 Abstract

This study examines the socio-economic status of tomato producers in Mecheri Taluk, Salem District. A survey of 30 tomato farmers was conducted to gather data on their demographic characteristics, farm management practices, and economic performance. For the present study, the data was obtained from primary data. The primary data was collected from the selected respondents who were engaged in tomato producers. The tomato producers were selected from Mettur Taluk tomato producers was selected randomly, which accounted to 30 tomato producers in total of the respondents. The field investigation was carried out were related to agriculture year 2024-2025. The findings of this study have implications for policymakers and stakeholders seeking to improve the livelihoods of tomato producers in the region.

 Abstract

Compulsory licensing is a check-out mechanism by the government on the monopoly right granted to the patent holder. Compulsory licensing is granted generally when the patent holder abuses his exclusive rights, and it is proved on the concept of non-availability and non-affordability. Doha declaration paved a way for exploring the concept of compulsory licensing in the TRIPS Agreement in 2005. During the Era of the pandemic COVID-19 the concept of compulsory licensing in the Indian patent regime falls into the perspective of balancing of economic and public health disaster in an extreme emergency. This paper discusses the concept of compulsory licensing in Indian patent its evolution, conditions and drawbacks during the Pandemic.

 Abstract

Tuberculosis disease affects millions of people each year mainly in the developing country. Several researches were conducted to automatically diagnosis disease. Deep learning approach gave a higher result in tuberculosis images classification. In the present work, we proposed a combination of transfer learning and unsupervised learning to clustering the Tuberculosis Chest Radiography imagines. Combination of MobileNetV3Small with lighter version of SSDLiteX auxiliary stage without top layers was used as feature extractor and unsupervised K-means clustering for classifying the features extracted. Two kinds of experiment were carried out and our model achieved an overall accuracy comparable to the other works. Additionally, our model could be run on the lightweight device as smartphone.

 Abstract

Heart failure in young adults is rare and often multifactorial. We report a case of a 39-year-old man, an active smoker and cannabis user, admitted for de novo global heart failure following a recent flu-like illness. He presented with severe systolic dysfunction (LVEF 10%) and a left ventricular thrombus. Coronary angiography revealed unexpected multi-vessel coronary artery disease. This case highlights the role of smoking, cannabis use, and systemic inflammation in accelerating cardiovascular damage. Management included anticoagulation, heart failure therapy, and planned revascularization. Secondary prevention, including smoking cessation and long-term follow-up, is crucial to improving prognosis.
