The postmodern feminism revolves around the ideas of inclusivity and individual experiences; breaking the gender norms, rejecting the conventional roles, and redefining social standards set for women. The novel, Mrs. Draupadi Kuru portrays the similar themes by bringing in the female characters from Mahabharata to the present day world. Their journey and exploration in the modern world make them to redefine their identity by self reflecting their trauma and experiences of their past life in the present day life. This paper explores the postmodern feminist ideals in the novel by identifying the progress and change in the characters and how they redefined their identity and their life's based on their choice. Foucault's perception about power, role of media, discourse and the social construction helps to analyse the text to highlight how power is operated by the means of discourse and how femininity is socially constructed. Luce Irigary, Judith Butler and Helen Cixous focuses on the identity, patriarchy, discourse and culture and this paper reflects their key concepts by analysing the text.

This article endeavors to study the image of New Woman in Indian Scenario. The new woman was a feminist ideal that emerged in the late 19th century and had a profound influence well into the 20th century. In 1984, Irish writer Sarah Grand in her article.'The New Aspect of the Woman Question.' It was a Henry James who developed the phrase 'New Woman' when he used it to describe American emigrant living in Europe.

Introduction: Smartphones bring many benefits when used for the basic intended purposes, but excessive use of smartphones might turn problematic and consequently, impairs well-being, negatively impacts academic performance, and leads to various psychological and physical complications among adolescents. 1 To create awareness about smart phone addiction among nursing students the researcher conducted the study "Prevalence of smartphone addiction and its relation with sleep of nursing students of a selected nursing institution in Kolkata, West Bengal." The objectives were to identify the prevalence rate of smart phone addiction, to assess the sleep status and to find out the relationship between smart phone addiction and insomnia among nursing students. Methodology: The research approach adopted was a non-experimental descriptive survey design. The study was conducted in a selected nursing Institution of Kolkata with sample size 110. Non probability consecutive sampling technique was used. The tools used were personal information, Smart phone addiction scale- SV, and Bergen insomnia scale (BIS) for data collection. The techniques used for data collection were questionnaire through online. Result: The findings showed 30.90% participants addicted to smart phone; 90% participants were found to spend 0-5 hours daily on screens. 55.46% students admitted to using their smartphone for at least 30 minutes after the lights were turned off, and 56.63% kept their smartphone near their pillow while sleeping. The insomnia among nursing students revealed 60.91%. Smartphone addiction had significant positive correlation with insomnia (r= 0.32). Conclusion: Future research can be built upon these findings and further investigation and intervention can be done. Addressing the problems proactively and awareness and precaution can enhance academic outcomes and student's health and balance in their life.

This research presents a fully implemented, end-to-end smart energy monitoring system integrating machine learning, a real-time backend service, and a Flutter-based mobile application. The system utilizes the publicly available COMBED dataset to simulate real-time smart meter readings at 30-second intervals via WebSocket streaming. Four machine learning models--KMeans clustering, Isolation Forest anomaly detection, LSTM short-term forecasting, and ARIMA long-term forecasting--enable comprehensive energy analysis including pattern recognition, anomaly alerts, and multi-horizon predictions. A FastAPI backend provides REST endpoints and WebSocket support with model inference latency below 100 ms. The Flutter application delivers a mobile-first dashboard with real-time charts, anomaly lists, bill estimation in INR, and forecast visualizations. Twilio SMS integration provides automated alerts for critical anomalies. This work distinguishes itself from prior literature through complete implementation, real-time simulation using open datasets, mobile-first architecture, and deployable multi-model integration. The system is reproducible, scalable, and extendable to real IoT smart meter hardware.

This This study investigates secondary students' perceptions of learning difficulties in English in Odisha. English, as a global language, plays a vital role in India's education, yet many learners struggle with its mastery. Using a descriptive survey design, 80 Class IX students from four Odia-medium secondary schools (government and private) in Cuttack district were sampled through a combination of simple random, convenient, and purposive techniques. Data were collected using a validated 45-item Language Difficulty Perception Scale (reliability = 0.85). Findings reveal that most students consider English moderately difficult, with gender significantly influencing perceptions, while school type had no significant effect. The study highlights the need for inclusive and responsive pedagogical approaches to address students' learning difficulties and improve English language instruction. By centering learners' perspectives, the research contributes to both theory and practice in language education in Odisha.

This paper examines how generative artificial intelligence (AI) challenges traditional conceptions of authorship, creativity, and intellectual property. Using a theoretical framework drawn from literary theory (Barthes, Foucault), cognitive accounts of creativity (Boden), and contemporary legal and policy responses, the study interrogates whether machine-generated artifacts can be integrated into existing frameworks of ownership and moral attribution. The paper traces technological developments in generative models, analyzes landmark legal decisions and policy guidance, and proposes conceptual and normative responses that balance innovation, fair reward, and protection of human creative labor.

The present study investigates the interrelationship among Economic Growth, Exports, and Imports in India by employing advanced time series econometric techniques such as Cointegration analysis, the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), and the Granger Causality test. The primary objective of this study is to examine both the long-run and short-run dynamics among these key macroeconomic variables that play a pivotal role in shaping India's economic performance. The analysis is based on secondary time series data covering the period from 1991-92 to 2022-23, corresponding to the post-liberalization era characterized by major economic reforms and increased openness to international trade. The results of the Johansen cointegration test confirm the existence of a long-run equilibrium relationship among Economic Growth, Exports, and Imports in India, indicating that these variables move together over time and are jointly influenced by underlying economic forces. The findings from the VECM further reveal the presence of a short-run adjustment mechanism, suggesting that deviations from long-run equilibrium are corrected over time, albeit gradually. Furthermore, the Granger causality analysis provides deeper insights into the direction of causality among the variables. The results indicate that Exports Granger-cause GDP, and GDP Granger-causes Exports, signifying a bidirectional causal relationship between economic growth and exports. However, in the case of imports, the findings show that GDP Granger-causes Imports, while Imports do not Granger-cause GDP, implying a unidirectional relationship from economic growth to imports. This suggests that India's rising income and production levels drive the demand for imports, whereas imports themselves do not significantly influence the country's economic growth. Overall, the study underscores the crucial role of exports in stimulating economic growth and highlights the importance of maintaining a balanced trade structure to sustain long-term economic development in India.

The present research is an attempt to observe how ESG-focused mutual funds differ from traditional non ESG mutual funds in Indian capital market. Existing literature shows mixed results regarding ESG funds' performance; some studies reporting outperformance and others showing underperformance relative to traditional funds. The study's primary concern is return and variability. There are three ESG mutual funds (Axis, ICICI, and Aditya Birla) who contribute more than 70% of total cumulative funds size under ESG theme in Indian market. These three mutual funds scheme has been considered for sample. Using monthly net asset value data from 2020 to 2024 we employed t-tests and f-tests to analyze mean returns and variance differences across three major ESG funds and their equity counterparts. Our findings reveal that ESG and equity funds demonstrate statistically distinct risk profiles, despite comparable mean returns. These findings suggest that ESG screening systematically affects portfolio construction and risk characteristics. Further, composition analysis shows that ESG and equity funds hold materially different portfolios despite both investing in the same equity instruments.
