Stress related to work load is a recognized problem in health care workers. Nursing has been identified as an occupation that has high levels of stress. It was found that job stress brought about hazardous impacts not only on nurses' health but also in their abilities to cope with job demands. This seriously impairs the provision of quality care and the efficacy of health services delivery. Nursing has been identified by a number of studies as a stressful occupation. Emotional freedom technique (EFT) tapping is a mind-body method of tapping acupuncture points (acupoints) on the hands, face, and body with your fingertips while focusing on an issue or feeling you're hoping to resolve. This method may reduce stress and anxiety, improve performance, lessen cravings, and help resolve fears. The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of Emotional freedom technique on stress related to work load among staff nurses working in general wards of selected tertiary care hospital of the city. Methods : The present study was based on Quantitative research approach with One group pre test post test research design. Study was conducted on 100 staff nurses working in general wards of selected tertiary care hospital of the city who were selected by using non-probability purposive sampling technique. Semi structured questionnaire was used to collect demographic data and standardized perceived stress scale (PSS) to assess the level of perceived stress among nurses. Data analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics to describe and show the association between stress and the variables. Based on the objectives and the hypothesis the study data were analyzed by using various statistical tests such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, t' test and chi square test. Result : The study result reveals that, majority 80% of samples having moderate stress score in Pre- test scores that has reduced to 24% in post- test after EFT. 14% of subjects were having mild stress in pre- test, which has hiked to 76%in post-test, Whereas 6% samples were having severe stress before EFT which was minimized to zero in post-test. There was a marked relapse in post EFT stress scores. The comparisons of the pre- test and post- test means scores of the stress were done by the paired t test. The pre- test average score was 18.83 with standard deviation of 4.28 whereas the post- test average score was 12.00 with standard deviation of 3.50. The test statistics value of the paired t test was 17.74 with p value 0.00. Shows that Emotional Freedom Technique intervened to reduce the severity of job stress was effective. Conclusion : The level of stress related to work load among staff nurses working in general wards reduced significantly after Emotional Freedom Technique. It is recommended that such technique has to be arranged for staff nurses to reduce stress

Cosmeceuticals are products that combine cosmetics and biologically active substances, claiming therapeutic or pharmacological benefits. They are used to treat dermatological conditions, nourish the skin, and enhance its appearance by improving tone, texture, and brightness, and reducing wrinkles. Unlike traditional cosmetics, cosmeceuticals aim to provide both aesthetic and skin health benefits. Herbal cosmeceuticals are particularly popular due to their safety and antioxidant properties. However, the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act does not officially recognize the term cosmeceuticals, and the FDA does not require pre-market review or verification of manufacturers' claims. While safety testing is standard for both cosmetics and cosmeceuticals, efficacy testing of active ingredients is not mandatory. Cosmeceuticals are limited to topical applications like ointments, lotions, and creams.

Talk about how some factors affect the likelihood of adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Using PubMed, the Cochrane database of systematic reviews, EMBASE, and IDIS, a comprehensive review of the literature published between 1991 and 2012 was conducted. The following keywords were used: ambulatory care, primary health care, iatrogenic disease causes, adverse drug reactions, medication errors, side effects, and treatment hazards. ADRs are caused by a variety of variables, some of which are associated with the patient, the medication, or society. For example, age has a significant influence on the incidence of adverse drug reactions (ADRs); patients of all ages are more susceptible to these responses than those of other age groups. ADRs are significantly impacted by alcohol use as well. ADRs are caused by a variety of reasons. Healthcare practitioners can do this by being aware of these factors. 1. Select the best medication schedules 2. Give each patient tailored guidance. 3. Take into account pharmacogenomics, or genetic predispositions. When making treatment decisions, healthcare providers can lower ADRs by taking into account both modifiable (such as smoking and alcohol consumption) and non-modifiable (such as age and genetics) factors.

Although the teaching profession has traditionally been regarded as low stress occupation (French et al.,1982) but during the past two decades the situation is somersaulted (Olivier & Venter,2003)Teaching is becoming more challenging as a profession, a more paper work, more bureaucracy and more unruly classes. Worldwide surveys reveal widespread concern about the effects of stress on teachers' sense of well-being and their willingness to stay in the profession. Progressive muscle relaxation [PMR] was first identified by Jacobson in 1934 as tensing and releasing of 16 muscle groups. Wolpe adapted it for use with systematic desensitization in 1948 and Bernstein and Borkovec in 1973 studied adjustments to the technique to fit cognitive behavioural stress management. Some of these adjustments are: 7 and 4 muscle groups, relaxation through recall, recall and counting, and counting. Empirical evidence supports the use of PMR in high level tension responses and mind body techniques. The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of Jacobson progressive muscle relaxation technique related to occupational stress among teaching staff of selected secondary schools of the urban city. Methods : A pre experimental method was undertaken where 80 teaching staff of secondary school were recruited as sample by non- probability convenient sampling method. Using NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) Modified generic job stress scale data was collected. Data analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics to describe and show the association between occupational stress and the variables. Result : The study result depicted that, in pre-test 50% of the teaching staff had moderate(score 60-90) and 29% of them had severe (score 91-120) and 21% subjects had mild stress, while in post-test only 1% of the teaching staff remained in severe category of occupational stress (score 91-120), 75% of them had moved to mild occupational stress (score 31-60) and 24% of subjects had moderate occupational stress (score 61-90).The comparisons of the pre- test and post- test means of the occupational stress were done by the paired t test. Average occupational stress score in pre-test was 69.62 which has reduced to 52.42 in post-test. t-value for this test was 9.07 with 79 degrees of freedom. Corresponding p-value was small (less than 0.05).Occupational stress score in post-test was significantly low as compared to that in pre-test. Conclusion : It is concluded that the level of occupational stress among teaching staff was reduced significantly after application of Jacobson progressive muscle relaxation technique

In a world striving for inclusivity, enhancing communication with the hearing-impaired community remains a crucial area of focus. This project aims to develop a deep learning-based system for sign language recognition, improving real-time gesture interpretation to bridge communication gaps effectively. Leveraging advanced computer vision techniques with convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for gesture detection and feature extraction, the system recognizes and translates sign language gestures into text or speech. By integrating OpenCV for efficient image and video processing, and TensorFlow/ Keras for model training and deployment, the system is designed for accuracy, scalability, and real-time performance. A user-friendly interface, built with Streamlit, ensures accessibility for diverse users and provides an essential tool to facilitate interactions between hearing and hearing-impaired individuals across various social and professional contexts.
