 Abstract

Obesity is becoming a serious health issue especially in developed countries. India is also following a trend of other developing countries that are steadily becoming more obese. The main causes of obesity are overeating and decreased physical activity, which means imbalance between the amount of energy intake and the amount of energy expenditure. If someone is obese or overweight, he/ she may feel decreased level of energy, difficulties in breathing, excess sweating, have problem in sleeping and experience back and joint pains. They may have an increased risk of developing type-2 diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, joints related problem, kidney disease and asthma etc. Individuals can also develop psychological problems. Yoga has an important role in the management of Obesity and the proven effects of yoga are available. Yogic management of obesity is based on controlled and balanced diet, yoga postures and breathing techniques. Yoga poses work on endocrine glands, improve blood circulation and improve body's metabolism. Asanas strengthens the muscles, deep breathing while doing yoga reduces fat for bringing body weight to optimal level. In this review article, evidence based therapeutic application of yoga therapy for managing obesity has been discussed.

 Abstract

Ensuring data privacy in secure cloud storage has heightened interest in searchable encryption techniques. This study focuses on a critical cryptographic construct known as public key encryption with keyword search (PEKS), which plays a pivotal role in cloud storage applications. Traditional PEKS systems, however, are vulnerable to a significant security flaw known as the inside keyword guessing attack (KGA), where a malicious server exploits inherent weaknesses. To overcome this limitation, we introduce an enhanced PEKS model called dual-server PEKS (DS-PEKS). A key innovation in our framework is the introduction of a new type of smooth projective hash function (SPHF), termed linear and homomorphic SPHF (LH-SPHF). Leveraging LH-SPHF, we present a generic methodology for constructing a secure DS-PEKS scheme. To demonstrate the practicality of our approach, we provide an efficient implementation of the framework using a Decision Diffie-Hellman-based LH-SPHF and establish its robust security against KGA threats.

 Abstract

In the present era, ulcer management is challenging for the surgeon. Varicose ulcers are wounds that arise due to the malfunctioning of veins, typically in the lower limbs. In Ayurveda, the condition is clinically correlated with 'Sira janya dushta vrana' in Sushruta Samhita, which gives a detailed description of the various features of a Dushta Vrana and has Shashti Upakramas for treating such Vranas (ulcers). The overall incidence is higher for females than males. Compression therapy and antimicrobial therapy are strategies for managing chronic wounds. Surgery is performed in cases where there are no responses. This case report is the description of a 43-year-old male who is a businessman by profession and complains of non-healing ulcers in the left lower limbs around the ankle joint with a history of 10 years, associated with severe pain, burning sensation, and foul smell that have aggravated for 2 years. He took treatment for the same but didn't get any relief, so he approached for the treatment. By using Shashti Upakrama, we applied treatment for the patient, which was Jalaukavacharana, followed by Kasisadi Taila external application and internal medications such as Kaishora Guggulu, Gandhaka Rasayana, and Manjishtadi Kashaya for 2 months. The presented study combines Jalaukavacharana and Kasisadi Taila applications with internal medications, which was a good alternative therapy for managing non-healing varicose ulcers.

 Abstract

This machining performance of Nimonic 80A, a nickel-based superalloy, in a turning operation under Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) conditions. The research focuses on the effects of textured and untextured cutting tools on critical performance metrics such as surface roughness, tool wear, and cutting temperature. Experimental findings demonstrate that textured tools significantly outperform untextured ones due to enhanced lubrication retention and reduced friction. Optimal machining conditions were identified using statistical techniques, yielding improved surface quality, extended tool life, and reduced thermal loads. This work highlights the potential of integrating MQL and tool texturing to achieve sustainable and efficient machining for hard-to-process materials like Nimonic 80A.

The Netflix series Wednesday (2022) reimagines the life of Wednesday Addams from the Addams Family franchise, transforming her into a central character navigating adolescence, mystery, and self-discovery. This research paper analyzes the thematic depth of Wednesday, focusing on its portrayal of identity, belonging, and adversity within the context of a modern Gothic narrative. Through a combination of character analysis, narrative structure, and visual aesthetics, the paper argues that the series effectively bridges classic Gothic tropes with contemporary social commentary, creating a compelling story that resonates with younger audiences.
