 Abstract

This study explores the awareness, perception, and influence of KFC's green practices among young consumers in Coimbatore, with a focus on assessing how these practices impact their brand perception and purchasing decisions. The research aims to analyze the influence of demographic factors such as age, gender, and education level on the awareness and acceptance of KFC's sustainability initiatives. A structured questionnaire was administered to 200 respondents aged 18-30, with data collected through stratified random sampling from urban and semi-urban locations. The study employed statistical tools, including Chi-square tests, regression analysis, and one-way ANOVA, to evaluate the relationships between demographic characteristics, communication strategies, and consumer behavior. The results indicate that there is no significant association between age, gender, or education level and the awareness or perception of KFC's green practices. However, the study reveals a strong positive correlation between KFC's communication of its green practices and the respondents' perceptions of the brand, with a significant impact on brand opinion. Additionally, education levels were found not to significantly influence purchasing decisions based on environmental practices. The findings suggest that KFC should focus on improving its communication strategies, particularly targeting younger consumers via social media platforms, and continue to enhance its sustainability practices. This research provides valuable insights into how KFC can strengthen its brand image and appeal to the eco-conscious youth demographic.

 Abstract

The refugee crisis in South Asia remains one of the most pressing humanitarian challenges, driven by ethnic conflicts, religious persecution, political instability, and climate change. Countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India have been primary destinations for displaced populations, including the Rohingya from Myanmar, Afghan refugees, Tamil refugees from Sri Lanka, and Tibetan exiles. Despite hosting millions of refugees, South Asian nations lack a unified legal framework to address the crisis, as none are signatories to the 1951 UN Refugee Convention. This article explores the historical and contemporary refugee movements in the region, the challenges faced by host countries, and the role of international organizations in managing displacement. It also examines the impact of statelessness, environmental displacement, and policy shortcomings on refugee protection. Given the geopolitical complexities, a regional approach is necessary to ensure sustainable solutions. Strengthening legal frameworks, fostering regional cooperation, and addressing the root causes of displacement are critical for resolving the refugee crisis. The article calls for a balanced approach that upholds humanitarian obligations while considering national security and economic constraints.

 Abstract

This paper explores the critical comparison between gender bias and gender neutrality in the corporate sector, examining their profound implications on organizational practices and employee outcomes. It begins by analyzing the shaping of gender stereotypes, particularly in the context of India, where traditional gender roles influence career trajectories and workplace experiences. Gender stereotyping in India is discussed, highlighting how societal norms create disparities in opportunities, roles, and expectations. The paper further investigates gender differences at the workplace, including the impact of these differences on occupational stress and career progression, particularly for women in male-dominated sectors. Key barriers in Human Resource processes, such as biased recruitment practices and challenges in breaking the glass ceiling, are addressed, showing how structural and cultural factors perpetuate gender inequality. The paper also examines the psychological effects of gendered expectations, focusing on stress differences and coping mechanisms. The benefits of gender neutrality in the workplace, such as improved employee satisfaction, higher productivity, and a more inclusive organizational culture, are emphasized. Global and Indian best practices in promoting gender-neutral policies, including mentorship programs, flexible work arrangements, and transparent promotion criteria, are presented. Finally, the paper provides recommendations for fostering gender neutrality in corporate practices, advocating for a holistic approach to policy changes, leadership training, and organizational culture shifts to ensure long-term equity and success in the corporate sector. The findings underscore the importance of gender-conscious leadership in shaping a fair and supportive workplace culture.

 Abstract

Herbal skin care products have gained significant popularity due to their potential benefits in promoting nourishing skin and preventing skin-related problems. This abstract presents the formulation of a novel herbal face cream utilizing the extract of Rambutan and Orange peel. Rambutan and Orange peel have long been recognized for their therapeutic properties, including their ability to nourish and moisturize the skin and enhance health. In this study, the extract of Rambutan peel and Orange peel was incorporated into a synergistic face cream formulation, aiming at their combined beneficial effect and also used to treat acne vulgaris. The formulation process involves the extraction of active constituents from Rambutan peel and Orange peel using an ethanolic solvent system. Through qualitative analysis, the extract was then standardized for key phytochemical compounds such as carbohydrates, proteins, tannins, and flavonoids. These compounds are known to process antimicrobial and moisturizing properties. The standardized extracts were incorporated into a suitable base cream, ensuring proper emulsification and stability. The final product was evaluated for its phytochemical properties, to ensure its stability as a face cream. Preliminary results demonstrated promising skin-related benefits associated with formulated herbal cream. It exhibits considerable potential in promoting healthier skin and reducing dryness and acne.
