 Abstract

. The research discusses the programming and setup of a frequency-selective Graphical User Interface (GUI) for a seismograph. GUI was developed using Visual Basic Net with C language and Dundas Software which serves as the interface between the hardware system and the laptop to display real-time signals sent by the geophones. The studies conform to the feature of standard simulation and assist the users to perform a system-level simulation and reception of data from the geophones. It allows the users to choose frequencies between the available frequencies, design a layout, and view the results. Users can choose and read the output display, making the measurements easy to record. The GUI is explained with respect to the graphical layout and the interactive features of the components. The GUI picks from the low Band frequency cutoff of 1.989 x 10-5Hz, 1.061 x 10-3Hz for High Pass and Band-Pass cut-off.

 Abstract

Abstract As metal oxide, Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3) is a good semiconductor photocatalyst for environmental remediation due to its eccentric properties such as a multiferroic material, and ferroelectric properties. BiFeO3 has a visible-light band-gap, which makes it convenient for photocatalytic use. The sol-gel method is an extensively used synthesis method for BiFeO3 because it controls shape, size and morphology of the materials. Sol-Gel method provides many advantages, including the ability to easily incorporate dopants and the potential for large-scale production. To improve the photocatalytic properties of BiFeO3, various techniques such as doping and surface morphology control have been used to enhance its photocatalytic activity. Doping of metal in BFO improves its photocatalytic performance by reducing the band gap, which enhances visible light absorption, and reducing electron-hole pair recombination sites, which increases the number of participating electrons and holes in photocatalytic reactions. X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies are used to identify the crystal structure of the sample and to determine its purity. The shifting of X-ray diffraction peaks indicates that the sample has undergone structural changes during synthesis and calcination. The UV-visible spectra show a gradual decrease in the band gap, which is attributed to the doping of metals in BiFeO3. The decrease in the band gap enhances the visible light absorption of BiFeO3, making it more efficient in photocatalytic reactions.

 Abstract

In the context of smart cities, dealing with air pollution is a significant environmental challenge. Real-time monitoring of pollution data enables local authorities to analyze the current the situation of the city and make decisions accordingly. However, a comparison of various strategies is needed to better understand how long they take to process different datasets. Existing research has used a variety of machine learning algorithms for pollution prediction. There are various regression techniques for this purpose and a comparative study to determine the best model for accurately predicting air quality with reference to data size and processing time. In this project, we have selected the algorithms with fewer errors and higher accuracy, and the study combines those algorithms and creates a sample algorithm using the combination of these algorithms which involves the Random Forest Algorithm, Support Vector Machine Algorithm, Linear Regression, Decision Tree, etc. Using this, prediction of the level of pollution will be efficiently done
