Abstract This study delves into the complex interplay between nature and spirituality in Anita Desai's The Village by the Sea, offering an eco-spiritual reading that unveils the thematic richness of the novel. Desai weaves environmental awareness with the theology of nature, treating it as both a matter of physical reality and a source of succor, meta-meaning, and meta-level existence. This study examines how the novel depicts nature as a divine, life-giving power affecting characters' emotional and psychological strength, forging deep links between human lives and the natural world. Eco-spirituality, a critical outlook, regards humanity and nature as profoundly interdependent and recognizes the sacredness of the environment. This philosophy, rooted in Indian tradition, aligns with the themes presented in The Village by the Sea, where the sea and the land are not just geographical features but spiritual elements that govern the protagonists' lives. Through its exploration of the ways in which natural elements manifest themselves in the novel, the research points to the mystical nature of Desai's environmental sensibilities. The sea, especially, becomes a recurring motif, signifying both nourishment and transcendence. For the protagonists, Hari and Lila, the sea is not only an economic lifeline but also a constant presence, bringing fortitude, hope, and continuity amid their hardships. Likewise, the land, shown as nurturing but wild, parallels the characters' psychological and emotional development and strengthens the eco-spiritual perspective. Examining these thematic concerns focuses on secondary sources such as critical readings on Desai's texts and academic discourse surrounding eco-spirituality in the Indian context. Literary examinations provide valuable context for seeing Desai's narrative as reflecting traditional Indian ecological philosophies, which view nature as divine and interwoven with life. It also explores how eco-spirituality in The Village by the Sea reflects global conversations on environmental ethics, sustainability, and spiritual ecology, positioning the novel within contemporary literary and philosophical debates. Moreover, the study establishes The Village by the Sea as a part of the spiritual school of literature, highlighting its contribution to eco-spiritual writing in Indian fiction. Through its new-age focus on the intersection of ecological awareness and spiritual resilience, the novel serves as a model for how literature can advocate for environmental consciousness alongside human spirituality. The book also sets the stage for a comparative literary approach, especially with Geetanjali Shree, another novelist who activates other thematic aspects that force us to consider the world beyond its Indian borders. This study seeks to explore the ways in which both writers use eco-spiritual tropes to create narratives that transcend traditional environmental discourse--a vision grounded in transformative, philosophical responses to nature and spirituality. In the end, this essay makes the case that Desai's The Village by the Sea is still a noteworthy piece of literature in conversations about spiritual harmony and environmental sustainability today. The study affirms the spiritual aspects of nature while highlighting the novel's ongoing importance in addressing urgent ecological issues by fusing textual analysis with eco-spiritual theory. The Village by the Sea serves as both a literary and philosophical example of the importance of promoting environmental stewardship and acknowledging the sanctity of the natural world through its examination of the symbiotic link between humans and nature.

Abstract: The integration of financial services with modern technology--fintech--has brought about unprecedented transformation in India's financial ecosystem. Traditionally plagued by inefficiencies, paperwork, and limited accessibility, financial services are now becoming more inclusive, accessible, personalized, and real-time. This paper explores how fintech innovations are reshaping customer experiences across different segments of the Indian financial landscape. It also investigates how government initiatives, demographic shifts, smartphone penetration, and policy support have contributed to the growth of this sector. Despite the success, fintech in India faces multiple challenges such as data security concerns, regulatory fragmentation, and digital illiteracy (PwC & ASSOCHAM, 2019). This paper not only reviews current transformations but also proposes strategies for sustainable growth in India's fintech landscape.

This paper reconstructs B.R. Ambedkar's moral philosophy of gender justice by examining his criticism of Hindu patriarchy, his embrace of Buddhist ethical principles and his vision for legal reform. Ambedkar denounced religious customs that subjugated women and treated such norms as moral violations against human dignity. He turned to rational humanism and Buddhist compassion to frame a moral worldview grounded in equality, liberty and public responsibility. Drawing from core texts--Annihilation of Caste, The Buddha and His Dhamma and the Constituent Assembly Debates--this study uncovers a coherent ethical framework that places gender justice at the center of democratic morality. Ambedkar did not view patriarchy as a sociological byproduct but as a foundational ethical crisis in Indian civilisation. His synthesis of rational autonomy and social compassion offers a transformative moral paradigm that retains urgent relevance in modern feminist and legal discourses.

The Sand Filter Machine is a mechanical system designed to remove impurities, debris, and suspended particles from sand, making it suitable for construction, water filtration, or other industrial uses. The machine operates on the principle of mechanical separation, where sand passes through a series of sieves, vibrating screens, or filter beds that allow fine particles to pass while retaining larger contaminants. It may be powered manually, electrically, or through automated systems depending on the design requirements. This filtration process enhances the quality and consistency of the sand, improving its utility and reducing environmental pollution caused by unfiltered sand use. The machine is especially beneficial in regions where natural sand contains high levels of clay, silt, or organic materials. Through efficient design, the sand filter machine promotes resource sustainability, operational efficiency, and reduced labor costs in sand processing.

In modern educational and organizational environments, accurate and efficient attendance tracking is critical for performance monitoring and security. This project presents a dual-mode attendance entry system that integrates face recognition technology with RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) to enhance both security and reliability. The system captures and verifies facial features using a camera and facial recognition algorithms, while also validating identity through RFID tags assigned to individuals. By combining these two methods, the system reduces the chances of proxy attendance and improves automation in attendance logging. The proposed solution is scalable, user-friendly, and ensures high accuracy, making it suitable for institutions seeking to modernize their attendance procedures.

Demographic Factors of Moral Distress: A Correlational Study on Indian Nurses Rimi Chakraborty Guide Dr. Asha Sreenivasan ABSTRACT Introduction: Moral distress in the healthcare sector significantly impacts the well-being and performance of healthcare professionals, particularly nurses. This study aims to explore the demographic correlates of moral distress among nurses, focusing on two major domains: Frequency and Distribution of moral distress levels. Methods: A Correlational study was done on with 50 nurses working in Kolkata, a metropolitan city in the state of West Bengal, India. Participants were selected from diverse demographic backgrounds, including variations in Gender, Educational Qualification, Work Experience, and Unit of Work. The levels of moral distress (Frequency and Distribution) were assessed in relation to these demographic variables. A descriptive design and Purposive sampling technique was used in this study Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. Also, point biserial correlation was employed to examine the relationships between moral distress and demographic factors. Results: Descriptive statistics indicated minimal discrepancies in the mean levels of both Frequency and Distribution of moral distress across all demographic variables, except for the unit of work (frequency 22.921, SD = 3.057 and distribution 26.934, SD = 3.284). The unit of work (ICU) the mean differences in Frequency and Distribution were comparatively larger. The point biserial correlation revealed that Frequency and Distribution of moral distress levels among nurses were significantly and positively correlated (r = .282, p<0.01). The unit of work was the only demographic variable found to be significantly (and positively) correlated with both Frequency and Distribution of moral distress. Discussion: The findings of the research could elucidate the importance of the unit of work in influencing the levels of moral distress among nurses, suggesting that the nature of work plays a critical role in the experience of moral distress among the nurses. The need to identify and improve factors associated with moral distress among nurses to enhance their well-being and performance has been established.
