The shift towards sustainable consumption has emphasized the need to understand consumer behavior for organic food products, particularly in developing economies like India. This study examines the cognitive behavior of consumers in Tumkur District, Karnataka, focusing on factors influencing their purchase decisions. The purpose of the research is to explore the role of consumer awareness, perceived health benefits, environmental concerns, trust in organic certification, and socio-demographic factors in shaping consumer behavior. A sample of 400 respondents, distributed across ten taluks, was surveyed using a structured questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were employed to analyze the data and test the stated hypotheses. The findings reveal that gender significantly impacts consumer behavior, with female respondents demonstrating a stronger inclination towards organic food products. However, regional variations across the taluks were statistically insignificant. Tumkur and Tiptur emerged as areas with higher consumer engagement, suggesting potential hubs for organic food promotion. The study underscores the importance of consumer awareness and trust in certifications to drive organic food adoption.

Indian diaspora women writers have been performing a very important role in Indian English Literature. They have shown their solidarity across the borders and contributed in different forms of writings such as novels, autobiographies and short stories. Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is one of them whose writing has explored various shades of immigrant experience. She belongs to a post-modern group of Indian writers in English. She concentrates more on her immigrant women protagonists, and attempts to exhibit their harsh and humiliating experiences. Her works reveal her special interest in the lives of displaced diasporic communities. From the perspective of diasporic concerns, Divakaruni delicately portrays how expatriate women, naturally, are endowed with the feminine abilities to relate simultaneously to two homes. The study is restricted only to explore and explicate the overall reflection of diasporic experience in the selected works by Divakaruni. The researcher selects some major works in order to make a profound and comprehensive critical study on her selected works with an emphasis on the diasporic concerns.

This study investigates the role of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in fostering rural development in Telangana State, with a specific focus on Siddipet District. SHGs are recognized as a powerful tool for socio-economic empowerment, especially for women, by providing them with opportunities for self-sufficiency, financial inclusion, and collective decision-making. The research examines the socio-economic impacts of SHGs on their members, including improvements in income, education, healthcare, and overall quality of life. A case study approach was used to assess the functioning and successes of SHGs in Siddipet, focusing on the dynamics of group formation, member participation, and external support mechanisms. Through qualitative and quantitative methods, the study evaluates how SHGs contribute to rural development in terms of poverty alleviation, skill development, and access to financial resources. The study reveals that while SHGs contribute significantly to income generation, profitability is influenced by factors such as education, financial access, market conditions, and the leadership within groups. The findings provide insights into how these factors can be leveraged to enhance the sustainability and profitability of SHGs, contributing to broader rural development goals. Recommendations are made for improving the operational efficiency and support systems for SHGs in the district.

Abstract The purpose of the study was to find out the effects of plyometric training, circuit training and repetition training on resting heart rate among male sprinters. To achieve the purpose of the present study, eighty (N=80) male sprinters of age group between 15 and 19 years, who at least participated school level athletics competition were randomly recruited from various Higher Secondary Schools of Bengaluru and SAI centre, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The sprinters (N=80) were randomly assigned to four equal groups of twenty sprinters each. The groups were treated as Experimental Group I - plyometic training sprinters group (PTS), Experimental Group II - circuit training sprinters group (CTS) and Experimental Group III - repetition training sprinters group (RTS) and Control group sprinters (CGS) in an equivalent manner. The pre test and post test scores were analyzed through analysis using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results proved that The reaction time of the sprinter was significantly enhanced due to twelve weeks of plyometric training, circuit training and repetition training in the three experimental groups when compared to the non training group sprinters, i.e. control group. The repetition training group sprinters showed better excels in reaction time performance than circuit training group sprinters and plyometric training group sprinters. Further, circuit training group sprinters are better than plyometric training group sprinters in enhancing reaction time.

Beautiful colours of cloths are always preferred by today's generation. Textile industries are using synthetic dyes to prepare different coloured materials and these dyes are prepared from various compounds having carbon and nitrogen bonding such as -C=C, -N=N- and -C=N-. The azo dyes constitute largest group among them. After the use of these dyes in the industries, about 30-40% of dye content goes in effluent thus making waterbodies polluted. The treatment of dye effluents by various methods have been studies by many workers from time to time such as physico-chemical methods, adsorption, flocculation, ion exchange membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, these methods are not efficient because of their high cost which are not affordable, thereby keeping the effluents untreated most of the times. The microbes are efficient in decolourizing/ degradation of these dye effluents as compared with other methods, because of their cost effectiveness and environment friendliness. The thermophilic fungi are known to survive at high temperature environments there by producing the thermostable enzymes to withstand in elevated temperatures. Further, a variety of thermophilic microbial strains have been demonstrated to be useful in degrading dyes catalysed by various thermostable enzymes. In the present study attempts were made to assess the ability of thermophilic fungus Rhizomucor pusillus to adsorb the dyes. Two dyes, viz. Methyl violet and Basic fuchsin were selected. Maximum dye adsorption was observed in lower concentrations of dyes i.e. 1-5 ppm and at higher concentrations the adsorption was reported to be lesser. Fungi offer a promising solution for the treatment of dye-contaminated wastewater. Their ability to efficiently adsorb dyes, coupled with their sustainability and cost-effectiveness, makes them a valuable tool in environmental remediation efforts. Textile industrial effluents containing dyes is matter of great attention now a days as this activity adds more and more dyes in water bodies.

Online social networks have greatly expanded the ways in which we communicate with one another on a regular basis. Because of how much time we spend here, it has become an important part of the consumer decision-making process, particularly for young people who are seen as agents of change. This is why companies are putting a lot of effort into reaching out to social media users, particularly young people. This study's overarching goal is to learn how SMM influences the purchasing habits of young Indians. 145 students, ranging in age from 18 to 35, who are active on social media. The study's results provide marketers some pointers on how to handle their media investments in order to promote their brands on social media. For marketers to develop more successful tactics pertaining to adolescent purchasing behaviour, they must first have a deeper comprehension of this demographic and then identify various subsets within it via behavioural profiling. The originality of this research comes from its examination of the habits of the rapidly expanding consumer market in India, which includes the country's most avid shoppers and potential social media influencers.
