"Chasing Dreams, Bearing Pressures: A Sociological Insight into PUC Students" examines the increasing academic and emotional challenges faced by science stream students at the pre-university level in today's competitive educational environment. In a rapidly changing world where academic excellence is closely tied to future career opportunities, students often experience immense pressure to meet both institutional and parental expectations. This study seeks to explore how such pressures influence their mental well-being, motivation, and social relationships. The research Is conducted among 40 science students pursuing PUC, representing a group that often faces heightened stress due to demanding curricula, entrance exam preparation, and parental aspirations for professional courses such as engineering or medicine. The study highlights how the intersection of academic expectations, peer competition, and parental involvement shapes students' emotional balance and overall academic performance. The Importance of this study lies in its relevance to the current educational scenario, where students' dreams and identities are often shaped by societal and familial pressures rather than personal interests. By understanding these experiences from a sociological perspective, the study aims to shed light on the hidden emotional struggles behind academic achievement. It also emphasizes the growing need for mental health awareness, supportive parenting, and the creation of a balanced educational atmosphere that values students' individuality and holistic development. Ultimately, this research contributes to the broader discourse on student well-being, parental roles, and social expectations, offering valuable insights for educators, parents, and policymakers to make education more empathetic and student-centered.

Dincharya is an ancient Ayurvedic daily routine designed to keep the body and mind healthy. It helps maintain balance between the mind, body, and soul by caring for digestion, the body's natural energies (Doshas), tissues (Dhatus), and waste (Mala). Ignoring this routine has contributed to lifestyle diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes. Dincharya includes habits such as waking up early during Brahma Muhurta (before sunrise), brushing teeth (Dantadhawana), cleaning the tongue (Jihva Nirlekhan), applying nasal drops (Nasya), oil pulling (Kavala), oil massage (Abhyanga), following good conduct (Sadvritta), and mindful eating (Bhojana). Each practice serves a special purpose. o Waking up during Brahma Muhurta supports stress control, immunity, and metabolism. o Kavala (oil pulling) improves oral hygiene. o Abhyanga (oil massage) balances the body's internal clock and promotes good sleep. o Vyayama (exercise) strengthens the heart, body, and mind. o Nasya (nasal therapy) boosts immunity and prevents respiratory problems. When we neglect Dincharya, our immunity and metabolism weaken, increasing the risk of illness. In short, Dincharya provides timeless guidance for living a healthy, balanced life. Following this daily routine helps prevent disease, increase energy, and restore overall well-being in today's fast-paced world.

Githa Hariharan, a famous Indian novelist and feminist writer, is well-known for her unique reworkings of mythology and storytelling traditions. Her writing disrupts mainstream cultural narratives by highlighting women's experiences and resistance. This study looks at how Hariharan uses mythology as a method of feminist resistance in The Thousand Faces of Night and When Dreams Travel. Traditional Indian mythologies frequently reinforce patriarchal beliefs by excluding female voices. Hariharan challenges these hallowed tales by redefining mythological women as active agents of rebellion and self-determination. Using feminist literary theory, gender performativity, and postcolonial views, this study investigates how Hariharan's fragmented, polyphonic storytelling undermines patriarchal narrative authority. The study concludes that Hariharan reclaims mythology as a dynamic, evolving space that empowers women and destabilises patriarchal and cultural hegemonies. Her work positions mythology as a powerful tool for feminist and narrative subversion.

