 Abstract

With the exponentially growing COVID-19 (corona virus disease 2019) pandemic, clinicians continue to seek accurate and rapid diagnosis methods in addition to virus and antibody testing modalities. Because radiographs such as X-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans are cost-effective and widely available at public health facilities, hospital emergency rooms (ERs), and even at rural clinics, they could be used for rapid detection of possible COVID-19-induced lung infections. Therefore, toward automating the COVID-19 detection, we propose a viable and efficient deep learning-based chest radiograph framework to analyze COVID-19 cases with accuracy. A unique dataset is prepared from available sources containing the chest view of CT scan/X-ray data for COVID-19 cases. Our proposed framework leverages a data augmentation of radiograph images algorithm for the COVID-19 data, by adaptively employing the MATLAB and NeuroSolution on COVID-19 infected chest images to generate a train a robust model. The training data consisting of actual and synthetic chest images are fed into our customized neural network model, which achieves COVID-19 detection with good accuracy. Furthermore, through this it is possible to efficiently automate COVID-19 detection from radiograph images to provide a fast and reliable evidence of COVID-19 infection in the lung that can complement existing COVID-19 diagnostics modalities.

 Abstract

One of the main concerns of the world economy is unstable power supply. On the load side, many present-day services and equipment cannot tolerate even momentary interruptions of utility supply. With the emergence of renewables, there are multiple sources where the power is generated but they cannot be used efficiently due to their intermittent nature in addition to the dangers of backfeeding. The problem of backfeed and the dangers caused by backfeed current can be overcome by isolating each source by means of relays. Whenever the system senses a disturbance, these isolators, under the command of a microcontroller, automatically isolate the power supply. These isolators can be realized by relays which in addition to isolating the power supply, can also be used to transfer the source of power to load from one supply to another. To switch from one power supply to another, rapid switching between different power sources is required. In addition to enabling backfeed protection, rapid switching also maintains power supply to the load without any interruption. Thus all transfers are open transitions and the sources are never connected to each other.

 Abstract

The COVID?19 epidemic has caused an outsized number of human losses and havoc within the economic, societal, social, and health systems around the world. Controlling such epidemic requires understanding its behaviour and characteristics, which may be identified by collecting and analyzing the related big data. However, because of the vast amount of data available on COVID?19 from various sources, there is a requirement to review the roles of massive data analysis in controlling the spread of COVID?19, presenting the most challenges and directions of COVID?19 data analysis. Therefore, during this paper, we conduct a literature review to highlight the contributions of several studies within the domain of COVID?19?based big data analysis. The study presents as taxonomy of several applications accustomed manage and control the pandemic. Moreover, this study discusses several challenges encountered during analyzing COVID?19 data. The findings of this paper suggest valuable future directions to be considered for further research and applications.

 Abstract

Covid crisis has shut the entire globe. India is the worst impacted by this biological disaster. The virus has reached all the states of India. Despite all possible virus preventing efforts, the second wave has found its way to the remotest villages of the country. Uttarakhand is a little mountainous state in North India. It is experiencing the worst phase of the second wave of this biological calamity. Despite its difficult terrain, the virus reached the region with ease and is causing multiple losses of life and livelihood. This research paper analyses the reasons behind this sporadic jump of the lethal Corona to the impossible terrains. It also showcases both the efforts and the lapse in the health infrastructure and the political will, amidst the uproar of life to stumble the corona crisis.

 Abstract

Interaction of plants with environmental factors and microbial world is a dynamic process. As part of this ever-changing process new disease emerges or minor disease may become major with time. This paper majorly reports a very brief account of well-studied old diseases of sorghum and emphasizes on emerging diseases with particular reference to India. Description of sorghum diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, and their transmission through seed implies quarantine significance. The fungus pathogen Macrophomina phaseolina was successfully isolated from the basal portion of the charcoal rot of infected Sorghum stem collected from the fields of National Research Centre for Sorghum (NRCS) Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. In this present study small bits of sclerotia bearing strands were surface sterilized by immersing in 0.1 percent mercury chloride for two minutes. The surface sterilized strands washed in three changes of sterile distilled water. They were planted on PDA under aseptic conditions and incubated at 250C in SEW, BOD incubator. After 4days of incubation the fungus was transferred on a fresh PDA plate and was purified through single sclerotia isolation purified culture of M. phaseolina was maintained on PDA slants at room temperature (26-280C).

 Abstract

The police force is one of the most essential for this world community. Police officers have been sacrificing their lives for the protection of man since ancient times. Wherever a mistake is made, it will be stopped, and the offender will be punished, and justice will be done to the victim. As time went on, the respect of the people towards the police department increased. However, in today's society, the police department is feared and angered by a few people. This is because people embrace and hate the guards for the mistakes made by a few guards, including the guards who behave well and honestly. The reason for conducting this research is to find out what people think about policing in today's epidemic environment and a consistent explanation for it. This study was conducted among 300 individuals comprising both the genders of Udangudi-Thoothukudi district, Tamilnadu. The questionnaire method was used to collect the response from the individuals, and there were 13 questions, including general information, which the investigator designed. A 'Simple Random Sampling Technique was used to collect the samples, and the research design was employed in this study was a quantitative approach to descriptive design. In examining the information obtained, the people have a reasonable opinion of the police department in this context; they are well aware of the difficulties faced by the police officers and have some expectations among the people.
