 Abstract

Abstract This article examines alternative medicine's function and place in modern society, as well as its concepts and types, as well as some common alternative medical treatments. Any medical treatment that is not part of traditional evidence-based medicine is referred to as alternative medicine. Alternative medicine is practised to some extent in many societies, and phrases like traditional medicine, indigenous medicine, and folk medicine are used to characterise it. Depending on the country and culture, many remedies date back hundreds or even thousands of years.

 Abstract

Kampavata is a slow progressive disorder of late adult life and is one of most prevalent neurological disorder. Parkinson's disease, known in Ayurveda as "Kampavata," is a neurological disorder affecting 1% of the population over age 65 and is the fourth most common neurological degenerative disorder found in the elderly. In Charaka Samhita vepathu has been described as one of the eighty types Vata nantmaja vyadhi and Kampa has been mentioned one among them. The present study objective is to evaluate the efficacy of Chaturbhuja Rasa in Kampavata. A simple random single group observational study is adopted here. Kampavata expresses the signs and symptoms as Karapadatale Kampa, Dehabhramana, Nidrabhanga and Matiksheena. In Rasendrasara sangraha, Chaturbhuja Rasa is directly indicated for Kampavata. Thus an effort is made to evaluate the efficacy of internal administration of Chaturbhuja Rasa in Kampavata. In the present study 20 patients were registered after fulfilling the criteria of diagnosis in a single group. All the patients were examined before and after the trail, according to the case sheet format. Data before the treatment and after the treatment recorded and at the end of study both were compared for assessment. Statistical analysis showed the treatment is more highly significant in the parameters, Kampa, Gatisanga, Stamba, Chestasanga, Tremors and Rigidity. In the parameters Stambha and Chestasanga there was no much difference in before and after treatment values statistically.

 Abstract

Abstract: There is no gainsaying the fact that urbanization and development go hand in hand in almost all matters of civilization and progress commensurate with the social and economic aspirations of a nation. It is expected, therefore, that the prospect of education too would relatively speaking, be much advanced in the urban set up as compared to its rural counterpart. And to a respectable degree, this seems to be quite true in the context of higher education in consonance with predictable notions. Yet when it comes to the plight of vernacular medium schools urbanization itself poses the most serious threat to their growth and development. Although the problem is peculiar to all vernacular medium schools of the country this paper seeks to argue with particular reference to the Assamese medium schools of Kamrup (Metro) district that the fact of urbanization itself becomes a curse for learning English for the students of these institutions owing to the monumental neglect to which they are subjected -- basically again, because of the elitist mindset of those in the corridors of power on the one hand and the elevated aspirations of parents on the other, who wish to witness their children climb up the ladder of social success.

 Abstract

BACKGROUND & PURPOSE: FOOTBALL game is excessively based on leg exercises like; kicking jumping and sprinting almost 10km of area is covered by a player during the game and is required to sprint repeatedly within arbitrary intervals during the games. So, the players need an appropriate strength, endurance, flexibility, agility and speed to enhance their performance. For their better performance plyometric, combined resistance and speed training will improve their jump, leg strength, power, change of direction pick-up and stop will improved by this training protocol. Evaluated by yo-yo intermittent recovery test level1, vertical jump test and sit and reach test. So, that we will measure the improvement of the performance of the athletes. METHODOLOGY: 60 players were recruited based on inclusion and exclusion criteria with the age group 18-25 years. 30 participants have completed the plyometric training 2 days/week for 6 weeks. Vertical jump test, sit and reach test and YO-YO IRTL1 were taken as an outcome measure. All the parameters were used pre and post treatment. RESULT: Result were statistically analyzed using paired t test by using SPSS version 25 and excel 2019, there was significant improvement in vertical jump test, sit and reach test and YO-YOIRTL1 in football players and significance level was kept at P<0.05. CONCLUSION: This study concludes that 6 weeks of plyometric, combined resistance and speed training has shown the significant effect on improving jump, flexibility, endurance, strength, agility and speed in football players. Plyometric training is more effective than combined resistance and speed training this training was improving the sports performance of the players.

 Abstract

Covid-19 has greatly affected the education system of India. New experiments were seen in education and the use of digital medium started, as well as their use would increase even more. The use of apps like WhatsApp, Zoom, Team and e-mail will increase to achieve educational goals. Schools and colleges will have to invest in sustainable technical infrastructure. In this, the training of teachers will focus on the skills to work in a digital environment. There will also be a change in the traditional methods of examination in higher educational institutions.

 Abstract

Human body consists of Ashayas which are defined as the spaces, where the dhatu, Dosha,Mala are located in normal conditions and facilitate their normal physiology. In same way they take main role in manifestation of diseases. We also come across Udbhava Sthana, Sanchaara Sthana, Vyaktha Sthana of diseases and to adopt the therapeutical measures, the physician must have clear cut idea about these anatomical limitations of Ashayas. In our Samhitas like Sushrutasamhita,Astanga Sangraha and Astangahrudaya we can find the explanation about Saptha Ashayas.Sharangadhara has mentioned Malashaya which is not mentioned in above Samhitas as one among the Saptha Ashayas. The explanation given by Sharangadhara suggests that Malashaya is located below Pavanashaya. So it can be assumed that Malashaya as told by Sharangadhara is concerned about Pureesha Mala. Feces or stools are the waste product of human digestive system. Feces is formed in large intestine and stored in sigmoid colon or pelvic colon by influence of appropriate stimulus it is expelled out through the anus during defecation. There is scattered information about Malashaya in various Ayurvedic literature. Hence study is aimed to gather the information about Malashaya along with the comparison of anatomical relevance of Malashaya with Pakvashaya. Hence research is planned to collect relevant knowledge or information about Ashayaand Malashayain view of Modern Anatomy which helps in proper diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

 Abstract

Abstract: Tribal people have lived in India since ancient times. The socio-economic condition of the tribal people is far behind that of the people of other communities in India, which is a cause for concern for development. The socio-economic condition of a large section of the Scheduled Tribes of the country is not satisfactory. Their condition still indicates that they are a backward community among the backward communities of India. Various plans and programmes have been adopted at various levels to solve the problems of the tribes. This article mainly highlighted the socio-economic condition of the Tribal people of Uttar Dinajpur, as per the Census 2011. Different aspects of their socio-economic condition are closely linked with their development and standard of living. The paper is mainly based on secondary data which are collected from several sources. According to the 2011 Census, the Socio-economic conditions of the tribal people of Uttar Dinajpur are not sufficient for their development. This article will help in analyzing the condition of tribal people in Uttar Dinajpur.
