Pilonidal sinus is a disease of infective origin where usually a hair gets caught inside the skin near the sacral region between the buttocks, umbilical and axilla. It is associated with foul smelling pus discharge and pain. It is most common in hair dressers (seen in interdigital clefts), jeep drivers and 20- 30 year of age, mostly affects hairy men. Normal treatment followed is z plasty. But the healing of the wound is a challenging task. Here a report of a new case of the recurrent pilonidal sinus, presented with pain and swelling with discharge from the sacrococcygeal region is being discussed. A male patient of 29 year consulted to outpatient department of shalya tantra, Karnataka Ayurveda medical college. In Ayurveda, acharya sushruta has considered it under shalyaja nadi vrana (sinus or fistula due to foreign body). Sushruta mentioned chedana as well as Tilvaka Teekshna pratisaraneeya ksharkarma in the management of nadivrana.

Fistula-in-ano is a condition which has been recognised as a difficult surgical disease in all the ancient and modern medical sciences in the world. It is the recurrent nature of this disease which makes it more and more difficult for treatment. This is one condition for which the maximum types of surgical, para-surgical, and medical applications have been described. Sushruta had described a detailed surgical approach involving excision of the fistulous tract but was not quite satisfied with the surgical excision which often resulted into recurrence. Kshara sutra proved that 'chemical fistulectomy' is more complication free rather than 'surgical fistulectomy.' A 65-year-old male patient complaining of pus discharge with mild pain at the right side of perianal region since the last 5 months came to the shalya tantra opd of Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College. After assessing the case it was diagnosed as horseshoe fistula and was advised ksharasutra.

This paper aims to explore the potential threat posed by Nagamese in light of the increasing use of Nagamese in almost all the domains with reference to Tenyiphe-1 Village, Chumoukedima, Nagaland. Linguistic diversity has been a defining feature of the region, the state is home to numerous indigenous communities where each tribe is as unique as the language they speak. Among this diversity, Nagamese, a Creole, born out of language contact and historical interactions has emerged as a lingua franca, serving a bridge of communication for the diverse tribal communities. However, it is at this crossroads that the role of ligua franca given to Nagamese raises pressing questions about the repercussions it might have in the maintenance and preservation of the indigenous languages and cultural identity of the native people of Nagaland. The study employs a survey-based method where a set of 41 questions in the form of questionnaire is made which is filled by 300 respondents from Tenyiphe-1 Village. Critical analysis of the received data is carried out as well as from various articles, journals and research works related to the study.

This research paper investigates how women's identity served as a source of representation and how artists trained in structured art schools interpreted this context in their own distinct ways. Weaving the intricate ways in which visual narratives reflect and shape societal perceptions of femininity, agency, and cultural identity. The paper is an approach that integrates an amalgamation of western style art merging with Indian image, cultural studies and semiotics; the study aims to unravel the complex layers of meaning embedded within artistic depictions of women in the Indian modernist movement. As the colonial era progressed into the late 19th century, India experienced a significant confluence in its political and social spheres, leading to a new cultural convergence. This period introduced new dimensions to Indian society, redefining the concept of modernity. With the establishment of art schools and the designing of academic structures; art of the period embraced Western painting techniques while infusing them with distinctly Indian imagery. The interplay of this cultural dynamics, paved the way to analyse colonial legacies, socio-cultural movements, representations of gender and national identity. Delving into the work of pioneering Indian modernist artists such as M. V. Dhurandhar, Amrita Sher-Gil, Raja Ravi Varma, Hemant Majumdar and many more. The paper examines their use of imagery and interrogates how the art schools played an important role in generating new bodies of representation through their art. The designing of early modern art through academics has allowed for the exploration of a new definition of 'Indian' art, its techniques and styles, pushing the boundaries and bringing new perspectives. Western academics have often been seen as the epitome of art education and the syllabus designing of institutions like the Royal College of Art have influenced the approach to art in India. The research focuses on concerning factors like- How women as a subject were utilized as allegorical image, where complex themes such as domesticity, sexuality and resistance played an important role in constructing the layout of what we are subjecting to 'modern'. Has art merely served as a purpose to represent the Indianness or did it play a pivotal role in shaping the discourse surrounding our perception? In consideration with the above query the paper reciprocates through these reception and interpretation of women's representations in Indian modern art. This research proposal will aim to explore the nuanced development of early modern art in India by investigating its contextual shaping through academic structures. It offers insights into the complexities of representation intersecting the idea of ethnicity, caste, class and shaping the perceptions of femininity and empowerment with the Indian discourse.

This paper aims to identify the challenges faced by the linear textile model and provide a framework for its transition to a circular model. An extensive literature review was done to study the research undertaken in the last ten years. The review was conducted specifically for study papers related to the topic. Studies that extensively discuss sustainability, environmental impacts, alternative solutions, economic implications and the way forward have been reviewed and analysed. The literature review analyses numerous working papers, institutional reports and journal articles published by individual authors. Textile and apparel manufacturing is significant in any economy, employing about 2 million people. Yet, the supply chain of the existing apparel business model is very polluting, uses a vast amount of non-renewable resources and generates a high volume of waste. The increase in apparel production and consumption habits results in almost 87% of textile waste incinerated or discarded in landfills. These environmental concerns can be addressed if the textile sector shifts to the circular model. The paper provides a new interpretation of existing sources on circular economy and offers new insights into the topic area by emphasizing its relationship with collaborative working.

Because BCS Class-II medicines have a low solubility and dissolution rate, the main goal of this review was to increase their bioavailability and solubility. One of the important parameters for achieving the intended drug concentration in the systemic circulation and demonstrating a pharmacological response is solubility. Therefore, when developing their formulations, class II medications must improve their solubility and dissolution rate, especially when it comes to solid dosage forms like tablets and capsules.(1) As a result, numerous techniques and more recent technological advancements have been made to improve the solubility and bioavailability of class II medications.(2) This study reviewed the literature on more modern approaches or procedures as well as current studies on the formulation development of class-II medications (3)

This study critically analyzes digital literacy among adult learners, focusing on the impact of age and socio-economic status. A survey was conducted with a stratified random sample of 60 adult learners from the Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts. Utilizing a self-designed Digital Literacy Scale with a high reliability (Cronbach's alpha = 0.8), the study aimed to evaluate digital literacy across different age groups and socio-economic statuses. The results revealed a significant difference in digital literacy based on age, with the 36 to 45 years age group demonstrating the highest mean scores, while the 46 years and above group showed the lowest. Additionally, socio-economic status significantly influenced digital literacy, as the high socio-economic group achieved the highest mean scores compared to the low and medium groups. The findings underscore the importance of addressing the disparities in digital literacy among adult learners, particularly concerning age and socio-economic status. The significant effects suggest that targeted interventions are necessary to improve digital literacy, especially for older adults and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds. By fostering equitable access to digital resources and tailored educational programs, stakeholders can enhance digital competencies among adult learners, thus promoting lifelong learning and improving overall quality of life in a technology-driven society.
