 Abstract

In this paper, a novel compact Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) is designed. The proposed FSS is 95% compact. The FSS is theoretically analyzed by ANSOFT designer Software. There can be numerous applications of this kind of FSS, as it operates in C band. It can be used in fiber optic communication, Satellite Communication, cordless telephone, IEEE 802.11a Wifi,etc.

 Abstract

The present study was conducted to investigate emotional maturity among students in relation to certain demographic variables viz. academic stream, gender and locality. Descriptive survey method of research was used for collecting the data using Emotional Maturity Scale constructed by Yeshver, S. and Mahesh, B. (2005). Sample included 320 randomly selected students of class 10+2 from various schools at Darbhanga town (Bihar).Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to compare the means between the groups. Findings of the study revealed that (1) there is significant difference between male and female students with respect to their emotional maturity (2) there is significant difference between rural and urban students with respect to their emotional maturity and (3) there is significant difference between science and arts students with respect to their emotional maturity. It is recommended that similar research with appropriate methodology and design may be used to ascertain the degree of conformity which this research has on the above said variable, namely, emotional maturity.

 Abstract

Right to Information Act,2005 is a path breaking Statute enabling the Common men to approach the public authorities to seek information. Even the Preamble of the Act expects that the citizens of this nation should be well informed. There is no motive of demeaning public authorities. The Act does not sieve out whether the information sought is in public interest or not. The Right to Information Act has even ruled out the basis of locus standi which used to be there prior to the enactment of this Statute. The seeker of the information need not assign any reasons for seeking the information. The positive use of the Statute definitely outweighs the negative use of the Act which is being resorted nowadays by filing fictitious and frivolous applications. The use of the Act to intimidate the public authorities should be discouraged by penalizing such applicants. It is indeed a matter of concern that precious time of the public offices is being wasted in disposing off the malicious applications under the Statute. The entrepreneurship resorted to through this Act is derogatory to the democratic principles of this great country. The only antidote to prevent this misuse lies in imposition of heavy penalties to these non-serious applicants.

 Abstract

This paper deals the study of the radiation effects on the boundary layer flow of and heat transfer of non-Newtonian fluid with variable viscosity along a symmetric porous wedge is presented here. The variable fluid viscosity is assumed to vary as a linear and non-linear function of temperature. The symmetry groups admitted by the corresponding boundary value problem are obtained by a special form of Lie group transformations, scaling group of transformations. A third order and a second order coupled ordinary differential equations are obtained. These equations are then solved numerically by MATLAB ode45 solver. In this paper we study the effects of various parameters like as Prandtl number Pr, A, l, Q on the flow of fluid velocity and the heat transfer of non-Newtonian fluid.

 Abstract

MIG welding is widely used technique in different areas. For the strength point of view there is groove welding which is also very popular. In this study, important process parameters namely welding current, gas flow rate, gas proportion, feed rate and welding speed kept constant throughout. Experiments are conducted on specimens of single-v butt welded joint, material selected for preparing the test specimen is IS2062 E250 grade. The ultimate tensile strength of the welded joint is tested by a universal testing machine and the results are evaluated.
