 Abstract

Synthetic seeds are commonly called as encapsulated somatic embryos. For large scale clonal propagation these are widely used and mainly produced from the somatic cells. For the preparation of synthetic seeds different plant parts like shoot tips, axillary buds are used in addition to somatic embryo. Synthetic seeds are beneficial in cutting down the cost of production of micro-propagated plants. An advanced method for production of synthetic seeds is thought to be a valuable replacement tool for the generation of many commercial crops and beneficial technique for the extensive propagation of finite plant genotypes. In several fruit crops characters like tiny seed size, presence of reduced endosperm, nature of seeds lower germination rate, heterozygosity and seedlessness of some varieties are the limiting factors for the success through propagation of seeds. Presence of recalcitrant seeds in several fruit crop species limits the storage of the seeds to few weeks or months Throughout the world several methods are studied for the propagation of the fruit plants for various genetic engineering, breeding, and pharmaceutical purposes. Due to this the artificial seeds would be of more useful for the exchange of elite and axenic plant materials between various laboratories and many extension centres due to comfort in handling and small bead size. Because of these advantages use of encapsulation technology has become more famous in most of the fruit crops. In this review the scope, types and procedure of artificial seed production and the use of synthetic seed production in various fruit crops.

This article studies the real design of the grippers and different types of soft robotics and their beneficial uses for our life.  Abstract

This paper presents a system that works on a set of data containing house prices of places in Mumbai along with the major parameters affecting the price such as area, location, swimming pool, etc. obtained from open web source Kaggle Inc. and predict the resale price under the parameters. The model implemented incorporates ensemble learning i.e. a combination of machine learning algorithms instead of relying on a single algorithm for improved predictions. The ensemble model incorporated in our system (weighted average of Decision Tree, Linear Regression, and K-Nearest Neighbor) brings an added advantage over using solo algorithms in the process of obtaining minimum error in prediction. The trained model demonstrated a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 16.09%.

 Abstract

In this chapter a deterministic inventory model has been developed for deteriorating items having a ramp type demand with the effects of inflation with two-storage facilities using Genetic Algorithm. The owned godown (OG) has a fixed capacity of W units; the rented godown (RG) has unlimited capacity using Genetic Algorithm. Here, we assumed that the inventory holding cost in RG is higher than those in OWG. Shortages in inventory are allowed and partially backlogged and it is assumed that the inventory deteriorates over time at a variable deterioration rate using Genetic Algorithm. The effect of inflation has also been considered for various costs associated with the inventory system. Numerical example is also used to study the behaviour of the model using Genetic Algorithm.
