Abstract
The present research work was aimed at studying the impact of gender, nature of course and locality of residence on Decision making styles of teacher trainees. A sample of 600 teacher trainees studying in colleges of education of Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh was taken for collection of data. The stratified random sampling technique was employed. The Decision making styles of the teacher trainees were assessed by using Decision Making Styles Scale (DMSS) constructed by Dr. Noorjehan N. Ganihar. The obtained data were subjected to descriptive statistics such as Mean, S.D and inferential statistics such as ANOVA to test the hypotheses. The investigator of this study concluded that there is significant impact of gender, nature of course and locality of residence on Decision making styles of teacher trainees. Women and arts teacher trainees are found to use Routine, Compromise Decision making styles more frequently whereas men and science teacher trainees use Heuristic decision making styles more often. Urban teacher trainees use Routine Decision making styles more often when compare to rural teacher trainees and rural teacher trainees use Compromise and Heuristic Decision making styles more frequently than urban teacher trainees.

Abstract
The study has been under taken to analyse the early irrigation systems in kanyakumari district. Ay kings who ruled between 4th century BC and 9th century A.D showed interests in developing the irrigation systems. The ancient Tamils found a good system of distribution management of Water.The Rivers are the back bones of irrigation in kanyakumari district. During early period tanks were created with a clear idea to meet the needs of the people The earlier irrigation systems were well planned aiming at the welfare and benefit of the people . The irrigation system that was developed during the early period in kanyakumari district is still continuing and helping the people.

Abstract
MRI is used in the medical areas to provide a high quality imaging of the soft tissues of the human body. However, the MRI scanner technology has undergone a lot of improvements in the spatial resolution, speed of acquisition and signal to noise (SNR) ratio. But still the MRI images are corrupted by so many artifacts and noises. Identification and the reduction of these noisy components in MRI images is essential to improve the validity and accuracy of technologies designed to map the structure and function of the human body. Rician noise is commonly found noise in MRI images. The main aim is to study and improve the performance of the Unbiased Non Local Means filter to remove the rician noise from MRI images. As the UNLM filter is the extension of the NLM filter. NLM filtering takes the mean of all the pixels in the image weighted by how similar these pixels are to the target pixel, which may include pixels whose original gray value do not match the value of the original central pixel. The performance of the UNLM filter can be improved by providing only the right pixels for NL means averaging process in the squared neighborhood.

Abstract
The pragmatism of globalization of knowledge has generated an over optimism everywhere. But India faces a graver challenge to the sustainability of higher education.
