Piping of soil refers to the movement of soil particles caused by seepage flow, which poses a significant challenge in geotechnical engineering. This phenomenon can compromise the strength, stability, and integrity of earth structures such as dams, embankments, and their foundations. Conventional methods to enhance soil stability often rely on synthetic materials, which are expensive and environmentally harmful. This study explores an alternative approach to reduce seepage velocity and improve soil's resistance to piping by incorporating coir. A one-dimensional piping test was conducted to compare the seepage velocity and piping resistance of pure sand, sand mixed with different proportions of coir under various hydraulic head conditions. The preliminary findings reveal that adding coir significantly enhances the soil's resistance to piping. Distributing coir throughout the soil mass increases isotropic strength and minimizes weak zone formation. Due to its high lignin content 46%, it is stronger than other natural materials such as coir or cotton. Coir geotextiles have been used in various slope stabilization projects and soil erosion control.

Innovative solutions for various industries have been developed as a result of the proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. IoT has the potential to completely change how electricity is produced, transmitted, and used in the electricity sector. The use of IoT for detecting and preventing electricity theft is one such application. Meter tampering, also known as electricity theft, is a significant problem that affects the revenue and profitability of electricity boards. It entails circumventing meters in an unlawful manner in order to use electricity without paying for it. In this project, we propose creating an IoT-based system to track down and stop electricity theft. Smart meters with sensors and communication capabilities make up the system, along with a central server for data processing and analysis. Electricity consumption patterns are continuously monitored by smart meters, which also send data to a central cloud-based database. The database values are utilized by the authorities when it discovers anomalies or suspicious activity upon close monitoring of the data stored in real-time. The proposed system could significantly lower the number of instances of electricity theft, increasing revenue and profitability for the electricity providers while enhancing consumer safety. By offering real-time information on electricity consumption and billing, it can also assist utilities in streamlining their operations and enhancing customer service.

This paper explores the two most common methods of graph representation--adjacency matrices and adjacency lists--discussing their structures, time and space complexities, and real-world applications. We also evaluate the trade-offs between these representations and suggest optimal usage scenarios. Graph theory plays a foundational role in computer science and data structures, enabling the modeling of complex systems through nodes (vertices) and relationships (edges). The effectiveness and efficiency of graph-based algorithms are directly influenced by how graphs are represented. This paper explores the core methods of graph representation -- including adjacency matrices, adjacency lists, and edge lists -- and analyzes their strengths and trade-offs in different contexts such as sparse vs. dense graphs, static vs. dynamic systems, and algorithmic use-cases. Further, the paper delves into specialized graph types such as directed, undirected, weighted, bipartite, and planar graphs, highlighting how representation affects computation and memory optimization
