 Abstract

This study evaluates the performance, resource utilization, and industry adoption of three prominent web development languages: JavaScript (Node.js), PHP, and Ruby (Ruby on Rails). Through comparative analysis, the paper examines computational speed, CPU/memory efficiency, and real-world application use cases. JavaScript, with its non-blocking, event-driven architecture, emerges as the most scalable option for real-time, high-concurrency applications. PHP excels in content-heavy websites and CMS platforms, benefiting from recent performance enhancements in PHP 7 and PHP 8. Ruby, while less performant, prioritizes developer productivity and rapid application prototyping, making it ideal for startups and e-commerce. Case studies on LinkedIn, Netflix, Facebook, Wikipedia, Shopify, and GitHub illustrate the languages' diverse strengths and industry relevance. The findings emphasize the importance of aligning language choice with project-specific needs, whether prioritizing scalability, content management, or development speed. Limitations in benchmarking and framework dependencies are acknowledged, and recommendations for future research include cross-language framework comparisons and serverless architecture performance studies.

 Abstract

The widespread presence of tiny plastic particles, specifically microplastics (100 nm-5 mm) in various ecosystems is becoming a significant environmental issue. Adding to these worries is the fact that microplastics (MNPs) possess different characteristics compared to their larger counterparts; therefore, their complete biological and ecological effects remain largely unknown. Currently, evidence suggests that these small plastic particles can release harmful plastic additives and can absorb a variety of chemicals, acting as reservoirs for various toxic substances, which increases their bioavailability, toxicity, and movement. Additionally, there is a potential risk of MNPs transferring through the food chain to humans and other higher organisms after being consumed by lower life forms. Additionally, there is a risk that microplastics (MNPs) could be transferred through the food chain to humans and other higher organisms after being consumed by lower species. Consequently, this paper provides a thorough evaluation of our present understanding of the environmental repercussions associated with MNPs. In this context, the characteristics, origins, and harmful effects of MNPs on various ecosystems, especially concerning living organisms, were explained. Likewise, the negative impacts of these particles on humans, along with ongoing and future initiatives aimed at reducing these harmful effects, were examined. Lastly, the planet's natural self-cleansing mechanisms involving a variety of decomposer organisms in relation to these synthetic particles were also emphasized.

 Abstract

Plastics are widely used in consumer goods, building and construction, agriculture, and health. They are significant in every economic area worldwide. The biosphere and human existence on earth are seriously threatened by the excessive usage of plastics. The buildup of plastics on land and in the ocean has sparked interest in breaking down these polymers. To lessen the environmental load of plastics, sufficient biodegradable techniques must be used. Understanding the relationship between bacteria and polymers is crucial to resolving environmental issues related to plastics. Numerous biological things, primarily microbes, have developed survival and degradation techniques for plastics. The varieties of plastics based on their thermal and biodegradable properties, types of deterioration and biodegradation, types of degradable plastics, biodegradation characterisation, and variables influencing biodegradation are the main topics of this review. These microbes are ideal for green chemistry to remove toxic plastics from the environment because of their capacity for plastic degradation and bioremediation.
