Abstract This study examines themes of race and alienation in Dancing in the Dark by Caryl Phillips, a novel that delves into the life of Bert Williams, a black vaudeville performer in early 20th-century America. By contextualizing Williams's experiences within historical and social frameworks, Phillips portrays the alienation imposed by racial prejudice and the complexities of navigating identity in a society where acceptance often comes at the cost of self-denial. Through close analysis of Williams's internal struggles and his performative life, this research explores how racialized identity can become both a source of professional success and profound personal estrangement. The novel is interpreted through the lens of postcolonial theory, highlighting how Phillips critiques not only the overt racial barriers but also the more insidious psychological tolls of systemic racism. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of Phillips's portrayal of racial alienation and its impact on individual identity in the broader landscape of African American literature.

Graphic novel is a blend of sophisticated artwork and literary themes aiming to generate critical thinking in the readers. Unlike comic books, this academic discipline transcends the idea of enjoyable reading and foregrounds the social, political and communal consciousness in the readers' minds by the end of the narrative. Bhimayana: Experiences of Untouchability and Gardener in the Wasteland: Jotiba Phule's Struggle for Freedom are milestone works in this regard as it provides new aesthetic and narrative methods for discussing topics concerning caste repression, resistance activities, and cultural assertions within India. These writings not only provide the historical accounts of struggles but also subvert the aesthetic hegemony in the making, which offers spaces for the margins and native artistic expressions.

Abstract: Globalization, a defining phenomenon of the 21st century, has reshaped the political, economic, and cultural landscapes of nation-states. While it has fostered unprecedented interconnectedness and collaboration, it has also challenged the traditional concept of state sovereignty rooted in the Westphalian system. This research explores the multifaceted impacts of globalization on national sovereignty, focusing on economic liberalization, political interdependence, cultural integration, and technological advancements. The study highlights both the opportunities and threats globalization presents to sovereign states. On the positive side, globalization facilitates collective problem-solving, drives economic growth, and promotes cultural exchange. However, it also erodes economic autonomy, subjects political decision-making to supranational influences, and threatens cultural identities through homogenization. Through case studies of entities like the European Union, India's WTO interactions, and China's Belt and Road Initiative, this research identifies the dynamics between globalization and state sovereignty. The paper concludes by emphasizing the need for balanced governance strategies that harness the benefits of globalization while safeguarding national interests and autonomy. This study provides a framework for policymakers to navigate the complexities of globalization, ensuring sustainable development and equitable global integration without compromising the sovereignty of nation-states.

Gold has played a crucial role in India's economy and culture, evolving from a traditional store of wealth to a fashion statement and a diversified investment asset. Historically valued for its stability and security, gold remains a hedge against inflation and economic fluctuations. The emergence of digital gold, ETFs, and government-backed schemes has enhanced accessibility, reshaping investment preferences. Despite evolving consumer behavior, gold retains its cultural and financial significance. This study explores gold's transition in India, analyzing its impact on investment choices and lifestyle trends.

Savings and investments are commitment of funds for particular period of time in expectation of return and/or capital appreciation. This study involves collection of primary data from degree college lecturers of Mysore district. Analysis revealed that respondents with Phd qualification, worked for government sector, teaching science subjects preferred longer duration investment avenues compared to post graduated, worked for private sector and teaching arts and commerce subjects lecturers. This study found that there is no significant association between age, marital status, spouse's working status, family structure, place of residence, nature of residence and duration of investment made, whereas there is significant association between gender, qualification, sector, teaching department and duration of investment made.

Predictive Maintenance (PdM) has emerged as a vital strategy in modern industrial systems, aiming to forecast equipment failures before they occur, thereby reducing downtime and optimizing maintenance operations. Leveraging machine learning (ML) algorithms like Long ShortTerm Memory (LSTM) networks, Random Forest, and Isolation Forest, PdM models can process real time sensor data to predict equipment degradation and Remaining Useful Life (RUL). This survey examines the current landscape of MLdriven PdM, discussing the key algorithms, their applications, and the associated challenges in industrial environments. It also highlights real world case studies and future directions for improving PdM systems through advancements like edge computing, reinforcement learning, and explainable AI. Despite the growing success of these approaches, critical challenges related to data quality, model interpretability, and computational complexity remain. Addressing these challenges will be essential for the widespread adoption of ML driven PdM solutions.

Pharmacovigilance is a critical field that focuses on the detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and other drug-related problems. This discipline plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products throughout their lifecycle, from pre-marketing clinical trials to post-marketing surveillance. The rapid advancement in drug development and the increasing complexity of therapeutic options necessitate robust pharmacovigilance systems to monitor the risks and benefits of medications in real-world populations. Despite extensive regulatory frameworks and global collaboration, underreporting of ADRs and challenges in data integration remain significant barriers. This review paper explores the fundamental concepts of pharmacovigilance, including adverse drug reaction reporting systems, risk management strategies, and the evolving role of technology in improving safety monitoring. The paper also examines the regulatory frameworks established by agencies such as the FDA, EMA, and WHO, and highlights the importance of continuous monitoring to detect previously unrecognized safety concerns. The growing use of artificial intelligence and big data analytics in pharmacovigilance is also discussed, offering a glimpse into the future of drug safety assessment. Ultimately, pharmacovigilance serves as a critical tool for optimizing patient safety, guiding clinical decision-making, and contributing to the development of safer, more effective therapies. Pharmacovigilance is the science and activities related to the detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) or any other drug-related problems. It aims to improve patient safety and ensure the safe use of medicines by monitoring their effects in real-world settings after they have been approved and are available on the market.
