Use of computers is increasing day-by-day. Computer Vision Syndrome(CVS) is a disease caused due to continuous use of computers. Prolonged usage of computer causes CVS because of the light emitted through the computer screen. In this paper we are surveying research papers concerning Computer Vision Syndrome and how we can take precautionary measures against this disease. This paper takes a gander at the recent research work done relating to CVS and Computer Vision. This paper gives the reader a perspicacious understanding about CVS and the ways to reduce its impact.

Circulation of Fake currency can have so many adverse effects on the economy of India. The counterfeiters are becoming harder to track down because of highly advance technology. One of the most effective methods to stop counterfeits can be the use of counterfeit detection software that is easily available and is efficient. Our project will recognize Indian currency note using a real time image obtained from a web cam. The necessity of our project is image processing. The web cam images are detected using image processing which recognizes area of image that is going to manipulate and shows the segmentation of original image. So our aim is to work on those factors that are impossible to implement on counterfeit note so we started working on three parameters out of ten which will be enough to differentiate fake and original note. Accordingly, when the currency is detected and verified. As per the requirement of lower denomination user will set a count by using GUI. The mechanism of exchange is in process using arduino, roller and infrared sensor for number of count of lower denomination to be delivered to the user. Finally, we get the lower denomination as requested to the system.

Automatic speech recognition system are most prominent and important technique for human and computer interaction, controlling devices, extracting information. System user experience completely relies on accuracy, quality of speech notes and on the response time of the system. A system can be monolingual or multilingual, each works differently with different efficiency in accordance with the backend technique used. We have described about various ASR algorithms and feature extraction techniques and their comparison with each other in this paper. Feature extraction techniques like LPC, MFCCs, RASTA filtering, PLDA, LDA , PCA and algorithms like DTW, VQ, SVM, GMM, HMM.

Advances in nanoscience and nanotechnology are centered in the control of size and shape of nanoparticles, as well as attainment of the extended arrangement of nanoparticles in different structures. One dimensional nanostructured magnetic materials are interesting because of their enhanced magnetic properties and potential applications such as information storage and gas sensor. The advanced electronic applications of Fe3O4 magnetic nanomaterials are considered to require improvement in the powder processing, particularly, meticulous particle control in the nanometer range and phase purity. Structural properties of Fe3O4 nanoparticles were synthesized via sol-gel protocol, the morphology and particles size were determined by X-ray diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscope, Transmission Electron Microscope, Energy dispersive X-ray, UV- Diffuse reflectance spectrophotometer and particle size analyzer. The structure of as prepared Fe3O4 nanoparticles was used for photocatalytic applications.

Abstract We cannot refute the fact that few changes are not good for us and progressive change in climate conditions worldwide is disturbing the mankind in substantially destructive ways. Physical and mental conditions of people are likely to be unified and interlinked. Changes in climate can affect not only physical but also the mental health of people. Researches indicate increase in temperature may increase the level of aggression in people hence people engage in unlawful acts more in summers than in winters. Incessant droughts due to changes in climate conditions are accountable for many psychological problems like distress, impair mental health and suicidal tendencies in farmers. As frequency of adversity due to climate changes are increasing, increase in many psychological problems also tends to increase in people. People who face these changes are prone to posttraumatic stress disorders, depression and adjustment disorders. Drastic changes in climate may also lead people to migrate which become a foremost cause for them to be stressful and anxious.

In this paper we have tried to study the impact of the Quality control/circles on the manufacturing industries- BHEL (Bhopal) and RECRONS Synthetics Ltd. Naini Allahbad (formerly Raymond Synthetics Ltd). We have taken one private industry and one public sector industry in our study for the sake of the microscopic analysis and a comparative study is done in reference to these two organizations. In our study general perception of the QC is taken and genesis and the development of QC are also taken. We have constructed the empirical results thorough the primary data obtained via questionnaire in which we have studied the various aspects of the QC- Its functioning, impact on productivity and the other factors. Moreover the status of the organization is also analysed pre and post implementation of the QC measures. Based on the study some recommendations are given so that the productivity, customer satisfaction and the market share can be increased to a larger extent.

In this paper an effort is made to measure the productive efficiency of aggregate manufacturing sector in Tamilnadu in the liberalized regime for the reference period from 1991-1992 to 2011-2012. A stochastic frontier production function model was applied to analyze the data. The summation of the elasticities of factors of production, indicated return to scale of 1.287. Since the value of return to scale was greater than unity, one percent increase in inputs (labour and capital) resulted an increase 1.287 percent in output level for the stochastic frontier. In terms of technical efficiency, the manufacturing sector in Tamilnadu recorded an average efficiency of 0.939 (93.0 percent). It was also revealed that the technical efficiency of industries in Tamil Nadu have not shown any decline but showed mixed trend. The average technical inefficiency was observed as 0.065, which was negligible. In order to reduce the inefficiency in future, and become more efficient the manufacturing sector can increase output using the existing resources or by reducing costs given the current level of production.
