The purpose of this study was to evaluate the "effectiveness of chin tuck versus neck isometrics to alleviate pain, and disability and to improve cervical range of motion among Cervical Radiculopathy patients." For this experimental study, a total of 40 patients (20 in each group) with cervical radiculopathy were recruited from physiotherapy ward. The experimental method was used to assign participants to the chin tuck exercise group and neck isometrics group. Patients in both groups received 12 supervised treatment sessions (3 times per week for four weeks). Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), and inclinometer Neck Disability Index (NDI) were used to assess pain, cervical range of motion, and quality of life at baseline and after 4 weeks. Pre and post-treatment comparison of cervical ranges of motion score in experimental has shown that post-treatment mean and standard deviation improved with p < 0.05, depicting that neck isometrics effectively enhance cervical ranges in patients with cervical radiculopathy. In contrast, pre and post-treatment comparison of cervical ranges of motion score in group B has shown that post-treatment mean and standard deviation improved with p < 0.05, showing that Chin Tuck treatment effectively improves cervical ranges in patients with cervical radiculopathy. In conclusion, both interventions are effective in the treatment of cervical radiculopathy.

The following study focuses on the identification of potential adventure tourism sites using Geographical Information System (GIS) and Weighted Multi-criteria Analysis (WMCA) techniques in the district of Kalimpong, West Bengal, India. Five thematic parameters have been incorporated in this study, namely: slope, terrain ruggedness index, vegetation, elevation, and aspect. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to determine the weights of various multi-influencing factors (MIF) for the identification of different potential areas for the development of adventure tourism within the district. The study concluded by showing that about 87.56% of the district's total area has high to the very high potentiality of developing sites for adventure tourism. Finally, a total of 15 adventure tourism potential sites have been marked within the very high potential zone, which covers about 34.20% of the total land area. The study provides a feasible yet efficient mechanism to develop tourism and allied services.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the "Effectiveness of Bobath Approach versus Conventional therapy to improve upper limb and trunk functioning in post-stroke patients." For this randomized controlled study, a total of 36 patients (18 in each group) who suffered from ischemic stroke were recruited from The Body Lab Physiotherapy and Multispeciality Clinic and Vidya Jeewan Physiotherapy Centre, New Delhi between duration December 2023 and April 2024. A simple randomization method was used to assign participants to the Group A - Bobath approach with conventional therapy (n=18) and Group B - Conventional therapy (n=18). Patients in both groups received 20 supervised treatment sessions (5 times per week for four weeks). The Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) scale and Motor Activity Log Scale were used to assess upper extremity functioning and quality of movement of the affected part at baseline and after 4 weeks. Statistical analysis of the data revealed that while comparing both the groups, significant improvement was seen in all outcome measures. However, Group A showed more significant improvement with a p-value of 0.05 when compared to Group B in improving upper limb and trunk functioning in post-stroke patients. In conclusion, the Bobath approach is more effective in improving upper extremity and trunk functioning when compared to conventional therapy.

In Siddha medicine there are 32 types of internal medicine and 32 types of external medicine. Among these, Kiyazham is one of the form of internal medicine. The aim of this drug review is to validate the Siddha herbal formulation Kamalai Kiyazham with scientific evidences. The medicinal uses and therapeutic actions of each ingredient used in this formulation matched with current research findings from various research publications. The ingredients present in this formulation are effective in the treatment of Kamalai (Jaundice). Based on the evidence on the Siddha literature and the modern scientific research studies provide keyhole for resulting the activities such as Hepatoprotective, Anti-inflammatory, Anti-viral, Analgesic that are mostly present in ingredients of Kamalai Kiyazham as evident from the review.

Introduction: Idiopathic anterior knee pain (IAKP) is one of the most common conditions to bring active young patients to a sports injury clinic; it is reported in about 40% of adolescent athletes. Idiopathic anterior knee pain (IAKP) is a common musculoskeletal disorder typically occurring in physically active people aged 40 years and younger. Methodology: It is an experimental study of pre-test and post-test. The sampling method is Purposive random sampling and sample size is 20. The duration of study is 4 weeks. The inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria are considered during their selection. Subjects were randomly divided into 2 parts - 'A'&'B'. Group 'A' will receive open kinetic chain and closed kinetic chain exercises. Group 'B' will receive close kinetic chain exercises with hip strengthening exercises. Outcome measure was NPRS and VAS scale. Results: The mean difference and standard deviation for pain score between pre and post treatment for Group B are recorded. Analysis of the data showed that there is reduction in pain score and improvement in functional ability. The comparison of significance of reduction in the pain score and functional ability score between pre and post treatment programs for Group A and pre and post treatment programs for Group B was done with paired 't' test values. Conclusion: This study concluded that the group A showed better improvement than the group B in reduction of pain and gaining improvement in functional ability.
