This research paper explores the theme of Illusion and identity in the protagonist Edna Pontellier in Kate Chopin's The Awakening (1899), a work of American literature. The novel portrays the protagonist and her trapped marriage life in which she lost herself and lived her life half-awake bound by social norms. The study focuses on her attempts to challenge the dominant patriarchal system due to her culture's inability or unwillingness to give up its antiquated idealistic beliefs. Edna gets the realization that her life is not owned by her but created by societal demands and expectations. She understands that this delusion has hindered her from leading a life that is authentic to her and must awaken and confront the truth. She gives up her sophisticated life in exchange for freedom in order to achieve ultimate independence. Edna finally rejects the illusion of conformity and embraces her own desires and individuality highlighting her awakening and the pursuit of personal fulfilment.

Examination stress among college students (10+2) has been a topic of interest for many years. Students experience high level of stress for many reasons such as lack of interest, lack of preparation, lack of information and pressure from their elders, seniors and teachers. When stress is perceived negatively or becomes excessive, it leads to anxiety before and during examination and ultimately affects their academic achievements. The present study was conducted to know the changes in dietary habits during examination stress among intermediate students. Further comparison was done to find out the level of stress felt by intermediate and seen changes in their eating habits during examination programme. The sample consisted of 72 students drawn using random sampling method from same schools girls and boys. A self-made questionnaire was developed to access examination stress and change in their dietary habits among college students (10+2). The result shows correlation between examination stress and anxiety of students. On comparing the stress and change in dietary habits among girls and boys it was found that students feel average high stress. There was no significant difference found in the stress and anxiety level of boys and girls.

The stock market, as we know, is a very important trading platform that affects everyone at an individual and national level. The basic principle is quite simple: companies will list their shares in the company as small commodities called stocks. They do so in order to raise money for the firm. A company lists its stock at a price called the IPO, or initial public offering. This is the offer price at which the company sells the stock and raises money. The impact of many factors on stock prices makes stock prediction a difficult and highly complicated task. In this project, we propose a KNN algorithm for stock price prediction in order to overcome such difficulties. It is easy to predict stock market trends and prices by using the proposed method. KNN is used to predict future stock market indices by computing the k-weighted nearest neighbor from the historical dataset.

Sleep-deprived driving is the operation of a vehicle while being cognitively impaired by a lack of sleep. Drowsiness is the leading cause of motor vehicle accidents and can cause serious injuries and can be fatal too. So we are developing a system to detect sleep as well as abnormal behavior linked to driving. This system will use a webcam to capture a video from which frames would be selected and it would undergo image segmentation to detect aspects of drowsiness like closing of the eyes as well as yawning. Also abnormal head movements would also be detected. We are developing this using python. Facial landmarks on the detected faces are pointed and subsequently the eye aspect ratio, mouth opening ratio are computed and depending on their values, drowsiness is detected. We will be implementing this setup via a simple webpage which will be accessible to both the user and the admin via their respective logins.

Non-Performing Assets had been a serious concern for Indian commercial banks and public sector banks in particular. After several ups and downs, Punjab National Bank is still struggling to retain its supremacy as one of the oldest banks in India. MD and CEO of the bank recently announced that, it has to face a loss of Rs1700 crores due to increase in interest rates. Disproportionate assets was another concern for PNB. However, as per its MD and CEO, PNB is recovering as per the targets set. This research paper is aimed to analyze its NPAs from 2001 to 2020 using appropriate tools like regression analysis. It has taken into account 8 key financial metrics to compare it with Net NPAs. Objective of the paper is to identify the key metrics where there is high impact on its Net NPAs. It would help us to understand the areas to be focused to revive the performance of one of popular public banks in India.
