Startups are engines of innovation but face disproportionately high failure rates, with 90% failing within five years-- often due to inadequate protection of proprietary knowledge. Trade secrets, such as algorithms, customer insights, and business strategies, offer a cost-effective alternative to patents for early-stage ventures, yet are frequently overlooked due to informal practices, limited resources, and lack of awareness. This paper introduces the SECRETS Model (Startup-Enabled Comprehensive Retention and Trade-secret Strategy), a practical, low-cost framework designed to help startups systematically identify, protect, and manage trade secrets using familiar tools like Google Drive, Notion, and Slack. Through a detailed case study of an AI SaaS startup and statistical validation, we demonstrate a 64% risk reduction, 10x return on investment, and significant improvements in founder awareness and NDA compliance. The SECRETS Model is scalable, sector-adaptable, and implementable in under 12 hours for less than $100--offering a transformative IP protection approach tailored to the realities of early-stage entrepreneurship. We also introduce the SECRETS Readiness Score, a diagnostic tool that quantifies a startup's preparedness to safeguard its intellectual assets. This paper highlights the model's policy and investment implications, advocating for broader adoption through targeted training, automation, and incentive programs.

Abstract: Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) serve as vital community health workers in India, bridging the gap between public health systems and rural populations. However, ASHA workers often experience a significant mental load due to excessive documentation, travel, health education duties, and performance-linked incentives. This feasibility study explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based interventions can potentially reduce this mental burden. By analysing current workloads, technology access, and digital literacy among ASHAs in Karnataka, the study assesses the readiness for AI integration and outlines key AI tools--such as voice-enabled data entry, chatbots, health education platforms, and decision support systems--that can enhance productivity and well-being.

The integration of the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration has significantly reshaped India's arbitration framework, aligning it with global standards and enhancing its effectiveness as a dispute resolution mechanism. Prior to the enactment of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, India's arbitration landscape was governed by colonial-era statutes that often led to judicial overreach and inefficiencies. The 1996 Act, incorporating the UNCITRAL Model Law, marked a pivotal shift towards a more streamlined and internationally recognized arbitration system. This alignment has not only improved procedural efficiency but has also bolstered India's position as a favourable venue for international commercial arbitration However, the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act of 2021 introduced provisions that have raised concerns. Notably, it allows courts to grant an unconditional stay on the enforcement of arbitral awards if fraud or corruption is suspected. This change has been criticized for potentially creating new hurdles in enforcing awards and for reintroducing judicial intervention, which could undermine the effectiveness of arbitration as a dispute resolution mechanism. This paper analyses these developments, aiming to understand their impact on India's arbitration framework and to assess the alignment of domestic practices with international arbitration trends.

The era of relying solely on local hard drives for data storage and retrieval has become a thing of the past. Thanks to the swift progress in technology and the global rise of the Internet, computing resources are now more affordable, efficient, and easily available to everyone. It is now easy to experience the convenience of having data storage in the cloud. Thanks to technological advancements alongside the success of the Internet, computers are easily available, less expensive, and more powerful than before. This gave rise to a new age of computing dubbed as "Cloud Computing". In contrast to conventional methods, cloud computing provides cost-effective and flexible services that can easily fulfill complex scientific tasks. To unlock its full power, however, some obstacles need to be tackled like optimizing the scheduling of workflows. Research analyzing this particular issue is abundant, but only a few give attention to cloud specific features such as elasticity and heterogeneity. The available techniques tend not to achieve optimal efficiency in these scenarios. To address this, our study focuses on creating efficient scheduling policies for scientific workflows hosted in an IaaS cloud. In doing so, we design a hybrid algorithm that enhances ACO and PSO to achieve local and global objectives simultaneously.

Historically the word handicrafts meant products made mostly by hand and the market for such goods was limited to small, often underdeveloped, local areas. With new technologies and machines, however, that same market expanded and began to draw global attention. In India the revival of handicrafts soon became obvious; plentiful raw materials and low-cost labour underpinned much of the success. Rajasthan, famed for its culture and heritage, stood out by offering a wider range of items than most other states. Support from both central and state governments has also played a key role in nurturing this growth.

Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are a conserved family of molecular chaperones that maintain protein homeostasis under physiological and stress conditions. In the oral environment, HSPs such as HSP27, HSP60, HSP70, and HSP90 are constitutively expressed in mucosa, salivary glands, and dental pulp, and their expression is upregulated by thermal, oxidative, or microbial stress. Beyond their canonical roles in protein folding and degradation, HSPs act as danger-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) to modulate innate and adaptive immunity, participate in wound healing, and preserve tissue integrity. In oral pathology, aberrant HSP expression has been implicated in infections (e.g., Candida, Streptococcus), inflammatory conditions (periodontitis, peri-implantitis, pulpitis), and odontogenic lesions (keratocysts, ameloblastomas). In potentially malignant disorders such as leukoplakia and lichen planus, elevated HSP27 and HSP70 levels correlate with dysplastic severity, while in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), overexpression of HSP27, HSP70, and HSP90 promotes tumor cell survival, invasion, and chemoresistance. These findings underscore the diagnostic and prognostic potential of HSPs as biomarkers. Moreover, pharmacologic modulation of HSP activity--via HSP90 inhibitors (e.g., geldanamycin analogs), HSP70 ATPase blockers, or HSF-1 antagonists--offers novel therapeutic avenues. However, monotherapy may induce compensatory chaperone upregulation; thus, combination strategies targeting multiple HSPs or integrating conventional therapies may be required. Continued investigation into HSP localization, post-translational regulation, and interplay with oral microenvironmental cues will advance our understanding and enable translation into clinical practice.

Swami Vivekananda's life mission was to empower individuals through "Man-making education", which to him meant nurturing the complete development of a person - mind, body, and spirit. He believed education should go beyond just learning facts and passing exams, and instead help bring out the hidden potential within each learner. For Vivekananda, intellectual growth and spiritual wisdom were intertwined, and he advocated for a balance between the two. At the core of his philosophy was the beautiful synthesis of science and spirituality, which he saw as complementary, not contradictory, allowing individuals to live a more holistic, fulfilling, and purposeful life. This paper delves into the very aspect of Vivekananda's idea or the vision of Education posing an integrated rather than contradictory approach between Rationality and Spirituality. It explores how his philosophy of education seamlessly blends the coexistence of science and spirituality by addressing four fundamental questions: 'Who, Why, Where, and When.' Through an analysis of his teachings based on these principles, we will uncover how science and spirituality are not opposing forces but rather complementary elements that, together, shape individuals capable of meaningfully contributing to both society and their own personal growth.
