Neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer's disease (AD), pose a major health challenge with few effective treatments available. Projections show AD will affect 135 million people by 2050, placing a heavy burden on individuals and healthcare systems. Current treatments are often ineffective and can have significant side effects. Natural compounds from herbs, fruits, vegetables, and nuts have shown promise in preventing neurodegeneration and enhancing cognitive function in preclinical studies. The effectiveness of these compounds can be improved by incorporating them into nanocarriers like nanoparticles and nanogels, which enhance stability, targeting, and specificity. Additionally, alternative therapies such as acupuncture and dietary supplements may offer valuable approaches to managing and preventing AD.

The most important requirement for maintaining life is Ahara, or food. According to Ayurveda, one of the key pillars for a good existence is Ahara, or food, which is one of the Trividha Upasthambha1 (sub-pillars of the body). Ayurveda places a strong emphasis on eating a food that is both nutritious and healthful for a healthy lifestyle. An incompatible diet, or Viruddha Ahara, is one that throws off the body's natural equilibrium. When two foods are consumed together or when a certain diet is followed, it can lead to toxicity; this is known as an incompatible diet. Gara Visha2 (artificial poison) is comparable to even an unsuitable diet. Viruddha (incompatible diet) refers to foods that, when ingested, aggravate the Doshas but do not eliminate them from the body, resulting un irregularities in the Dhatu (body tissues). If consumed simultaneously and constantly, the incompatible diet may be compared to poison and produced poisoning. The western way of life exposes people to poisons on a large scale. In the context of Viruddha Aaharajanit Vyadhis (incompatible food-induced diseases) and their prevention in Brihattrayi, the current article reviews Viruddha Ahara (incompatible diet).

Guillain-barre-syndrome is the most common type of acute polyneuropathy. It is a rare disorder and it is an acute diffuse post infective disease involving spinal roots, peripheral nerves and occasionally cranial nerves causing generalized paralysis. The nerve injury causes pain to precede muscle weakness that ascends rapidly from lower to upper limbs, areflexia, numbness, ophthalmoplegia, often with pupillary paralysis. This present case is the effectiveness of Ayurvedic Panchakarma Treatment along with the intravenous immunoglobulins in the management of Guillain-barre-syndrome. The signs and symptoms of GBS can be correlated with Sarvangavata in our Ayurveda classics having the symptoms like Ruja, Cheshta Nivrutti, Vaksthambha. The line of treatment in the other medicinal systems includes Plasmapharesis or intravenous immunoglobulin therapy or ventilatory support gives only symptomatic relief and the chances of re-occurrence are more, so in such cases the Ayurvedic Panchakarma plyas an important role. A 17 year old male patient visited to Sane Guruji Aarogya Kendra OPD with complaining of severe dysphagia, dysarthria, bilateral upper limbs weakness, bilateral leg pain since 3 days. He was diagnosed with Guillain-barre syndrome. GBS can be correlated with Sarvangavata by various symptoms. The patient was admitted in Sane Guruji Aarogya Kendra ICU and managed with Sarvanga Abhyanga (oleation therapy), Sarvanga Swedana (Steam therapy), Basti (Enema), Nasya (Nasal administrations of Ayurvedic drugs) along with Intravenous immunoglobulins. He got relief in all clinical features in 10 days. The collected data emphasize the potential of Ayurveda interventions in GBS. Remarkable results were observed in the form of improvement in muscle power with speech improvement. There was no difficulty in deglutition, upper limb movements, standing, walking after treatment. And now patient is almost near to normal.

Thyroid disorders have been one among the most challenging and most common endocrine disorders that we confront worldwide. Major thyroid disorders, including Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism, goitre/iodine deficiency, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and thyroid cancer. Among these, hypothyroidism is arguably the most challenging as its multifarious clinical presentation often goes unnoticed. Hypothyroidism can be attributed to the deficiency of thyroid hormones, triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) in the body. Mild or subclinical hypothyroidism refers to the condition where peripheral thyroid hormone levels are within normal range, but serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels are mildly elevated. Hypothyroidism refers to the pathological state of thyroid hormone insufficiency. Most common symptoms of hypothyroidism include tiredness, constipation, weight gain, aches, dry hair, and skin and cold sensitivity along with being in a hypometabolic state. Due to the large variation in clinical manifestation and lack of warning signs, the characterization of hypothyroidism is, for the most part, biochemical.1 Overt or clinical primary hypothyroidism is said to be having the thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) concentrations higher and free thyroid hormone (T3/T4) concentrations less than the reference range. Mild or subclinical hypothyroidism is characterized by TSH concentrations exceeding the reference range whereas the free thyroxine concentrations remain within the normal range2. This is commonly regarded as a sign of early thyroid failure. According to others, hypothyroidism can be subdivided into primary, secondary, or tertiary, and central and peripheral hypothyroidism. The primary hypothyroidism is the result of the lack of active thyroid hormones in the system. Secondary hypothyroidism results from the deficiency of TSH, whereas tertiary type is brought about by the thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) deficiency that actually results in reduced TSH release. The central and peripheral hypothyroidism, having characteristic reasons, is accounted for less than 1% of all cases throughout the world.

Abstract Background Diarrhea remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among children under five years of age, particularly in low- and middle-income regions. Identifying the risk factors associated with diarrheal diseases is essential for developing targeted interventions. This study aimed to assess and correlate the risk factors contributing to diarrhea among under-five children in a selected area of Vijayapur district. Objectives: The main objective of this study is to find age wise prevalence and risk factors of diarrhea among the children's under the age of 5 years. Materials and method: Cross sectional study was conducted in the selected ward of Vijayapur district on 130 children's In order to find the prevalence of diarrhea, practices, nutrition, and immunization Results: Overall prevalence of diarrhea among the children's under the age of 5 year was found to be 23.1%. Male children's were more prone to diarrhea. 30.0% male's Childs and 17.1% female child were affected with diarrhea. The diarrhea prevalence was more (37.5%) in the age group 1-2 years followed by 35.7% in the 2-3 years of age group. As the age increases prevalence of diarrhea decreases. Diarrhea was seen in 20.0% exclusive breast feeding children's and 33.3% in children's who were breast feeding less than or equal to 6 months. 26.2% underweight children's had diarrhea and 21.5% normal children's had diarrhea Conclusion: It was concluded that prevalence of diarrhea among the children's under the age of 5 years was high. It was also understood that the , diarrhea among the children's under the age of 5 years can be controlled by modifying feeding practice , source of drinking water and also providing nutrition food to children's
