 Abstract

Women entrepreneurs are playing a key role in the economic development of any developing country. They have been recognised as an important source of economic growth. Women entrepreneurs are creating new jobs not only for themselves but also for others. They contribute to the economic well being of the family and communities, women empowerment and reduction of poverty and thus the role of women entrepreneurs in economic development is inevitable. Women in a tribal society play a vital role in their social, cultural, economic and religious ways of life and are considered as an economic asset in their society. Their role is also being recognised by Government and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). This paper to highlights the significant initiatives from Non-Governmental Organisations to support women entrepreneurs, especially the Nilgiri tribal women.

 Abstract

The review study explores the impact of increasing temperatures due to climate change on pregnancy outcomes. The study analyzes various research articles published between 2016 and 2023 investigating the association between ambient temperature and adverse pregnancy outcomes. The review highlights that exposure to high temperatures during pregnancy is linked to increased risks of preterm birth, low birth weight, stillbirth, and congenital heart defects. The timing of heat exposure during gestation plays a crucial role, with different trimesters showing varying susceptibilities to temperature effects. Socioeconomic factors, maternal characteristics, and geographic location also influence the severity of these impacts. The review emphasizes the need for targeted interventions and adaptation strategies to protect pregnant women and infants from the health effects of rising global temperatures, particularly in vulnerable regions and populations.

 Abstract

In this article, a new solar PV fed Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) based on Trans-Z-source Inverter (Trans ZSI) is proposed to improve the power quality of on-grid Photovoltaic (PV) systems. DVR is a power electronic compensator using for injecting the desired voltage to the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) as per the voltage disturbance. In the proposed DVR, in place of traditional VSI, Trans ZSI with outstanding merits of buck/boost, a broader range of voltage boost gain, fewer passive components, and lower voltage stress, is put forth. For efficient detection, accurate voltage disturbances mitigation, and also lessening the injected voltage harmonics, a hybrid Unit Vector Template with Maximum Constant Boost Control (UVT-MCBC) method is proposed for Trans ZSI-DVR. The performance of the proposed Trans ZSI-DVR with UVT-MCBC has been analyzed under severe sag, slight sag with harmonics, swell, and interruption. The comparative studies and simulation results have shown the effectiveness of the proposed Trans ZSI-DVR, as opposed to traditional ZSI-DVR and VSI-DVR. The Trans ZSI-DVR in the PV system has mitigated voltage sag/swell/interruption. It has also improved the power quality of both the injected voltage to the PCC and PV system's output voltage.

 Abstract

Nanotechnology, a cutting-edge field that deals with materials at the nanoscale level, has emerged as a powerful tool in advancing sustainable development. This paper explores the significant impact of nanotechnology on various aspects of sustainability, ranging from environmental conservation to energy efficiency. One key area where nanotechnology plays a crucial role is in environmental remediation. By utilizing nanomaterials, scientists are able to develop innovative solutions for cleaning up contaminated sites and purifying water sources. Nanoparticles can efficiently remove pollutants and toxins, contributing to the preservation of ecosystems and the promotion of public health. Furthermore, nanotechnology has revolutionized the energy sector by enhancing the efficiency of renewable energy sources. Nanoscale materials have been instrumental in improving the performance of solar panels and energy storage devices, making clean energy more accessible and cost-effective. This breakthrough not only reduces our reliance on fossil fuels but also mitigates the impact of climate change. In the realm of agriculture, nanotechnology offers sustainable solutions for food production. Nanoparticle-based fertilizers and pesticides enable targeted delivery, minimizing waste and environmental damage. Additionally, nano sensors can monitor soil conditions and crop health in real-time, optimizing resource use and increasing agricultural productivity. Moreover, nanotechnology has opened new possibilities in healthcare by enabling targeted drug delivery and personalized medicine. Nanomedicine utilizes nanoscale materials to develop precise treatments for diseases, reducing side effects and improving patient outcomes. This approach holds promise for combating global health challenges and enhancing medical care worldwide.  Abstract

Globally, cancer is leading cause for death with the help of traditional treatment like surgery, radiation and chemotherapy gives limited effectiveness nowadays for advanced types of cancer. New advancements in cancer treatment are novel therapies that overcome resistance of conventional drugs and reduce side effects. This review includes therapies like immunotherapy, gene therapy, hormone therapy, epigenetic therapy, nanotechnology, hyperthermia, cold plasma therapy, photodynamic therapy, etc. Nanomedicine is also used to delivering drug directly to tumor with less toxicity and increase effectiveness of treatment. To develop a cancer vaccine is new approached for pharmaceutical industries to prevent and treat cancer by enhancing immune cell capacity to recognize and kill cancer cells.
