Advanced numerical simulation is required to accurately capture the dynamic impact loads that high-speed rail systems impose on subsurface soils. High-speed rail systems impose dynamic loads that require advanced modeling to accurately assess their impact. This study develops a three-dimensional finite element model in PLAXIS 3D to simulate the dynamic response of a ballasted railway track subjected to high-speed train loading. Two constitutive soil models are evaluated: a simplified Linear Elastic (LE) model and a more advanced Hardening Soil model with Small-Strain stiffness (HSS). While both models provide reasonable predictions of dynamic response under the track, the HSS model demonstrates improved performance in capturing vibration attenuation and settlement behavior in the surrounding soil. The HSS model is attributed to its ability to account for non-linear stress-strain behavior and strain-dependent stiffness degradation, which the LE model does not capture. The findings emphasize the limitations of using purely elastic models for dynamic railway analysis and highlight the benefits of adopting more realistic constitutive models. The HSS model is shown to be more suitable for simulating subsoil behavior under high-speed train loading, particularly in areas where accurate prediction of ground deformation and vibration is critical.

Of the various species of sap suckers in rice ecosystem belonging to order Homoptera, white backed planthopper (WBPH), Sogatella furcifera was observed as a dominant insect pest infesting rice crop commonly in both rabi and kharif seasons. The peak density of WBPH during rabi season was much lower as compared to the kharif season. The infestation of WBPH was recorded at an early stage of the crop. The correlation analysis study revealed that WBPH exhibited negative significant correlation with minimum temperature and morning relative humidity during kharif season. The linear regression equations obtained from the present data would be helpful in predicting the occurrence of WBPH in the rice fields of eastern Vidarbha of Maharashtra (Central India).

Abstract: Feminist jurisprudence is one of the most transformative schools of legal thought, offering a systematic critique of the patriarchal assumptions embedded in law and legal institutions. Since its emergence in the 1970s, feminist jurisprudence has engaged with diverse theoretical strands, from liberal and radical feminism to Marxist, postmodern, and intersectional approaches. At its core, it questions whether law is truly neutral or whether it reproduces structural hierarchies that privilege male experiences while marginalizing women and other oppressed groups. Globally, feminist jurisprudence has influenced movements for reproductive rights, workplace equality, anti-discrimination laws, and gender-sensitive criminal justice reforms. In India, the discourse has been shaped by constitutional mandates of equality, personal laws, social reform movements, and the activism of women's groups. This paper examines the evolution of feminist jurisprudence, its theoretical underpinnings, its impact in global and Indian contexts, the judicial responses to feminist claims, and the critiques that challenge its assumptions. The analysis argues that feminist jurisprudence, while not without limitations, remains indispensable in reimagining law as a tool for substantive equality and social transformation.

This research study analyses the Grade 6 Science textbook," Curiosity" published by NCERT in light of new educational reforms implemented through National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE) 2023. The study focuses on the textbook's alignment with competency- based learning, integration of Indian Knowledge System (IKS), use of ICT, inclusivity, cultural relevance and pedagogical approaches. A comparison with previous NCERT textbook reveals a shift form content- loaded, outdated assessment to more inter- disciplinary and student- centered approach. Findings suggest that while the new textbook has significant merit in incorporating IKS and pedagogical approaches, it needs further refinement in use of ICT to fully execute NEP 2020 goals.

Drought is recognized as one of the most complex natural hazards that have a large negative impact on society, economic sectors and the environment. Drought events affect freshwater resources and can become a great threat to urban water supply systems. According to climate change projections with an increase of air temperature and duration of dry periods, cities may experience a serious water shortage in the future that can limit sustainable urban development In the first two decades of the 21st century, 79 global big cities have suffered extensively from drought disaster. Meanwhile, climate change has magnified urban drought in both frequency and severity, putting tremendous pressure on a city's water supply. Therefore, tackling the challenges of urban drought is an integral part of achieving the targets set in at least 5 different Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Yet, the current literatures on drought have not placed sufficient emphasis on urban drought challenge in achieving the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This review is intended to fill this knowledge gap by identifying the key concepts behind urban drought, including the definition, occurrence, characteristics, formation, and impacts. Then, four sub-categories of urban drought are proposed, including precipitation-induced, runoff-induced, pollution-induced, and demand-induced urban droughts. These sub-categories can support city stakeholders in taking drought mitigation actions and advancing the following SDGs: SDG 6 "Clean water and sanitation", SDG 11 "Sustainable cities and communities", SDG 12 "Responsible production and consumption", SDG 13 "Climate actions", and SDG 15 "Life on land".

The present paper highlights the diversity of insect fauna recorded in the different region of Hanumangarh district. The investigation provides baseline information on the occurrence of various insect species in this locality. Field surveys were carried out in Tibbi and its adjoining areas, resulting in the documentation of insects belonging to 12 different orders. Among these, the most prominent groups include Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Isoptera, Orthoptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera, and Hemiptera. The insect assemblage of the region was found to be dominated by butterflies, beetles, flies, crickets, ants, termites, bees, and wasps.