Art and Memory are considered as the collective remembrances and interpretations of shared experiences, traditions, and narratives. They serve as a foundational framework through which individuals and societies construct and negotiate their identities. This study investigates how art (painting) as a cultural memory influences the formation, maintenance, and transformation of culture and self-identity across various contexts, including literature, culture, and memory studies. It delves into the intricate relationship between art, cultural memory and self-identity as depicted in the novel Artist, Undone by V. Sanjay Kumar. This paper explores how the author himself navigates his sense of identity, instilling the importance of painting in finding one's real self. The research illuminates how personal and cultural identity is shaped, passed over, and sometimes challenged and preserved by art. This research on art, culture, and memory provides a unique cultural perspective on the art market and how contemporary art and narratives on art preserve the memories of an individual and the whole of a culture. An interdisciplinary analysis and theoretical inquiry help the study aim to deepen the understanding of the potently positive and multifaceted relationship between art, literature, identity, and memory, shedding light on the complexities of human experiences and social belonging.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says that India has a high number of lifestyle-related diseases, especially non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which are increasing fast because of changes in food habits and lifestyle. Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medical system, teaches that good health depends on keeping the mind, body, and spirit in balance. One important Ayurvedic practice for this is Ritucharya, which means following a seasonal routine. It helps the body stay in tune with nature and keeps the Doshas (basic energies of the body) balanced, which prevents many diseases. Ritucharya includes advice about what to eat, how to live, and what habits to follow in each season. By eating the right foods and following the right lifestyle for each season, a person can stay healthy, strong, and happy. However, more research is still needed to fully understand how Ritucharya benefits human health. Scientists also need to find the best ways to use these ancient methods in today's modern lifestyles. This study looks at how Ayurvedic teachings about food and lifestyle help people live in harmony with nature, and how Ayurveda's six seasons compare with the four seasons we follow today.

India-Bangladesh border trade is also a significant contributor of the economic activity of Tripura, which is an economically inaccessible landlocked state in North East India. During the last few years, there have been attempts to formalise the trade, introducing Integrated Check Posts (ICPs), and the implementation of operationalisation of the border port. Nonetheless, high rates of policy changes, importation, and logistical limitations remain the main factors that render the local markets volatile. In this paper, the authors examine how India-Bangladesh border trade policies affect local economy of Tripura using a doctrinal research method that is fully backed by secondary data. Tripura has a protracted international border with Bangladesh and hence the cross-border business activity has been a key to mould the economic prospects of the State. The results show that even with the gradual promotion of formalisation by border trade policies through the use of Integrated Check Posts, enhanced customs processes and systematic border haat systems, policy instability, periodical restrictions, non-tariff barriers and complex documentation, the policies have produced disproportionate effects to the small traders, producers and local informal markets. The research finds that the success of border trade in enhancing the economy of Tripura is not only determined by the development of infrastructure but also legal clarity, uniformity as well as long term stability of India-Bangladesh trade policy frameworks.

The Gupta Empire (c. 320-550 CE) is often hailed as the "Golden Age of India" for its unparalleled achievements in politics, administration, literature, science, and art. Emerging after the decline of the Kushanas and the Satavahanas, the Guptas unified northern India and ushered in a period of prosperity, stability, and intellectual efflorescence. This paper explores the origins, administration, economy, cultural achievements, and decline of the Gupta Empire. Drawing from literary sources such as the Puranas, inscriptions, and the accounts of the Chinese traveler Fa-Hien, as well as modern historiography, it argues that the Gupta era represented a harmonious blend of political power, artistic creativity, and spiritual vitality. The legacy of this period shaped the civilizational identity of India for centuries to come.

Human Resource Accounting (HRA) has emerged as a vital tool in measuring and managing the value of human capital within organizations. In the Information Technology (IT) sector, where intellectual and knowledge-based resources play a central role, the recognition and valuation of human assets have become crucial for assessing true organizational performance. This study investigates the Human Resource Accounting (HRA) practices adopted by major IT firms in Bengaluru, focusing on the methods of valuation, cost-benefit analysis, and their relationship with organizational performance indicators such as productivity, profitability, and employee retention. Based on secondary data collected from annual reports, HR disclosures, and sustainability reports of selected IT companies (2019-2024), the study applies descriptive, correlation, and regression analyses to assess the impact of HRA variables--Human Resource Cost (HRC), Training and Development Expenditure (TDE), and Human Value Added (HVA)--on Return on Human Capital (ROHC) and overall firm performance. The results reveal a strong positive correlation between structured HRA practices and organizational efficiency. Companies with advanced HRA systems exhibit higher productivity, lower attrition rates, and better financial outcomes. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of standardized HRA frameworks, strategic HR investments, and transparent human capital reporting for sustainable growth in India's IT sector.
