Hypertension is a major complication often associated with diabetes mellitus, significantly increasing the risk of cardiomyopathy, stroke, hyperlipidemia, ischemic cerebrovascular disease, and peripheral vascular disease. These complications contribute substantially to morbidity and mortality, especially among middle-aged and older individuals. Metoprolol tartrate, a beta-blocker, is widely used for the management of hypertension and prevention of cardiac complications in diabetic patients. The objective of this research was to develop a sustained-release (SR) formulation of metoprolol tartrate for once-daily administration to improve therapeutic efficacy and patient compliance. Sustained-release tablet formulations (F1 to F7) were prepared using release-retarding agents such as HPMC K100 and Eudragit RSPO. The granules for the SR tablets were evaluated for their flow properties to ensure uniformity and reproducibility during the manufacturing process. The formulated SR tablets were subjected to various evaluations, including weight variation, hardness, thickness, swelling index, and in vitro drug release studies. The optimized formulation (F7) demonstrated a controlled and sustained drug release for 12 hours, ensuring a consistent therapeutic effect. The results indicate that the developed sustained-release formulation of metoprolol tartrate offers an effective once-daily treatment option for hypertension. This novel formulation has the potential to enhance patient compliance, improve treatment outcomes, and significantly contribute to the management of hypertension and associated cardiovascular risks.

Herbal or natural excipients offer significant benefits over their synthetic alternatives as they are non-toxic, more affordable, and readily available. With growing awareness about these natural excipients, which are primarily plant-based polymers, pharmaceutical industries are increasingly adopting them in formulation development. Natural gums and mucilages derived from plants, such as carrageenan, thaumatin, lard, storax, agar, gum acacia, and tragacanth, fulfill various pharmaceutical excipient requirements. The traditional idea of excipients as just inactive and inexpensive substances has changed a lot. Now, they are considered an important part of a drug formulation. Excipients are any ingredients added to a dosage form, other than the active drug. This article provides an overview of herbal excipients used in both conventional dosage forms and modern drug delivery systems. These natural ingredients are preferred for formulation development due to their stability and fewer regulatory concerns compared to synthetic options. Additionally, they can be easily modified to meet specific formulation needs, making them a cost-effective and efficient medium for delivering active pharmaceutical ingredients. This study highlights the potential of natural excipients as diluents, binders, disintegrants, and lubricants in different formulations, as they are biocompatible and provide added nutritional value to the dosage form.

In today's world, it is well documented that the adolescence are considered to be most vulnerable group for the various health hazards. They are more attracted towards the fast food that might lead them to wide range of diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease etc. But antioxidants are a diverse group of chemicals that can be naturally found in vegetables, fruits and plants in general and even synthesized in our body. The diet containing these food items provides healthy body, increased memory, higher immune status and protect from many non- communicable diseases. Here the study focused to assess the knowledge level of antioxidants among adolescence in selected schools of Bangalore.

India's economy has its foundation in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) particularly in the textile sector, which also creates employment and exports. In Lucknow, Ada Designer Chikan Studio is an MSME that deals with Chikankari embroidery, a traditional craft that has been given a modern twist through its designs. This is because a large number of businesses are family owned and hence financial information may not be readily available. The main purpose of this research study is to assess the profitability of a case MSME, Ada Designer Chikan Studio in comparison to the MSME textile sector and a subset of MSMEs. Profitability is a function of return on equity (ROE), return on assets (ROA), net profit margin (NPM), and gross profit margin (GPM) when it comes to assessing the financial performance of a company. It also highlights the position of the company in the small and medium-sized textile industry. The findings of the study conducted with the help of fictional data show that Ada Designer Chikan Studio is a very profitable firm and outperforms its peers in many respects. The study admits that the use of simulated financial data is a limitation and expects that further investigation with real data will produce more accurate results.

Disaster, as defined by the United Nations, is a serious disruption of the functioning of a community of a society, which involves widespread human, material, economic or environmental impacts that exceed the ability of the affected community or society to cope using its own resources. Disaster management is how we deal with the human, material, economic, or environmental impacts of said disaster. It is the process of how we "prepare for, respond to, and learn from the effects of natural disasters." Disaster management plays a crucial role in protecting lives, safeguarding infrastructure, and promoting sustainable development. The Disaster Management System is a unique & indigenous technology system made for individuals to have enough preparatory resources to cope up with any kind of disaster if unfortunately stuck with it. The website is practical and easy to navigate through and will prove to be useful for swift retrieval of information.

ABSTRACT Background: Lichen sclerosus is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder that most commonly affects women before puberty or after menopause. Lichen sclerosus is characterized by skin changes of the external genitalia. The most common distribution is involving the vulva and perianal area. The head of the penis and other parts of the body may also be affected. In fact, this skin condition can affect any skin surface with the most common extra-genital sites being on the trunk, a limbs.1 Extragenital involvement is found in approximately 11% of women and is rare in men. Extragenital involvement alone is uncommon and has been reported in about 6% of all women with LSA. The aetiology of LSA is unclear, but genetic, physiological and environmental factors are thought to be involved. Objective: To describe the clinical features and complications of disease and discuss the current management. Methods: Detailed history, physical examination and histopathology findings, a diagnosis of generalized lichen sclerosus Et atrophicus (LSA) was made. Other laboratory examinations were unremarkable. Conclusion: Generalized type is rare and genital involvement is most frequent and often the only site of involvement. As there is no standard treatment for LSA, the patient received various treatments for topical steroid, tacrolimus and narrow -band ultraviolet B therapy. The skin lesions has softened and its color improved after treatment. As, this case is reported an uncommon type of LSA with generalized hyper pigmented and sclerotic skin lesion in a postmenopausal female patient.
