 Abstract

Information technology is a mandatory resource for day to day life of human beings. Digital image processing enters all the doors in processing an image and provides distinct resultant images. Even through its rapid growth various methods were developed to overcome various issues. But still it is floating issues in retrieval and recognition. In order to overcome such issues in this paper we presented a novel Multi scale method with the hybridization of Orientation and texture features using autocorrelation function. In this method the horizontal directionality and vertical directionality features are estimated and the orientation features. Extraction of all the features with the ACF in the generation of multi scale feature set. Finally, Retrieval and matching process is accomplished. Euclidean distance is considered for similarity measures and the performance is evaluated in terms of Precision and Recall. Compared to other existing models the proposed method gives better performance.

 Abstract

In this paper, design and analyses of Sandwich structures are investigated for industrial Crane platform. Primary goal is to develop an equivalent cross section of structure material model that is a good substitute for the actual V Section core. By replacing the actual V Section structure with the other cross section model, during the finite element analyses, substantial advantages can be obtained with regard to ease of modeling and model modification, solution time and hardware resources. To figure out the best equivalent model among the approximate analytical models that can be found in the literature, a comparison is made. Both models are analyzed under the same loading and the boundary conditions. In finite element analyses, ANSYS finite element program is used. The results are compared to find out the best performing equivalent model. After three major analyses loops, decision on the equivalent model is made.

 Abstract

Technology has been playing the most essential and effective role in both socio-cultural and linguistic change in the era of globalization. Technologies such as software, computers, PowerPoint presentations, online forums and Language Laboratories are the effective tools in the field of teaching and learning process. In fact, Computer Assisted Language Labs play a significant role as a good teaching-learning resource which provides a rich environment particularly in English language teaching and learning. In this context, the present research article aims to help the engineering students develop communication skills effectively in order to satisfy the requirements of the industry. This experimental study emphasizes that communication skills can be equipped in an effective way by teaching the contents through language laboratory rather than conventional mode of teaching. The investigator has conducted the experiment on the topics such as Group Discussion Skills and Interview Skills. They are taught through conventional mode of teaching and language laboratory. The researcher has tested the performance of students by conducting GD and Interview in conventional class and language laboratory class. The results of both the classes are interpreted in the full paper.

 Abstract

Staff training and development is a key to achieving organizational success and corporate development. This study is aimed at finding out the Impact of Training and Development on workers’ productivity via the TETFund Academic Staff Training and Development 2010 Sponsorship. Results revealed that training and development programmes improve employees’ skills and performance at work place, enhance their technical knowhow/wherewithal to with stand the challenges of contemporary times, thus, an effective tool for sustaining and enhancing workers’ productivity in the academic.In the field of human resource management, training and development is the field which is concerned with organizational activity aimed at bettering the performance of individuals and groups in organizational settings. It has been known by several names, including employee development, human resource development, and learning and development. Mostly in field of operations department there is very highly need of training for the employees in increasing the production process and reducing production cost where mostly organizations development depends on production department. So here in this study that has to be taken is concentrating on providing training and developing programmes in the field of operations where these type of programmes develops the individuals as well as organization, everything will be discussed in this ongoing study with a sample selection from the organization and as well as from the society. Finally we can come to know after the study that how important in implementing the new trends in training and development in the department of operations.

 Abstract

Inventory management is the activity of not only supervising and managing the ordering, usage and storage of items that an organization uses in the manufacture of the objects it sells but also overseeing and managing number of finished goods that are to be sold. The inventory in any business firm or organization is one of its dominant assets and represents an expenditure that is linked to the sale of the items. Successful inventory management requires creating a purchasing scheme to make sure that items are available whenever they are required and it is made sure that neither too much nor too little of them is bought which will lead to losses. There are various heuristic methods to obtain effective and efficient inventory schemes, out of which lot sizing is one of the commonly applied methods and the remaining are limited to the small instances in certain cases. Lot Sizing Problem (LSP) in inventory management systems refers to those problems that various firms face every day in properly organizing the overall production plans. Lot sizing plays a significant role in reducing the cost that incurs because of the improper inventory management. In the present work, a brief review on the efforts of various different scholars who have worked on lot sizing problems under different conditions and their achievements are provided.
