerebral temperament in sleep regulation. Although many of these concepts parallel contemporary scientific understanding, they have not been comprehensively reviewed. This narrative review compares classical Unani concepts of Saher with contemporary scientific evidence using six authoritative Unani texts (Al Akseer, Al Qanun fi al Tibb, Zakhira Khwarzamshahi, Kitab al Hawi fi al Tibb, Tibb-e-Akbar, and Moalejat Sharah-e-Asbab) and current peer-reviewed sleep medicine literature. The review focuses on lifestyle and dietary determinants, including circadian rhythm, physical activity, mental health, environmental factors, diet, and digestive health. Classical Unani literature attributes Saher to altered cerebral temperament (Su-e-Mizaj), humoral imbalance, impaired digestion, psychological distress, and unhealthy lifestyle practices. Regulation of Asbab-e-Sitta Zarooriyah, balanced nutrition, appropriate meal timing, healthy digestion, physical activity, emotional well-being, and a favourable sleep environment were recommended for its prevention and management. Contemporary evidence supports the importance of these factors in chronic insomnia, demonstrating substantial conceptual agreement despite differing theoretical frameworks. Many classical Unani recommendations are supported by current evidence and may provide a valuable foundation for integrative approaches to insomnia prevention and management.

 Abstract

Abstract The real estate sector has increasingly adopted email marketing as a strategic communication tool to maintain long-term relationships with clients. This study examines the relationship between Email Marketing Strategies and Client Retention among real estate customers. Data were collected from 180 respondents through a structured questionnaire. Pearson's Correlation Analysis was conducted using SPSS to assess the strength and direction of relationships between the dimensions of email marketing and client retention. The findings reveal significant positive correlations, indicating that effective email marketing practices contribute substantially to retaining clients in the real estate industry.

 Abstract

The present study investigates the wear behavior of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene [ABS] and carbon fiber reinforced ABS [ABS + CF] composites printed with FDM, by testing it in three-body abrasive wear machine. Taguchi experimental design is also applied for optimization of experimental trials. The 3D printing process parameters effects such as layer height, printing temperature, and printing speed on material loss due to wear was investigated using Taguchi L9 orthogonal array and Analysis of variance [ANOVA]. This experimental results in layer height significantly influenced the wear resistance compared to pure ABS. The optimized printing conditions resulted in minimum wear loss with enhanced tribological performance.

 Abstract

The present work examines the three-body abrasive wear characteristics of neat PLA and glass fiber reinforced PLA (PLA+GF) specimens manufactured through Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM), with process optimization carried out via the Taguchi method. Three critical printing variables -- layer height, printing temperature, and printing speed -- were varied across an L9 orthogonal array, and their collective influence on wear loss was studied. Wear tests were conducted on a three-body abrasive wear machine using silicon carbide as the abrasive medium. S/N ratio plots and ANOVA were used to rank the relative importance of each printing variable and to determine the conditions that yield minimum wear loss. The findings show that layer height exerts the most pronounced effect on the wear behavior of both material types, while the combination of optimized parameters leads to a meaningful reduction in material loss. The presence of glass fiber reinforcement in the PLA matrix was found to further strengthen the wear performance of FDM-fabricated parts.

A new-class of homeomorphism called *( r)h - homeomorphism and *( r)h c - homeomorphism are introduce and *( r)h c - homeomorphism are grouped together under the composition of maps operation. Also, their relation with few homeomorphisms in hexa topological space is presented.
