The exponential growth of cloud computing has led to significant energy consumption and carbon emissions, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable and energy-efficient cloud infrastructures. This study presents GreenCloudSched, a novel task scheduling algorithm designed to optimize energy consumption while maintaining performance efficiency in cloud environments. We conduct a comprehensive comparative analysis between GreenCloudSched and several state-of-the-art scheduling algorithms, including Energy-Efficient Dynamic Scheduling (EEDS), Power-Aware Best Fit Decreasing (PABFD), and CloudSim's default heuristics. The evaluation metrics focus on energy consumption, task execution time, CPU utilization, and system throughput. Experimental results demonstrate that GreenCloudSched outperforms existing approaches by achieving substantial reductions in energy usage and improving overall resource utilization without compromising quality of service (QoS). This research contributes to the advancement of green cloud computing by offering a scalable and adaptable scheduling solution for next-generation sustainable cloud infrastructures.

Second language acquisition (SLA) is not just a cognitive and linguistic competence but also entails emotional, social, and psychological facets. Emotional Intelligence (EI), or the ability to recognize, regulate, and utilize emotions to navigate personal and social situations effectively, has become an important determinant of SLA success. This paper discusses the relevance of EI in SLA by investigating its application in promoting motivation, minimizing language anxiety, encouraging learner autonomy, and facilitating interpersonal communication. In a critical discussion of existing literature and empirical research, the paper discusses how emotionally intelligent learners manage linguistic difficulties more effectively and preserve resilience when dealing with linguistic and cultural obstacles. The article also discusses theoretical models connecting EI and SLA, illustrating the multidimensionality of language acquisition. Finally, the conclusions indicate that EI cannot be considered peripheral but needs to be regarded as fundamental to successful second language acquisition, with significant implications for students, teachers, and curriculum planners.

Background: Deaths by ligation of neck are in practice from the time immemorial and before advent of civilization. In uncivilized societies, the application of ligation for taking away the life of another person was one of the commonest practices which were successfully carried out into the civilized societies. Hanging is that form of violent asphyxial death in which ligature marks are found and it is mainly based on the constricting forces which is : (i) either by the exclusion of air from lungs or oxygenated blood from the brain, (ii) by means of ligature around the neck, (iii) the constricting force is the weight of the body. Results: The data of present cross-sectional study of 100 cases with the aim, injuries over neck due to ligature was collected from in the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Institute of Medical Science (IMS), BHU, Varanasi, U.P. India. The total duration of sampling was six months and different aspects such as sex ratio, age group involved, residence, ligature material used type of hanging, place of hanging, the Position of the knot and other external findings involved were taking under consideration. Conclusions: It was found that the most common cause of death in Varanasi region was Socio-economic Status of the victims with a male: female ratio of 1.8:1 with age group of 20- 29 years being most commonly involved.

The digital transformation of Indian agriculture has become a key strategy for addressing challenges such as low productivity, fragmented landholdings, supply chain inefficiencies, and climate variability. Emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and big data analytics are reshaping farming practices, optimizing resource utilization, and enhancing supply chain transparency. This transformation is supported by government initiatives like AgriStack, eNAM (Electronic National Agriculture Market), and AI-driven climate advisories, which aim to improve market access, streamline supply chains, and support climate resilience strategies (Usenko et al., 2024). Despite these advancements, digital adoption in Indian agriculture faces significant barriers, including infrastructure deficits, digital illiteracy, high costs of technology, and regulatory challenges (Goswami et al., 2023). The lack of digital infrastructure in rural areas, combined with limited financial access for small-scale farmers, has slowed the implementation of smart agricultural solutions (Ashokkumar & Naik, 2021). However, integrating precision farming, blockchain for supply chain traceability, and AI-driven predictive analytics presents an opportunity to revolutionize the sector. This paper explores the key opportunities, challenges, and policy recommendations for scaling up digital transformation in Indian agriculture. It evaluates the role of government-led initiatives, agritech startups, and financial inclusion models in accelerating digital adoption. Recommendations focus on bridging the digital divide, enhancing digital literacy, improving access to financial resources, and fostering public-private partnerships (Tyagi & Kumar, 2020). The study concludes that a collaborative approach among stakeholders--including policymakers, researchers, and private sector players--will be essential to ensuring an inclusive, efficient, and sustainable digital agricultural ecosystem in India.

Architecture programs are widely recognized as some of the most challenging and rigorous academic disciplines, characterized by an intense studio-based learning culture, heavy workloads, and a highly competitive environment. These factors demand not only technical expertise but also exceptional time management, creativity, and resilience from students. In India, the impact of these challenges is compounded by additional societal and academic pressures, where students often face expectations for high achievement and the pressure to succeed in an intensely competitive job market. As a result, architecture students in India experience unique stressors that can profoundly affect their mental health and overall well-being. This paper delves into the various factors that influence student mental health in the context of Indian architecture programs, focusing specifically on the studio culture, the demands of workload, and the competitive atmosphere pervasive in these programs. It critically examines how these elements contribute to the stress, anxiety, and burnout often reported by architecture students. Furthermore, the study investigates the extent to which educational institutions are equipped to address these mental health challenges by providing adequate support systems, such as counseling services, peer support networks, and wellness programs. By analyzing the current landscape and proposing practical interventions, this paper aims to highlight the need for a more supportive and holistic approach to architecture education that fosters a healthier and more sustainable academic environment for students.

Arupa Patangia Kalita, a renowned Assamese writer, is celebrated for her socially engaged fiction that highlights the voices of marginalized women and ethnic minorities. Her novel, The Story of Felanee, originally written in Assamese and translated into English by Deepika Phukan, depicts the complex interplay of gender, identity, and exclusion in conflict-ridden Assam. This paper examines how Kalita's narrative focuses on the life of Felanee, a woman of mixed ethnic heritage, to illustrate the intersectional marginalization of gender, ethnicity, and class. Through a subaltern feminist lens, the study investigates how women are silenced or erased in nationalist and insurgent discourses, and how Kalita restores agency through narrative voice and communal solidarity. The novel acts as a counter-discourse to hegemonic representations of Assamese identity, challenging dominant historiographies.
