 Abstract

On Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary that falls on 30th January, India marks anti leprosy day every year. Since 1980s, the disease has a curable approach but the laws that govern are stuck in the British era. Currently, there are more than 100 laws that are from the British era. The lepers act of the raj era discriminate against persons with leprosy. The current article looks at the laws & social issues related to leprosy at state level, national level. Beginning with the historical perspective of leprosy, it delves into the therapeutics that also includes the homoeopathic therapeutics. The article discusses the Essential Medicine (EM) properties & popularity of homoeopathy in the Indian context. The article suggests a treatment protocol based on homoeopathic system of therapeutics. Further, the article discusses the concept of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) of World Health Organization (WHO) in which leprosy is one of the NTDs. This is one such NTD where the disease is completely curable but social issues related to leprosy have eclipsed the accrued therapeutic benefits since last 44 years. The cure for the disease is available since 1980. As social issues are tightly embedded in the entire leprosy domain, it is time to take benefit of the cultural factor related to homoeopathy. Homoeopathy came from Germany but India adopted it so whole heartedly that it became a part of the cultural integration in the context of medical pluralism. The article sees the role of homoeopathy of the AYUSH ministry through this unique lens.

 Abstract

The concept of Swatantra and Paratantra Vyadhi in Ayurved delineates independent and dependent disease conditions, respectively, providing a nuanced understanding of pathology and treatment strategies. This paper explores Paratantra Hrudroga, or cardiac disorders dependent on other causes, as outlined in Ayurvedic texts. Through a conceptual study, various Paratantra Hrudroga conditions are analyzed, elucidating their etiology, clinical manifestations, and treatment principles. Conditions such as Agnimandyaj Hrudroga and Udavartaj Hrudroga underscore the influence of digestive and urinary system dysfunction on cardiac health, while disorders like Unmadjanya Hrudroga highlight the impact of mental and emotional factors. Lifestyle-related factors, including alcohol consumption and sedentary habits, also contribute to Paratantra Hrudroga. Integrating Ayurvedic principles into contemporary cardiology practice can enhance therapeutic approaches and promote holistic well-being. This exploration of Paratantra Hrudroga contributes to the evolution of personalized and integrative approaches to cardiac care, aligning with the holistic ethos of Ayurved.

 Abstract

The article titled "Right to Education and Legal Framework for Digital Education in India" explores the evolution of the right to education in India and its intersection with the rapidly growing domain of digital education. The right to education, recognized as a fundamental human right, has been central to India's efforts to promote social and economic transformation, particularly in addressing historical inequities. The article discusses how the Indian legal and regulatory framework has adapted to the challenges and opportunities presented by digital education, which has become increasingly relevant in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic highlighted both the potential and the limitations of digital education, especially in a diverse country like India, where disparities in access to technology can exacerbate existing inequalities. The article further delves into the statutory system governing the right to education in India, focusing on key legislative milestones such as the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act) and its subsequent amendments. It also examines the role of the judiciary in shaping the legal landscape of digital education, emphasizing the need for a robust legal framework to address emerging issues such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and the regulation of educational technology platforms. Additionally, the article explores the implications of recent policy developments, including the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the proposed NEP 2024, which aim to integrate digital technologies into the education system while ensuring equity and inclusivity. The article concludes by addressing the challenges and prospects of harnessing digital education to fulfil the promise of universal education in India, underscoring the importance of a supportive legal and regulatory framework to ensure that digital education is accessible, equitable, and of high quality for all students.

 Abstract

Globally, cancer has been associated with a significant morbidity rate. Although there have been significant advancements in screening, prognosis, control, and survivorship over the past few decades, there are still challenging circumstances in providing individualized and record-oriented care. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer technology that is used for automation and prediction. It has become a promising solution to improve healthcare and promote accuracy in the field. Oncology AI programs include, but are not limited to, improving tumor molecular biology knowledge, optimizing most cancer investigations, and developing scientific practice (e.g., predicting the association of a few factors and outcomes - analysis and reaction). In this study, we examine the state of AI in cancer today, spanning its fundamentals, current advancements, and future prospects.

 Abstract

The human skin, a vital protective barrier, is constantly exposed to environmental pollutants, necessitating effective protection. Facial skincare products, including creams, lotions, and masks, play a pivotal role in safeguarding facial skin integrity. Peel-off masks, a unique dosage form, are gently applied and peeled off after a brief period, serving as remedies for various facial skin concerns such as wrinkles, aging, and acne. However, while literature abounds with formulations for herbal peel-off masks, the incorporation of activated charcoal as a key ingredient remains largely unexplored. Activated charcoal, renowned for its exceptional adsorbent properties, presents a promising addition to peel-off masks. By harnessing its ability to adsorb dust particles and unclog pores, activated charcoal enhances the efficacy of peel-off masks, particularly in combating environmental pollutants. This paper presents a novel formulation of an Activated Charcoal Peel-Off Mask, accompanied by comprehensive evaluation through various test methods. The formulation was meticulously crafted and rigorously tested to ensure optimal efficacy and safety. Subsequently, the Activated Charcoal Peel-Off Mask was applied to healthy female volunteers, yielding overwhelmingly positive results. This breakthrough in facial skincare not only offers protection against environmental aggressors but also stimulates metabolism, thanks to its occlusive effect. The inclusion of activated charcoal elevates the value of peel-off masks, providing a holistic solution for maintaining healthy and radiant facial skin.
