Anthropometric refers to the measurements and proportions of the human body. It is a scientific field focused on collecting and analyzing data about human physical dimensions, such as height, weight, limb lengths, body circumferences, and skinfold thickness. Anthropometrics plays a crucial role in physical education by helping to assess and improve physical fitness, performance, and overall health. The objective of this study was to find out the status of height and weight of 11 to 14 years boys hostellers. The target population of this study was all boys of ashram schools located in Amravati district (Maharashtra). For the present study 100 boys were select with random sampling method from Shree Ramakrushna Krida Vidyalaya, Amravati. The findings indicate a significant increase in height and weight of boys with age, with the most rapid height growth observed between 13 and 14 years and the most rapid weight growth observed between 13 and 14 years. These findings can be beneficial for health professionals, educators, and sports trainers in monitoring and supporting the physical development of children in this age group.

The purpose of the study was to find out the effects of recovery innervations on lactate removal of shuttlers after matches. Total 30 subjects were purposively selected from Muzaffarpur district of State level and selected subjects were divided into 3 groups of, of 10 subjects in each group. The study was delimited to male players only age ranged 15 to 17 years. The selected variable for the study was Lactic Acid. The reading of Lactic acid was measured and recorded accordingly after match and Recovery method. The subjects performed different recovery method on different days. The data for lactic acid was collected pre match, After match and post recovery methods. Capillary blood samples were taken for lactic acid. Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) were calculated for each group's lactate levels at each time point. 2-way mixed analysis of variance (ANOVA) was conducted to assess the differences in lactate removal between the three recovery modalities at 0.05 level of significance. The descriptive statistics showed that peak lactate value of all the three groups were foam rolling (13.665+0.914), active recovery (13.63+2.003), passive recovery (12.265+2.406) also the post lactate value after recovery modalities were found to be foam rolling (5.04+0.840), active recovery (7.135+1.450), passive recovery (11.105+4.161). The foam rolling group showed the most pronounced decrease in lactate levels across all time points, followed by active recovery. Passive recovery has the smallest effect, though it still led to significant reduction in lactic acid compared to baseline.

Intermittent fasting (IF) has gained popularity as a dietary strategy for improving health, body composition, and athletic performance. This paper explores the relationship between intermittent fasting and athletic performance, examining its effects on endurance, strength, muscle recovery, and metabolic adaptations. The review includes studies on time-restricted feeding (TRF), alternate-day fasting (ADF), and periodic fasting, assessing their impact on various athletic disciplines. Findings suggest that IF can enhance fat oxidation and metabolic flexibility but may also impact strength and muscle hypertrophy if not properly managed. This paper highlights key mechanisms, benefits, and challenges of IF in athletic settings.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physical fitness profiles of junior national medalist water-polo team players to better understand the key physical attributes influencing their performance. Water polo is a dynamic, high-intensity sport requiring strength, endurance, agility, and tactical awareness. The performance of players depends heavily on their physical attributes, which play crucial roles in their endurance, speed, power, and recovery. The playing 7 girls of Maharashtra Junior National medalist team were purposively selected as the subject for the study. Their age ranged from 14 to 18 years. The variables selected for the study were Physical fitness variables: back strength, leg strength, leg explosive strength, hand grip strength, flexibility. The data was collected using specified equipment and note down further. Result of the study describe about the min, max, mean, standard deviation, kurtosis, skewness and range of the variables collected. The numerical values analyzed from the statistics shows the nature of the data. The average value of height (162.87 + 5.111), weight (53.12 + 7.989), BMI (20.01 + 2.864), Left forearm strength (27.36 + 2.875), right forearm strength (28.43 + 4.715), flexibility (10.50 + 7.211), back strength (82.78 + 16.709), leg explosive strength (1.62 + 0.177), leg strength (69.56 + 8.575). In conclusion physical fitness profile of junior national water polo players plays a crucial role in their performance and success in the sport. The unique combination of strength, endurance, and tactical skills required for water polo necessitates a specific set of physical attributes and fitness levels. The paper can be used as a reference for low level players to get the idea of peak performance factors which plays crucial role in performance of the water polo game as it was the data from the medalist team of junior national.

The purpose of this study was to measure and compare physiological variables such as vital capacity (VC), heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), body fat percentage (BF), lean body mass (LBM), and body density (BD) among jumpers, sprinters, and long-distance runners. Following informed permission, a total of 30 participants (10 from each group) were recruited. Data were gathered using proper equipment. Mean, standard error, and ANVOA were used to analyze the data. The study found no significant change in VC, HR, SBP, or DBP across the groups (p<0.05). In contrast, there were significant differences in BF (p>0.05), LBM (p>0.05), and BD (p>0.05) between power athletes and long-distance runners. In conclusion, the body fat percentage of all analyzed groups is less than fifteen percent. Sprinters and jumpers have more body fat and lean mass compared to long-distance runners. Runners were shown to have a greater body density than jumpers or sprinters.

The objective of the investigation was to compare the aerobic capacity of among different male team game players such as volleyball, basketball, handball and korfball players. For this study researcher randomly selected sixty (N=60) team games male players (volleyball=15, handball=15, basketball=15 and korfball=15) were studying in colleges affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba, Amravati University those who have represented inter-university tournaments were randomly selected as subjects for this study. The age of the subjects were ranged from 18-25. The aerobic capacity was measured by applying Modified Queens College step test. The data on aerobic capacity obtained from the subjects was statistically analyzed by using one-way analysis of variance. Post-Hoc test was applied f-ratio was found significant. For the hypothesis, level of significance was set at .05 level. It was concluded that when aerobic capacity was assessed among players of team games like volleyball, handball, basketball and korfball, it was found that there were significant differences across the games. Basketball players had higher aerobic capacity than players of other team games like handball, volleyball and korfball. This could be because basketball is a very dynamic game in which arms and legs are constantly used, which may increase their aerobic capacity.
