The role of a housewife, or homemaker, is often overlooked in societal discourse, yet it encompasses a myriad of responsibilities that profoundly influence psychological well-being. This article explores the psychology of housewives, shedding light on the challenges they face and the implications for their mental health. Drawing on research and psychological theories, this paper delves into identity struggles, stress and burnout, emotional labour, social isolation and lack of peer support and financial dependence as key factors contributing to depression and distress among housewives. By understanding these complexities and implementing strategies to support their well-being, housewives can be empowered to navigate their roles with resilience and fulfilment.

The integration of learning English language and English literature prompts inquiries into the benefits and significance of this dual approach. Why should students studying English language also engage with English literature concurrently? At the heart of this discussion lies a fundamental question: what is the essence of learning these subjects? How do they interconnect, and what knowledge, rationale, and methodologies should guide our understanding? This abstract sets the stage for an exploration into the intertwined nature of English language and literature education. It seeks to unravel the core motivations behind integrating these disciplines, probing into the relationships they embody. By delving into the what, why, and how of this educational approach, it aims to shed light on the synergies between language acquisition and literary analysis, ultimately advocating for a comprehensive and enriched learning experience for students.

Abstract: Tea as a beverage has a long, colonial imprinted history in India, especially in Assam. The current Assam tea system has not changed significantly from that introduced by the British. Hierarchies were created and still exist today, except that the British now function exclusively as buyers and consumers. The brokers and the auction system follow the British implementation and hierarchies created then, do still exist today. In the study, we will focus on the role of the broker and the auction system and their influence on the tea pricing system, what factors influence the price determination process and what role do brokers and auctions play.

Electricity has become the most sought after amenity for all of us. Gone are the days when electricity would be only limited to cities. It is now reaching to every distant parts of the world. So we have now a complex network of power system. This power is being carried by the transmission lines. These lines travel very long distances so while carrying power, fault occurring is natural. These faults damages many vital electrical equipment like transformer, generator, and transmission lines. For the uninterrupted power supply need to prevent these faults as much as possible. So we need to detect faults within the shortest possible time. This project is about designing the Numerical relay where the fault is detected when the input value exceeds the reference value set in the relay which then gives the trip signal to the circuit breaker

This study addresses the prevalence and risk factors of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among tea garden workers in the West Tripura district, India. NCDs, including cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes, account for 71% of global deaths, with a significant burden in low and middle-income countries like India, where they are responsible for 63% of fatalities. The World Health Organization (WHO) developed the STEP approach to monitor NCD risk factors, which was employed in this study to understand the health challenges faced by tea garden workers. The research was conducted from March 2019 to February 2020 among 225 tea garden workers aged 21-60 years, using a multistage stratified random sampling method. Data collection included demographic details, lifestyle habits, and clinical measurements, following the WHO STEP protocol. Key findings revealed that 81.33% of participants used tobacco, and 69.33% consumed alcohol, with a significant overlap between these habits. Physical activity levels were generally high, with 83.56% engaging in vigorous activities. However, 60% consumed fewer than five servings of fruits and vegetables daily. The study found that 20% of participants had hypertension, with a higher prevalence in men (22.22%) compared to women (17.95%). Among those with hypertension, 86.24% were newly diagnosed during the study. Chronic energy deficiency (CED) was prevalent, with 39.86% of males and 50.52% of females affected, indicating critical nutritional problems. Despite high physical activity levels, 45.99% of the population was undernourished, with a significant portion in a subnormal state of health. The findings underscore the vulnerability of tea garden workers to NCDs due to socio-economic and occupational factors. High tobacco and alcohol use, combined with poor dietary habits, contribute to the NCD burden. Recommendations include improving healthcare access, implementing health education programs, introducing occupational health interventions, and advocating for policy reforms to improve living and working conditions. In conclusion, the high prevalence of NCDs among tea garden workers in West Tripura highlights the need for targeted health interventions and policy changes to mitigate the health risks and improve the well-being of this marginalized population. Addressing socioeconomic determinants and promoting healthy lifestyles are crucial steps towards reducing the NCD burden.

This study aims to develop a polyherbal hair oil to lessen hair problems using traditional remedies/herbs used since ancient times by our ancestors. Today, herbal hair oil formulations are used due to their minimal side effects and enhanced dermatologival activities. The hebal hair oils available in market contains various traditional remedies like Amla, Aloevera, Coconut oil, Curry leaves, Fenugreek, Garlic, Fish Scales, Neem, Hibiscus, Soapnut, Corn powder, Almond, Henna, Castoroil, Jatamansi, Shatavari, Shankpushpi, Kapur, Jasmineoil, Tiloil, Kalajeera, Durbaghas, Bramhi, gorakhmundi, kalakuda, bhringraj, Banayan, Eclipta, Vetiver, onion, Ashwagandha, Triphala, Nirgudi, Licorice, Lavender, Pudina, Shikhakai, Sesameoil, Cowmilk, Yashtimadhu, etc. The developed formulation comprise of herbs such as Amla(Embilica officinalis), Aloe vera(Aloe barbadensis), Curry leaves(Murraya koenigii), Garlic(Allium sativum), Onion(Allium copa) Fenugreek(Trigonella foenum graecum), Jasmin(Jasminium), Coconut oil (cocus nucifera), which are well known for their cosmetic properties. The developed formulation was further investigated for different physicochemical parameters such as organoleptic properties, pH, viscosity ,specific gravity, Acid value , value of saponification and iodine value . Very good results were expected.
