Objective: Insomnia (Anidra) significantly impairs quality of life, and conventional treatments with sedatives and hypnotics often lead to adverse effects. This review examines the efficacy of holistic alternatives--specifically, Ayurveda and Yoga therapies--utilizing Dincharya procedures (Shiroabhyanga, Padabhyanga, Karnabhyanga, Nasya) and yoga practices for managing insomnia. Data Source: The review analyzed clinical trials, case studies, and review articles obtained from reputable databases including Google Scholar, PubMed, Shodhganga, and Dhara Portal. Studies published between 2014 and 2024 were considered, with eligible reports limited to English-language publications. Review Methods: Fourteen studies were critically appraised, including 9 randomized controlled trials, 3 review articles, and 2 case reports. Inclusion criteria targeted studies involving participants aged 18 to 95 years, with some focusing on elderly populations. The appraisal employed criteria such as study design, sample size, outcome measures (including the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Insomnia Severity Index, and serum cortisol levels), and risk of bias, with the majority adhering to PRISMA guidelines. Conclusion: Findings indicate that interventions such as Nasya, Shiroabhyanga, Padabhyanga, Karnabhyanga, and Pranayama significantly enhance sleep quality, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being--with combined interventions showing superior outcomes compared to single therapies (e.g., Bhramari Pranayama achieved a 17.9% reduction in serum cortisol). However, heterogeneity among interventions, small sample sizes, and methodological limitations restrict the generalizability of these results, underscoring the need for further large-scale trials.

Viral Arthritis is joint inflammation caused by viral infection. It can occur during or after various viral illnesses and usually presents as acute or subacute joint pain, swelling, and stiffness. According to allopathic medicine, viral arthritis is managed symptomatically using NSAIDs, analgesics and in some cases, antibiotics. However, in certain individuals, joint pain and swelling may persist even after the virus has been cleared from the body. This study highlights patients who experienced such persistent symptoms and were successfully treated using Ayurvedic medications and Panchakarma therapy. In Ayurveda post viral arthritis can be compared with complication of Aagantuj jwara. Aagantuj jwara in ayurveda refers to fever caused by external factors like Microorganisms, Trauma or injury, Poison or toxins, Environmental exposures (extreme cold, heat, etc.), Emotional factors like fear, anger (especially in fever related to rakta-dhatu). The external factor enters the body and disturbs the doshas mostly Vata and Pitta. Disturbance to Agni leads to Aama formation. Rakta dhatu dushti is also seen. This causes a febrile response characterized by inflammation, body pain, and systemic symptoms. Ayurvedic treatment focuses on treating the root cause, Balancing doshas (especially Vata and Pitta), Ama pachana (digesting toxins) and rakta dhatu shodhana. The SRDP treatment claims to offer a holistic approach targeting the root causes. It involves four stage process targeting detoxification, strengthening, root cause removal, and regeneration. By using SRDP treatment it showed good improvement in post viral arthritis. Hence the ayurvedic treatment can cure post viral arthritis. With SRDP treatment when post-assessment was done, patient showed significant improvement in the pain relief, showed improvement in range of motion of the joints, increase in the muscle strength and noticeable improvement in functional capacity

Infertility, particularly in females, has emerged as a global health concern influenced by lifestyle stressors, environmental toxins, hormonal imbalances, and advancing maternal age. The early post-implantation phase is especially sensitive to such disruptions, leading to compromised embryo development and failed pregnancies. Tinospora cordifolia, a plant widely used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine, has shown promising fertility enhancing effects, particularly due to its adaptogenic, immunomodulatory, and antioxidative properties. This review compiles preclinical and pharmacological evidence supporting the role of T. cordifolia in reproductive health. With a rich phytochemical profile including alkaloids, glycosides, and diterpenoid lactones, the plant supports endometrial receptivity and embryo viability. This article aims to provide an evidence-based perspective on T. cordifolia as a potential natural intervention for improving fertility outcomes during the critical early post-implantation window.

This research looks at the part played by morphology in learning to read and its influence in bilingual students in both alphabet and non-alphabet-based languages. Identifying and working with morphemes in language is linked to better word recognition, building vocabulary and understand what is read. The paper discusses the way in which children's ability to learn different forms of speech develops, affects their ability to form sounds and grammar and helps them grow in reading and writing. The study explains that morphological features such as those found in English, Chinese, Arabic and Kurdish, work differently and examines how transferring some aspects from one language to another takes place when people master different languages. It seems that detailed instruction about how words are built in a language greatly supports fast reading, mainly in settings where multiple languages are used. It is clearly shown in the research that teaching morphology improves literacy for learners from many different language backgrounds and ages.

Ultra-processed foods (UPFs) have become increasingly prevalent in diets worldwide, raising serious public health concerns. UPFs are characterized by high levels of added sugars, unhealthy fats, sodium, and synthetic additives, and their intake has been linked to a heightened risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and certain cancers. Global consumption of UPFs has risen dramatically in the past few decades, now accounting for roughly half of daily caloric intake in some high-income populations. These foods are engineered for hyper-palatability and convenience but often lack essential nutrients, contributing to chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and gut microbiome disruptions that underlie their association with NCDs. This review summarizes evidence from the past 15 years on UPF consumption trends (globally and in India), the health and nutritional impacts of UPFs, and the mechanisms by which they exacerbate NCD risk. Socio-economic and behavioral drivers of UPF consumption - including urbanization, affordability, convenience, and aggressive marketing - are also examined. Conclusions: UPF intake is strongly correlated with adverse health outcomes and represents an urgent challenge for public health. Reducing UPF consumption will require multi-sectoral strategies, from policy interventions (e.g. improved food labelling, marketing regulations) to public education and improved access to minimally processed foods. The paper also outlines key areas for future research to inform evidence-based policies and interventions on this critical issue.

This study explores the key determinants influencing Indian women's preferences and purchasing decisions regarding beauty products, focusing on the roles of digital marketing, brand attributes, cultural influences, and sustainability concerns. With a sample of 100 Indian women aged 18 to 45, the research employs purposive sampling to capture insights from both Generation Z and Millennials across various regions of India. Using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, chi-square tests, and regression analysis, the study identifies and categorizes the primary factors that shape consumer behavior in this sector. Findings reveal that digital marketing, especially social media advertising and influencer endorsements, plays a dominant role in driving purchase intentions, with younger women showing significantly higher responsiveness to these channels. Brand attributes such as quality, reputation, and packaging are also critical in shaping consumer choices. Additionally, cultural and regional influences continue to affect beauty product preferences, underscoring the importance of tradition and localized marketing. Sustainability concerns, while currently a secondary factor, indicate rising consumer awareness about eco-friendly and ethical product attributes. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex motivations behind beauty product consumption in India, offering practical implications for marketers to design targeted strategies that combine digital engagement, cultural relevance, and sustainability initiatives. By aligning their marketing efforts with these key determinants, beauty brands can better meet the evolving needs of Indian women consumers, enhancing customer loyalty and market competitiveness.
