In positive mental health, self-acceptance promotes inner harmony, reduces anxiety and depression, and enhances personal growth and life satisfaction, laying the foundation for meaningful relationships and overall emotional resilience. Hence self acceptance is an integral part of positive mental health. Studies in this area have strongly advocated the benefits of regular physical exercise in enhancing mood states but its efficacy in improving self-acceptace component of positive mental health is not conclusive with a lack of scientific studies in the elderly population. 100 elderly women from Raipur district of Chhattisgarh were selected purposively. Only those women with low levels of self-acceptance were selected. 50 elderly women were placed in the experimental group while the remaining 50 elderly women constituted the control group. To assess self-acceptance in elderly females, a positive mental health inventory of Agashe and Helode (2007) was used. The results reveal a significant increase in self acceptance of elderly women of the experimental group during the 06 months study period (F=48.11, p<.01). Although a significant difference in self acceptance of elderly women was also observed (F=10.49, p<.01) but it lacks uniformity. The gain score comparison further revealed that the self acceptance of elderly women from the experimental group was increased significantly as compared to elderly women in the control group. It was concluded that the six-month interventional physical exercise program proved effective in improving the self-acceptance component of positive mental health among elderly women. Therefore, integrating a structured physical exercise routine into their daily lives is recommended to promote greater self-acceptance.

Sribati or Sreebati is a small village located in the Katwa subdivision of Purba Bardhaman (Eastern Bardhaman) district of West Bengal. It is located between Brahmani River to the north and Khari River to the south. Although a small village, Sribati holds a very important place in the history of Bengal. One of the earliest terracotta temple complexes of Bengal is situated here. But the more interesting fact is that this village holds a link between Bengal and Vidarbha. Although, due to the all-devouring nature of time not much written evidence is left but the oral tradition still preserves a very valuable key to unlock the dust ridden safe of the past.

Advances in technology, sports science, and data analytics have led to the development of modern sports training techniques in the 21st century. Empirical knowledge and intuition-based traditional methods have been substituted by scientifically structured programs emphasizing biomechanics, physiology, and cognitive conditioning. This paper examines the main changes: artificial intelligence, virtual reality, wearable technology, and data-driven analytics, which have transformed athletic preparation and performance optimization. Motion analysis tools and AI-driven feedback systems allow for personalized training regimens, while genetic testing, nutrition science, and mental conditioning contribute to a holistic approach to athlete development. Case studies of elite athletes illustrate the benefits of modern training methodologies, and the influence of social media and online coaching is examined. Future and emerging trends into sports training reveal the neuroscience-based training and the AI-powered coach where innovation is taken forward to unlock athletic ability in humans.

The purpose of the study is to determine the correlation of the body fat percentage with the playing ability of Basketball Players and to assess it. 20 male intercollege Basketball players whose age ranging from 18-27 years of Shree Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal's Degree College of Physical Education. Body fat % was measured using a skinfold caliper in four sites i.e., triceps, abdomen, suprailiac and thigh. Playing ability was measured by Johnson Basketball Test. To determine the correlation of the body fat percentage and the basketball playing ability, Pearson's correlation of coefficient was employed at 0.05 level of significance. The result shows that body fat percentage with shooting, passing and dribbling were calculated with a value of 0.273,0.080 & 0.638 respectively. There was significant relationship of Body Fat Percentage with Dribbling and no significant relation with Shooting and Passing. As dribbling skills require a good agility and agility decreases with higher body fat percentage.

The aim of this study was to compare motor ability between non-exercising and exercising students. For this study, the researcher selected 45 subjects from Yuvashakti Arts & Science College, Amravati (M.S.). All the subjects selected in this study were between 18 and 22 years of age. Among the selected subjects, 15 were students who did not do any exercise or physical activity, 15 were gym goers, 15 were participants in various sports, thus there were a total of forty subjects. To test the components of motor ability of the subjects, B. E. Phillips (1957) developed a test to measure the ability of individuals to perform basic fundamental motor skills. Through which strength, power, speed, agility and endurance were measured. This test includes jumps, chin-ups, and shuttle run. The information was analyzed by applying descriptive statistics and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) among students. The level of confidence was fixed at 0.05 level of significance. Data was analyzed using the Microsoft Excel. This study concluded that there is a significant difference in the ability to perform chin-up between the sports group and the exercise group, but there is no significant difference in vertical jump and shuttle run. Compared to the group of normal students, it was found that there is a significant difference in vertical jump, chin-up and shuttle run. The motor fitness index shows that there is no significant difference between the sports group and the exercise group, but a significant difference was found when compared with normal students. Physical abilities can be developed by doing physical activities.

The aim of this study was to see the effect of an exercise program on the physical ability of elderly people. For the present problem, the subjects were selected from the elderly people residing in the Tehsil of Yavatmal district of Vidarbha. The age of the selected subjects was between 60 and 70 years. Using the available sampling method for selection of subjects, 25 male subjects were selected who were willing to participate in the study voluntarily and did not have any serious illness. The selected 25 subjects were pre-tested and then a 12-months exercise program was organized. The exercise program was conducted for 6 days in a week and one day was given for rest. To test the physical ability of the subjects, grip strength, leg strength, back strength and flexibility were measured. grip dynamometer was used to measure hand strength, Leg dynamometer was used to measure leg strength, Back dynamometer was used to measure back strength and Sit and Reach test was used to measure flexibility. Descriptive statistical method and paired t-test was used to perform statistical analysis of subjects before and after testing. The critical level was set at 0.05. it was concluded that physical capabilities can be improved if exercise training is given even in old age. This study showed significant improvement in right hand strength, back strength, leg strength and flexibility and collectively, exercise training has shown a positive effect on physical capability. The researchers suggest that if exercise training is given in old age under proper guidance, then the physical and mental risks of old age can be reduced.
