 Abstract

All-round Development of an economy depends not simply on its infrastructure and economic activities. Rather, how far the fruits of development are distributed on an equitable basis among the different sections of the society is the predominant indicator of its overall development. In a country like India with several socio economic and religious diversities the paradigm of development requires inclusion of the lowest sections of population as well who constitute a decisive portion of population. The concept of development is meaningless without inclusion of these groups. The present paper discusses the conditions, challenges and solutions for inclusive development of the deprived communities on the wake of development with particular reference to Dakshina Kannada District.

 Abstract

Apart from being a Shangri-la, Kashmir has another horrible side of being a conflict zone. This side of Kashmir presents the armed struggle, military operations and cross border terrorism which also attracted writers, journalists and film makers particularly from the rest of India to set their stories on issues like these. Though many of these stories and movies presented Kashmir as a beautiful landscape, but in most cases it has been presented as a place full of horrors and bloodshed. Presenting these issues in a derogatory way has maligned the Kashmiri image in the eyes of people living outside Kashmir. In order to counter these narratives, many writers from valley are stepping forward to narrate the actual reality of Kashmir which has led to a contradiction in the view points. While the writers from rest of India present Kashmir from their own perspective, Kashmiri writers are also trying to speak against any constructed prejudices from a Kashmiri perspective. It is these differences and contradictions which this paper attempts to analyze. This paper attempts to show how these differences led to either representation or misrepresentation of a certain community. This paper also attempts to analyze how it is to be a victim rather than a spectator without the first-hand knowledge of the events. For the purpose this paper attempts to make a comparative study of the two novels titled No Guns at My Son's Funeral by Paro Anand and The Collaborator by Mirza Waheed. Besides that, this paper has also attempted to discuss the role played by National media, and Hindi cinema so far in covering the issue.

 Abstract

Synthesis of Schiff base metal complex of Co(II). The complex was analyzed by different physico-chemical techniques like Elemental analysis, FTIR, UV-VIS, EPR, NMR and Magnetic Studies. The data show complex has octahedral geometry. Antimicrobial activity and anticancerous studies of Co (II) chelate gave good result in the presence of metal ion in the ligand system

 Abstract

Data mining process is discovering knowledge and patterns from extensive collection of data. Hospitals generate a boundless data daily. But, most of Data not used effectively. Use of organized tools for extracting knowledge from clinical databases is not used widely. As per World Health Organization 120 lakh people deaths per year because of heart diseases. Heart disease is a condition, where the heart is incompetent to drive necessary amount of blood to various parts in the body. Precise and timely diagnosis of heart disease is significant for heart failure avoidance and treatment. Traditional Diagnosis of heart disease through clinical findings is not reliable. Machine learning application is reliable and efficient to find healthy people and people with heart disease. The theme of the paper is to use machine learning algorithms to predict heart disease by summarizing the present researches. In this paper the Genetic algorithm and Naive Bayes algorithm is used in the health care dataset to classify the patients if possessing heart diseases or not based on the dataset attributes. .

 Abstract

The objectives of this study was to apply Principal component analysis and cluster classification techniques to identify the interrelation among a set of the heavy metals concentration Fe, Cd, Pb, As and Hg as potential contaminants of river Mandakani in Chitrakoot and identify the underlying structure of those variables. Water samples were collected from six different sites of river Mandakani. For the determination of total heavy metals in the samples, procedures is described in APHA (2012) was followed. PCA and CA in combination with metal concentration are proved to be effective tools for source identification and characterization. Both natural and anthropogenic sources were found to be contributing to the pollution load of the river with the anthropogenic activities dominating the influence.The pollution in aquatic ecosystem by heavy metals has assumed serious problem due to their toxicity and accumulative behavior.

 Abstract

A majority of cross-country and inter-state studies looked at academic achievement, spending, and results. Numerous studies aim to overcome these challenges, but the outcomes were inconsistent due to differences in the type and quantity of factors studied, the methodologies used in each research, and the reference period. This analytical review aims to explore trends in educational access and to delineate different groups which are vulnerable to exclusion from educational opportunities at the elementary stage. This review has drawn references from a series of analytical papers developed on different themes, including regional disparity in education, social equity and gender equity in education, the problem of drop out, education of the children of migrants, inequity in educational opportunities, health and nutrition, and governance of education, among others.
