In an ever-evolving society, the intricate interplay between law enforcement, the media, and the public takes centre stage. This research investigates the multifaceted relationship among these entities, which profoundly shapes the dynamics of public safety and community well-being. It delves into the significant impact of media on the police-public interface, highlighting the potential for both positive and negative influences. Positive aspects of media involvement are illuminated, emphasizing how information dissemination, accountability, public awareness, community engagement, and advocacy for justice contribute to enhancing transparency and trust in law enforcement agencies. However, the study also underscores the challenges posed by sensationalism, bias, privacy concerns, and shallow reporting. Moreover, in an era characterized by the rise of social media, the paper explores the role of digital platforms in transforming the landscape of communication between police and the public. Additionally, the study reflects on the unique case of India, where media plays a pivotal role in shaping public perceptions of law enforcement. This research underlines the critical need for ethical media practices, media literacy, and constructive dialogues among the public, media, and law enforcement to foster positive change in society. As the landscape continues to evolve, understanding and harnessing the power and responsibilities of these key stakeholders is essential for a safer, more just, and well informed community.

Keloids and hypertrophic scars occur when there is excessive proliferation of fibrous tissue during the healing process of a skin injury. Keloids extend beyond the borders of the original wound, typically do not regress naturally and have a tendency to reappear after removal. On the other hand, hypertrophic scars do not exceed the limits of the initial damage and may partially resolve on their own.[1] Intralesional corticosteroids are commonly utilised for the treatment which largely work by suppressing the inflammatory process in the wound. They also reduce collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis and restrict the proliferation of fibroblasts. Typically, two or three injections of triamcinolone acetonide [10-40 mg/ml] are adequate, although in some cases, injections may need to be administered for a duration of six months or longer.[2]

This study investigates the influence of knowledge and attitudes towards sex education among high school teachers in Palakkad District, Kerala, considering the variables of gender and locale. Employing a descriptive survey research design, the study encompasses a sample of 150 high school teachers from government and aided schools, selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured knowledge questionnaire and a Likert scale attitude survey. The findings reveal that teachers possess a moderate to high level of knowledge about sex education, with significant differences observed based on gender and locale. Female teachers and those in urban areas exhibit higher knowledge levels compared to their male and rural counterparts. Attitudinal analysis indicates generally positive attitudes towards sex education among teachers, with notable differences based on demographic factors. Female teachers and urban teachers tend to have more favourable attitudes. A significant positive correlation between knowledge and attitude towards sex education is established, with variations based on gender and locale.

Philosophy addresses all facet of human existence, both our theoretical investigations and real-world issues. Applied philosophy includes media ethics. The impact of the media on human society is enormous. One instrument that has the power to alter a person's or a society's perspective is the media. Truth and Accuracy, Independence, Fairness and impartiality, Humanity, Accountability, and other fundamental ethical values must be upheld by the media. As a result, ethical concerns about religious organizations and their use of the media inevitably surface: are these organizations adhering to the ethical guidelines set forth by the media, or are they disregarding them? Nowadays, every organization uses the media as one of the tools to promote their own ideas and beliefs and especially social media. What views do religious organizations have on media ethics in relation to this question? In addressing all of these issues, I have selected Islam as a peacemaker since it would be too lengthy to address media ethics from the viewpoint of all other religions in this debate. Islam is an all-encompassing way of life, not merely a religion. All facets of human life are treated in Islam, just as philosophy either directly or indirectly addresses the totality of a human being. This essay will address media ethics and Islam in the context of practical ethics, that is, the guidelines provided by Islam for media ethics. The relationship between the media and Islam is very old. Because the method of propagation was chosen as the focal point of the Islamic religion, although at first it was carried out in a secret manner, later the religion was openly propagated. At present, there is wrong information about Islam spreading. Islam is mainly propagated by the media, and the media is largely responsible for this. The media should convey the correct message of Islam to the masses. Broad interpretations of Islam often lead to misinterpretations. There are numerous divisions within the "Islam". Since the newspaper is a classroom for learning for everyone, regardless of class, profession, or party, it is important to present the real explanation of the fundamentals of Islam here. Social media is a platform that allows users to freely express their opinions, often leading to the violation of ethical principles. This research paper primarily focuses on social media ethics, with a specific reference to Islam.

Sarcopenia, characterized by the gradual decline in skeletal muscle mass and strength, can start as early as the fourth decade of life. While protein intake has been linked to skeletal muscle mass and strength in older adults, there is a gap in understanding similar connections in middle aged individuals. The aim of the study is to assess the dietary protein intake in an apparently healthy population aged 41 60 years across high and low economic strata in the Mumbai suburbs. The study included 100 community dwelling adults, aged 41 60 years, from both low and high socioeconomic strata. Participants completed a 24 hour dietary recall for three days. Demographic and socioeconomic details were collected via a self administered questionnaire and the Modified Kuppuswamy Scale 2023. Body composition and handgrip strength were measured, and physical activity was assessed in MET minutes week. The mean protein intake aligns with the Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) but falls short of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA), highlighting the need for interventions to improve protein adequacy in this population. Protein intake from plant sources was seen on a more frequent basis than protein intake from animal sources. It was observed that high protein intake was directly associated with greater muscle mass and strength.

This paper explores the intricate use of romantic symbolism in Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poetry, focusing specifically on the interplay of light and dark. Coleridge, a pivotal figure in the Romantic movement, often employed symbolic imagery to convey complex emotional and philosophical themes. Among these symbols, light and dark play a crucial role in reflecting the tension between enlightenment and obscurity, clarity and mystery, which permeates much of his work. In Coleridge's poetry, light frequently symbolizes knowledge, purity, and divine inspiration. It is often associated with moments of revelation and spiritual awakening, providing a sense of clarity and transcendence. For instance, in "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner," the motif of light appears in the form of the moon and the sun, which guide and illuminate the mariner's journey, symbolizing hope and redemption amidst the darkness of his existential and supernatural trials. The light in this context not only represents physical illumination but also spiritual and moral insight that emerges through suffering and penance. Conversely, darkness in Coleridge's poetry is emblematic of ignorance, confusion, and the unknown. It often serves as a backdrop for exploring themes of internal struggle, moral ambiguity, and the supernatural. In "Kubla Khan," the dark and shadowy imagery of the "caverns measureless to man" evokes a sense of mystery and the sublime, highlighting the limitations of human understanding and the awe-inspiring power of nature. Darkness in Coleridge's work thus becomes a symbol of the limits of reason and the mysteries that lie beyond human comprehension. The interplay between light and dark in Coleridge's poetry reflects the Romantic preoccupation with dualities and the complex relationship between reason and imagination. Light and dark are not merely contrasting elements but interact to create a dynamic tension that drives the thematic exploration of his works. This duality illustrates the Romantic fascination with the sublime and the notion that profound truths often emerge from the reconciliation of opposing forces. This paper will analyse key poems by Coleridge to illustrate how the interplay of light and dark enhances the symbolic depth of his poetry. By examining the ways in which Coleridge employs these symbols, we gain insight into his philosophical and emotional landscapes, as well as the broader Romantic aesthetic. The study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of Coleridge's poetic vision and the symbolic strategies he employed to grapple with the complexities of human experience and the natural world.
