 Abstract

Nowadays, the competitiveness of the textile industry and the consumers interest have been increasing the demand for innovative and functional textiles. Along with this , sustainable developments are playing an increasingly important role in the textile industry. This led to a new development strategy based on bio-based wastes and by-products of different industries. These bio-based wastes and by-products come from several industries. These resources present an enormous potential for enhancing in the textile finish due to their intrinsic properties . This research is based on the latest innovation and textile product development through different by-products and wastes.

 Abstract

Ophthalmic drug delivery is one of the most widely used drug delivery systems for the delivery drug to eye section. In situ gels are a type of formulations in which drug is ingested in solution form and while coming in contact with body fluids or temperature, it gets converted to gel form in order to produce a sustained release formulation. The objective of present work is to develop in situ gel of ofloxacin which is an antibiotic for bacterial infections.it is a type of broad spectrum antibiotic. It has a low molecular weight of 361.368gm/mol. It is one of the most suitable candidates for ophthalmic drug delivery. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections; it stops the multiplication of bacteria by inhibiting the reproduction and repair of their genetic material (DNA).Marketed eye drop solution is cleared very rapidly from the corneal region whereas, in-situ gelling systems, it was observed that clearing time is slow and retention of drug is for longer period at the corneal surface for a longer duration Ofloxacin can be targeted in treatment of the bacterial infection and also reduce dosing frequency, increase bioavailability of Ofloxacin that will result in better patient compliance with minimum side effects.

 Abstract

In developing countries like Ethiopia, population growth has posed a challenge to urban employment security, which has been exacerbated by rural-to-urban migration. The goal of this study was to discuss the consequences of population growth on job security in Hawassa, Ethiopia. Depending on the nature of the study, a mixed method approach was used to achieve the study's goal. Primary and secondary data were obtained utilizing multistage sampling methods and associated data collection tools. 384 sample sizes were determined by using Yemenis (1967) formula. SPSS version 23 was used to describe numerical data, while qualitative data was coded, categorized, formed themes, and triangulated with quantitative results. Finally, the study area's major challenges were identified as insufficient permanent jobs, informal work, temporary jobs, and poor living conditions. In short, the study area has been threatened by a lack of suitable job access as a result of rapid population growth.

 Abstract

This paper incorporates the results of strength values of M30 concrete by changing the percentage of granite powder (GP) taken in place of sand. The percentage replacements of sand with granite powder are 0%,10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. The parameter under study is compressive strength of concrete. Cement used is fly ash based Portland Pozzolana Cement. Experimental results indicated that the optimum percentage of replaced granite powder in sand is 30%.
