Hydrophylax leptoglossa is a species of true frog in the genus Hylarana, commonly known as the long-tongued frog. It is endemic to north eastern India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and western Thailand. It is also known under the common names Assam forest frog, Cope's frog and Cope's Assam frog. Recently, it has been reported from Bhutan. Currently, the genus Hydrophylax has four recognized species, of which Hydrophylax leptoglossa (Assam forest frog) occurs in the northeastern Indian states of Assam, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya (Frost 2021).Recently, Hydrophylax leptoglossa was found in the northern part of West Bengal, Toribari in Siliguri, which signifies the new locality record of the species. Morph metric data for species identification and habitat characteristic are provided.

Aromatase, a key enzyme in estrogen biosynthesis, is a critical therapeutic target for hormone-dependent breast cancer. This study aimed to design novel 2-methyl indole derivatives as aromatase inhibitors using in silico strategies. Fifty-one ligands were computationally designed, and their drug-likeness, ADME properties, binding affinity (via molecular docking), and toxicity were evaluated. Ligand 41 exhibited the highest docking score (-7.5 kcal/mol) with four hydrogen bonds to the aromatase active site (PDB:3S7S) and lower toxicity (Class V, LD50: 2125 mg/kg) compared to the reference compound (6-chloro-5-cyano-2-methyl indole; docking score: -6.0 kcal/mol, Class IV toxicity). All ligands adhered to Lipinski's Rule of Five, indicating favorable oral bioavailability. These results highlight ligand 41 as a promising candidate for further development as a potent and safer aromatase inhibitor.

Khaled Hosseini's works profoundly examine the interconnected themes of redemption and resistance, illustrating personal atonement and wider social conflicts. This study rigorously analyzes the themes of The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and And The Mountains Echoed, illustrating how remorse, resilience, and rebellion against injustice influence the characters' lives and their ethical pathways. In The Kite Runner, Amir's pursuit of redemption underscores the challenging journey of seeking forgiveness and atonement through sacrifice. A Thousand Splendid Suns depicts resistance via Mariam and Laila's confrontation with sexism and political upheaval, exemplifying the indomitable resilience of Afghan women. And The Mountains Echoed intricately intertwines several experiences of guilt and perseverance, exposing the significant moral quandaries people encounter in their pursuit of forgiveness and justice. This research underscores that redemption encompasses not just personal salvation but also moral reckoning and reform, while resistance appears in several forms, ranging from quiet endurance to aggressive defiance. Hosseini's oeuvre together highlights the persistence of the human spirit, illustrating how people face their history and defy injustice to restore dignity and hope.

The community of plant species that are available to mankind is vast, with many species still undiscovered. Unfortunately, numerous plant species are on the edge of extinction, largely due to deforestation driven by human activities, such as industrial expansion and many more. This destruction of natural habitats disturbs the survival of plants, which are important for ecological balance. Preserving plant species is crucial for future generation and public awareness is essential to prevent further loss. This project aims to develop a system that facilitates easy identification of plant species by reducing the dependence on research papers or books. By using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), the system simplifies the recognition of similar-looking plants and enhances awareness about nature. The model's training process had traditional CNN techniques, with measures such as image augmentation to improve accuracy. The existing system achieved an accuracy of 78.85% in identifying plants. While this accuracy is promising, future improvements can be made by exploring alternative CNN architectures or increasing the dataset size. The project had a structured methodology.

The study, "A Study on Consumer Preference and Satisfaction Towards Apple iPhone with Reference to Coimbatore City," assesses the perception of Coimbatore residents about iPhones, in relation to issues such as brand reputation, product quality, and customer service, and analyses their satisfaction levels. However, among the innovative features of Apple iPhone, camera quality and iOS are the significant factors driving consumer preference, although high costs, frequent app crashes, and battery issues lower satisfaction. The descriptive research involved a survey of 100 respondents through questionnaires, which showed that students are the largest user group and most prefer recent models for affordability. Statistical tools such as percentage and chi-square analysis indicate no significant correlation between age and buying cost or gender and camera quality. Key findings highlight affordability, improved technical reliability, and customer support besides the exploitation of privacy and iOS features in the marketing strategy as a way to sustain brand appeal. The conclusion is that this will improve the satisfaction and loyalty of customers in the market of Coimbatore.

ABSTRACT The present study was conducted on some stretches of Kosi River in, Bihar. It is an important tributary of the Ganga River system and serves as a basis of livelihood and employment for many surrounding fishing communities. Despite of its fisheries and agricultural importance, studies concerning the ichthyofaunal diversity, eco-fishery status and ecology are limited. The present communication deals with ichthyofaunal diversity in this river. The fish fauna of this stretch of Kosi River is comprised of 35 species, which belongs to 15 families and 8 orders were reported. Extensive field survey and fish sampling was done to assess the abundance and distribution of fishes in flood plain wetlands specially Kosi River area in Bihar. The survey result showed that among the total fish species collected, Order Cypriniforms held a major portion of the district's fish fauna. Wanton fishing methods such as fish poisoning, uses of restricted fishing gear and small mesh sized fishing net were also observed.
