 Abstract

Discussion method is a 21st century instructional method which is crucial to text comprehension as it promotes critical reading and higher level thinking in reading. This study examined the effects of discussion method among 153 national diploma one students. A reading comprehension achievement test (RCAT) was used to gather data for the study. The RCAT measured two reading comprehension skills: literal and inferential. Analysis of data was carried out using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) which revealed that discussion method improved reading comprehension of the students. The results showed that the students taught using discussion method achieved higher in literal and inferential comprehension skills than those taught using lecture method. The study recommended that teachers of English language to tertiary school learners should improve the reading comprehension of the students using the discussion method. Also the students should be encouraged to use higher order thinking skills in any reading activity.

 Abstract

It is generally a distinguished fact that Kerala is renowned as one of India's most literate states, abundant with efficient and hardworking young generation. As per the NIRF 2020 evaluation, 20 Kerala institutions are included among the top 100 universities in India. However, the perception of students in Kerala is that there is a strong aspiration to pursue higher education abroad and thereby obtaining an appropriate career advancement. This study is an elaborate attempt to elucidate the reason for the migration of students in Kerala and cherishing the ambition in obtaining permanent residence after graduation/further studyabroad.

 Abstract

Abstract: In the current times, health should be given highest priority in the current situation. It was best expressed by the Swiss-born physician Paracelsus, who said, "Health isn't everything, but without health, everything is nothing." In today's frenetic atmosphere, people's overindulgence in social media and the amount of time they spend on it, coupled with their strong indifference in sports and physical activity, weakens them over time mentally and physically as well as most critically, impedes societal growth. People's physical and mental healths are deteriorating day by day. As a result, a kind of anxiety or melancholy is emerging. They thus develop stress or a form of mental depression. This leads to a variety of forms of social degeneration. People are becoming impatient more often. Their hurried judgments have caused them to encounter a number of issues. For no apparent reason, they are growing despairing. Some people are making drastic choices, such as ending their own lives. The finest method for removing it is the path of yoga. The father of Yoga Philosophy, Mahar?i Pata?jali, mentioned Ast?ngayoga and asserted that it is a path to God-worship or liberation. However, yoga's spiritual path leads us to the ultimate understanding and eliminates the separation between the individual and the universal selves, offering us eternal happiness. The necessity or significance of yoga has grown significantly in the modern era since it promotes mental and physical development that is robust and youthful. When we practice yoga and maintain physical health, stress is insurmountable and our minds are strengthened for work. Regular yoga practice promotes body, mind, and soul harmony and leads to a person's holistic development. In addition to controlling issues and worries, yoga meets our daily necessities.

 Abstract

Rhinitis refers to inflammation of the nasal passages. This inflammation can cause a variety of annoying symptoms, including sneezing, itching, nasal congestion, runny nose, and postnasal drip (the sensation that mucus is draining from the sinuses down the back of the throat).  Abstract

ABSTRACT: A girl, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and an overall woman is a key to a family. The world can never be beautiful without a woman. Women's empowerment is a fundamental human right, essential for achieving gender equality and social justice. Nowadays women have faced so many problems, some of the most common crimes are rape, dowry, sexual harassment, kidnapping, cruelty by husbands, and relatives, assault on women, and sex trafficking. Law is the set of rules imposed to govern the behavior of people. The Indian government is being made to secure the lives of women from the violence, harassment, and dowry of their families and societies and so many initiative programs and various legislation contain several rights and safeguards for women. The rights of women in India can be classified into two or three categories: constitutional rights or provisions, legal rights, and special rights. The constitutional rights are given in the various provisions for women empowerment of the Indian constitution and the legal rights for women are given in the various laws or acts of the parliament and the state legislature. On the other hand, the Indian government is adopting various national policies and plans for women's empowerment. Further India is a democratic country so laws, development policies, plans, and programs are aimed at women's advancement in different fields.
