Cardiovascular (CV) disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in the developing and the developed world. Mortality from CV disease had plateaued in the recent years raising concerning alarms about the sustained efficacy of available preventive and treatment options. Sacubitril/Valsartan is a much needed therapeutic advance in the avenue oh CV disease. It may help to live longer and lower chance of having to go to hospital for heart failure. This product contain 2 medications: Sacubitral and Valsartan.  Abstract

This paper is a comprehensive analysis of code alternation by Yoruba-English bilinguals on the Internet. Specifically, the study investigates the communicative functions of computer-mediated code-switching among Yoruba-English bilinguals on WhatsApp (A chatting application owned by Facebook Incorporated). Code is a neutral (as against language, dialect, sociolect and idiolect) term that can be used to refer to any kind of system that two or more people employ for communication. Therefore, code alternation is one of the sociolinguistic approaches to language change in any bilingual community (either the physical/real life community or the cyberspace). Consequently, code-switching is a by-product of code alternation. Code-switching is an important aspect of bilingual discourse and it is seen as performing five communicative functions as evident in the data collected for this study. The functions include the following: a referential function, a directive function, an expressive function, a phatic function and a metalinguistic function. Our findings revealed that the interlocutors on WhatsApp exhibit through their use of language to perform these communicative functions that human interaction takes place within a cooperative activity which is the domain of Systemic Functional Theory.

 Abstract

Work related musculoskeletal disorders have become a major risk in agriculture industry due to lack of ergonomically designed instruments and the wrong work postures occupied by the workers. This paper presents a study on various working postures occupied in manual transplantation activity of vegetables. The agriculture sector have major role in Indian economy and it is the place where work posture analysis is mostly neglected. The study was conducted on 70 workers engaged in various activities of vegetable production. Posture analysis tool Rapid Upper Limb Assessment was used. The different activities of the workers were recorded by video and still photography, and these images were used for analysis. The final scores of Rapid Upper Limb Assessment during various working activities were found to be high. The findings revealed that there are ergonomic deficiencies in the planning and work methods. A significant proportion of the workers are working in high risk postures. Thus the workers are under moderate to high risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders. The study recommended a proper implementation of ergonomics interventions program with awareness and training among workers to reduce the risks of WMSD.

 Abstract

Coke is a crucial raw material and a fuel used in blast furnace iron making. However, the coking industry with coal as the primary raw material is characterized by a relatively low energy utilization rate, high energy consumption per unit, complex process flows, abundant pollutionproducing links, and its being a large source of highly polluting matters. Therefore, the coking industry is considered a highly polluting industry. The exhaust gas pollutants generated during coking include total suspended particulate matter (TSP), particulate matter with aerodynamic diameters less than or equal to 2.5 ?m (PM2.5), sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The coking industry is also a substantial contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Long-term exposure to coke oven emissions results in inflammation of the skin and inner eyelids and lesions in the lung and stomach. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) classifies coke oven emissions as Group A carcinogens and links them to lung cancer (US EPA, 1999).

 Abstract

At this time of the global crisis, telecommunications play an important role in keeping people connected and working. To a large extent, this is largely the basis for streaming media, social media, and video conferencing to a new level of activity. In this article, we will pay special attention to 5G wireless cellular knowledge and ask profounder inquiries about how the technology will work and what new rations this epidemic may inspire in emerging 6G work. We are definitely going to miss something, so you can submit valuable comments. In the survey, it was found that strategies using potential skills will produce better returns, and these technology strategies can formulate a framework to regulator pandemics or support development of the entire society. A pandemic, which in turn helps control the spread of the infection. This research inspired a variety of implemented technologies that can help health system, the government, and the public against COVID-19 in various ways. In addition, rapid technological development during pandemic or its impact on environment and society were also discussed. In addition to technologies already implemented, this work also involves potential untapped skills that have potential prospects for application in pandemic situation control. In addition to various discussions, some suggested solutions are also proposed for certain situations.

 Abstract

The informal sector Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs) growth is very important to the development and expansion of an economy.Studies have revealed that SMEs in the informal sector are liquidated at infant stage and also not captured in the tax net.The study examined the impact of tax incentives on the growth of SMEs in the informal sector of South West ,Nigeria. The study used survey research design. The population consisted of 2,708 registered SMEs with with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDA). Using stratified and proprtionate quota sampling method to administer questionnaire .to 386 selected samples. The study administered 772 copies of the questionnaire with a retrieval rate of 88%reliability ranged between 0.70 and 0.87 coefficients. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The results showed that tax incentives have significant impact on gross margin growth with Adjusted R-squared of 0.890,F-statistics of 455.530 and p-value of 0.000.Also tax incentives have significant impact on asset tangibility growth with adjusted R-squared of 0.781,F-statistics of 60.220 and p-value of 0.000.The study concluded that tax incentives have the predictive power to grow of informal sector SMEs in Nigeria. The study recommended that Federal Inland Revenue Service and State Internal Revenue Board should introduce policies that enable the SMEs in the informal sector to be captured in the tax tax net through tax incentives. This will expand the tax revenue generation to both the federal and state governments of Nigeria.
