The steel-and-concrete structure is a contemporary design that combines the benefits of both steel and concrete. It is used extensively worldwide these days. Understanding and putting this kind of organization into effect requires a thorough understanding of its genesis and development history. The analysis of shear-key hybrid connections between steel columns and RC beams is the focus of this paper. This study addresses six models in total: the entire reinforced concrete structure, the relationship of reinforced concrete beams to steel columns, and the steel structure of two distinct seismic zones, Zone II and Zone V. Considering the 36 x 36 m plan size of the G+21 building for each of the six types. Complete RC and steel structures are generic models that do not take replacements into account, but in RC beam to column structure by installing shear keys at every RC beam to steel column connection, we are swapping out all of the peripheral concrete columns for steel ones. Comparing the drift, displacement and stiffness parameters of the models under consideration at two distinct seismic zones is the primary objective of the research. Response spectrum analysis is used to analyze the Base shear, which is then compared to the structures. ETABS-2021 is utilized in this project for entire model design and analysis. The analysis is done as per IS 456:2000 code and for seismic analysis IS 1893:2016 (part 1) code. M30 grade of concrete and FE-550 grade of steel is adopted. Based upon the results as plotted on the graphs it is clear that RC beam to steel column connection structure performing better compared to RC and Steel Structure in terms of Storey Drift and Storey Displacement values in both the zones II and V. The base shear is little high in RC structure compared to RC Beam to steel column structure but, it doesn't affecting much in structural aspects. RC Beam to Steel Column Structure is Stiffer as well as Economical.

In this study, we propose a system to develop an efficient model for timetable scheduling utilizing a genetic algorithm. The goal of the research is to construct a model leveraging genetic algorithms to effectively address complex combinatorial optimization problems. The algorithm was evaluated on both small and large problem instances. The performance of the algorithm was notably improved through modifications to the fundamental genetic operators, which prevented the generation of new conflicts within individuals. The scheduling solution outlined in this paper is adaptive in nature

Background: Prolonged standing, over pronation, High-Arched Feet, Leg-length discrepancy, improper footwear and increased BMI may contribute to plantar fascitis. Myofascial release applies pressure to change the fiber length. Increased tissue elasticity allows more movement with fascia tissue and prevents restrictions and adhesions from occurring. Stretching focused on gastrocnemius and soleus muscles is effective because it increases Achilles' tendon flexibility which in turn reduces the tensile forces applied to the plantar aponeurosis. Ultrasound therapy helps to relieve pain by increased local metabolism, circulation and extensibility of connective tissue and tissue regeneration. Hence the purpose of the study is to compare effectiveness of Self Myofascial release and stretching with both in the combination of ultrasound therapy in reducing the pain and improving the range of motion and functional ability in patients with plantar fascitis. Methods: A total of 50 samples were taken from outpatient physiotherapy department, AVMC&H, and Puducherry. They were divided into 2 groups - Group A and Group - B (25 subjects in each group). Group A received Self Myofascial release with ultrasound therapy and Group B received stretching exercise with ultrasound therapy for a period of 4 days a week for 2 weeks. Prior to the study, the objectives and guidelines were explained to all the participants and written informed consent form and information form were signed by the participants. The pretests and posttests Foot Function Index scale and ankle range of motion using Universal Goniometer were recorded before and after the intervention of 2 weeks. Results: The results of the study were significant improvement in Self Myofascial release with ultrasound therapy was much better than stretching exercise with ultrasound therapy. Conclusion: The study concluded that the self-Myofascial release with ultrasound therapy were effective in reducing the pain and improving range of motion and foot function in patients with plantar fascitis.

Background: To analyze the affect of antihypertensive medications like calcium channel blockers (CCB) and Angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) at bedtime on Ocular perfusion pressure (OPP) and severity of Primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Material and methods: A case-control study of 60 glaucoma patients were included over 6 months. There were 40 glaucoma patients on antihypertensive drugs (20 on calcium channel blockers and 20 on angiotensin receptor blockers) and 20 without hypertension (Controls) in each of the three groups. Results: The two groups of antihypertensive drugs were calcium channel blockers (CCB) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB). When compared to controls, the use of calcium channel blockers (CCB) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) was found to increase the progression of OAG slightly (CI 49.25 - 55.67, CI 44.34 - 57.20, and CI 51.19 - 60.35, respectively); this was discovered because the P-value in ocular perfusion pressure (0.0074) is statistically significant. Conclusions: Antihypertensive drugs lower blood pressure, which in turn lowers perfusion pressure. This will negatively impact glaucoma patients with already weakened optic nerve head.

The integration of sustainable materials and methods in modern construction is imperative to mitigate environmental degradation. Cob, an ancient earthen building material, offers high sustainability when paired with contemporary waste-utilization techniques, such as incorporating fly ash--a by-product of coal combustion. This study explores the post-construction interior design of a cob farmhouse, focusing on aesthetic appeal, functionality, and environmental performance. The research highlights fly ash's role in enhancing thermal properties, reducing environmental impact, and creating eco-friendly, aesthetically pleasing interiors.

Grüneisen parameter is an important physical quantity for investigating thermal and elastic properties of solids at high pressures and high temperatures. The volume dependence of Grüneisen parameter is needed to predict melting temperatures of solids at high pressures with the help of the Lindemann law. A simple linear relationship between Grüneisen parameter and pressures derivative of bulk modulus has been formulated for the entire range of compressions. Values of Grüneisen parameter have been determined for a wide range of compressions in case of NaCl, NaF, LiF, MgO, CaF2 and SiC. The results for pressure derivative of bulk modulus based on the Holzapfel equation of state have been used as input data. A comparison of the values of Grüneisen parameter at different volume compressions determined in the present study is made with the corresponding values obtained from the slopes of melting curves for the solids under study.
