 Abstract

Professional grooming standards constitute a fundamental dimension of nursing professionalism, significantly influencing patient safety, therapeutic relationships, organizational image, and the overall quality of healthcare delivery. Adherence to appropriate grooming practices, including personal hygiene, professional attire, and institutional dress code policies, promotes infection prevention, reinforces professional identity, and enhances patients' confidence in nursing care. Nevertheless, disparities in nurses' knowledge, attitude, and practice regarding professional grooming standards continue to exist, potentially affecting the quality and consistency of clinical practice. The present study was undertaken to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice regarding professional grooming standards among nurses working at a selected hospital in Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. A descriptive research design was employed, and 80 nurses were selected using a non-probability convenience sampling technique. Data were collected through a self-structured questionnaire and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings revealed that a considerable proportion of nurses demonstrated inadequate knowledge, negative attitudes, and suboptimal grooming practices. Furthermore, knowledge scores showed statistically significant associations with selected demographic variables. The study underscores the necessity for structured educational interventions, effective institutional policies, and continuous professional development programmes to strengthen adherence to professional grooming standards and promote excellence in nursing practice.

 Abstract

This research provides comparative examination of requirements for prescription labelling in three regulatory super jurisdictions: the United States of America, the European Union, and India. Labelling on drugs is a vital communication means that facilitates proper use of medicine safely and effectively by communicating core information to prescribing physicians and patients. The research comprehensively analyses the regulatory directives for labelling exercises in these regulatory super jurisdictions, which include the guidelines of the U.S. FDA, the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and India's Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). Regulatory expectations regarding key components such as labelling formats, required content, language, and patient safety and risk communication strategies are found to be majorly similar and divergent, depending on differing public health priorities, legal requirements, and cultural norms. This study identifies regulatory gaps, industry challenges, and potential harmonization strategies to facilitate global trade and enhance consumer confidence. By understanding these frameworks, stake holders can navigate compliance more efficiently, fostering growth in labelling practices across the USA, Europe, and India. The conclusions highlight the necessity of balancing some labelling components to ensure global drug safety while acknowledging the necessity of local adjustments.

 Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is driving a paradigm shift in higher education, fundamentally transforming teaching methodologies, learning experiences, administrative operations, and academic research. This paper examines the dual-natured impact of integrating AI technologies, such as generative AI and intelligent tutoring systems, into university ecosystems. On one hand, AI offers unprecedented opportunities to scale personalized learning pathways, provide round-the-clock student support, automate administrative tasks for faculty, and accelerate research data analysis. On the other hand, its rapid adoption introduces critical disruptions, including threats to academic integrity, the erosion of students' independent problem-solving skills, algorithmic biases, and data privacy vulnerabilities. Ultimately, this study argues that the successful integration of AI in higher education depends not on the technology itself, but on proactive institutional governance. Universities must shift from reactive policing to deliberate pedagogical redesign, emphasizing authentic, project-based assessments and ethical framework cultivation to prepare students for an AI-augmented workforce.

 Abstract

The interaction between mental health and digestive health has been increasingly recognized in both Ayurveda and modern medicine. The gastrointestinal tract and the brain communicate through a complex bidirectional system known as the gut-brain axis, involving neural, hormonal, immune and microbial pathways. Emotional states such as stress, anxiety, anger and excessive thinking can significantly influence digestive processes and may lead to various gastrointestinal disturbances.

 Abstract

Road transportation is the backbone of India's economic and social development. However, rapid urbanization, population growth, and increasing vehicle ownership have resulted in severe transportation challenges such as traffic congestion, accidents, environmental pollution, fuel consumption, and inadequate public transport facilities. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) have emerged as an effective technological solution to improve transportation efficiency, safety, and sustainability. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the Indian road transportation system and examines the role of ITS in addressing existing transportation problems. Various ITS components, applications, and advanced transportation technologies are discussed along with their relevance to the Indian context. The study also highlights India's Vision 2032 transportation goals and the importance of technological modernization in achieving a safer, smarter, and more sustainable transportation network.

 Abstract

Access to knowledge in the institutions of higher learning in India is a significant aspect of the idea of educational fair dealing. Simultaneously, copyright law is aimed to defend the rights of publishers and authors against any unauthorized use of their work. The paper explores the thin line between institutional copyright infringement and educational fair dealing in higher education in India. It examines the law in the Copyright Act, 1957, and Section 52 that gives an exception in case of educational use. Important judicial cases such as the Delhi University photocopy case are also taken into consideration in the research, which provided clarity to the extent of reproduction of copyrighted materials in the name of academic purposes. Although in a given situation such practices can qualify as fair dealing, too much or commercial reproduction can constitute infringement. This brings about uncertainty in institutions, teachers, students, and publishers. The analysis will be conducted to find out the factors that indicate the fair dealing of an educational use or if it is an infringement which include purpose, amount, character of the work, and market impact. It also examines the grey spaces that exist due to the technological progress and digital learning environments. The study aims at suggesting less ambiguous principles towards balancing the interests of copyright owners and the constitutional aim of encouraging education and knowledge access. Finally, the research helps to realize how the Indian copyright law can be used to defend both the academic freedom and intellectual property protection in higher education.

 Abstract

Introduction Primary education forms the fundamental foundation for the cognitive, emotional, and social development of every learner. It is at this stage that the trajectory of a child's future educational journey is largely determined. However, one of the major challenges confronting primary education in West Bengal is the increasing prevalence of mathematics anxiety among students. Mathematics anxiety refers to a state of intense psychological tension, apprehension, and fear experienced while dealing with mathematical concepts, numerical operations, or problem-solving tasks. This anxiety significantly hinders students' natural cognitive development and academic performance (Ashcraft, 2002). From the perspective of educational psychology, mathematics anxiety occupies a substantial portion of a learner's working memory, thereby reducing the cognitive resources available for mathematical reasoning and problem-solving. As a result, students struggle to maintain the concentration necessary for solving mathematical problems effectively and often experience a form of cognitive paralysis, which adversely affects both their confidence and academic achievement.
