Around the 18th Century a number of significant events took place in the world. One such event was the Industrial Revolution which took place in England. It gradually spread to other countries of Europe also. You must have read about the Industrial Revolution that took place in England, and also read about the discovery of new sea and trade routes. One such sea route to India was discovered by a Portuguese called Vasco de Gama in 1498. As a result, the English, French, Portuguese and the Dutch came to India for trade. They also used it to spread missionary activities in india.1 The European and the British traders initially came to India for trading purposes. The Industrial Revolution in Britain led to the increase in demand for raw materials for the factories there. At the same time, they also required a market to sell their finished goods. India provided such a platform to Britain to fulfill all their needs. The 18th century was a period of internal power struggle in India and with the declining power of the Mughal Empire, the British officials were provided with the perfect opportunity to establish their hold over Indian Territory. They did these through numerous wars, forced treaties, annexations of and alliances with the various regional powers all over the country. Their new administrative and economic policies helped them consolidate their control over the country. Their land revenue policies help them keep the poor farmers in check and get huge sums as revenues in return. They forced the commercialisation of agriculture with the growing of various cash crops and the raw-materials for the industries in the Britain. With the strong political control, the British were able to monopolise the trade with India

Anganwadi is a type of rural mother and child care centre in India. They were started by the Indian government in 1975 as part of the Integrated Child Development Services program to combat child hunger and malnutrition. Anganwadi means "Courtyard Shelter" in Indian languages. A typical Anganwadi centre provides basic health care in Indian villages. It is a part of the Indian public health care system. Basic health care activities include contraceptive counseling and supply, nutrition education and supplementation, as well as pre-school activities. The centres may be used as depots for oral rehydration salts, basic medicines and contraceptives. The responsibilities of Anganwadi workers (AWW) are extremely significant. They ensure antenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women and immediate diagnosis and care for new born children and nursing mothers. They administer the immunization of all children below the age of 6 years. In addition they supervise the distribution of supplementary nutrition to children below the age of 6 as well as pregnant and nursing women. Monitoring regular health and medical check-ups for women and children is one of their key responsibilities. The Anganwadi workers often takes on the role of a teacher and aims to provide pre-school education to children between the age of 3 and 5 years. The Ministry of Women and Child Development has laid down guidelines for the responsibilities of Anganwadi workers (AWW). These include showing community support and active participation in executing this program, to conduct regular quick surveys of all families, organize pre-school activities, provide health and nutrition education to families especially pregnant women on how to breastfeed, etc., motivating families to adopt family planning, educating parents about child growth and development, assist in the implementation and execution of Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY) to educate teenage girls and parents by organizing social awareness programs and the like identify disabilities in children and so on. So, the researchers have selected the to evaluate the effectiveness of Anganwadi centers and the topic

Diaspora has always been a major issue in the Indo-English Literature. Most of the fiction writers of Indian English Literature are settled abroad, but they never got uprooted from their native land and therefore the element of diaspora is one of the essential characteristics in their works. Jhumpa Lahiri is yet another golden feather in the cap of Indo-English Literature, particularly the diasporic writings. She won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for fiction in the year 2000. In this article author describe the problems of diasporic community, diaspora in indo-English fiction, indo-English diasporic literature, differentiate jumpha lahiri from other Indian writers writing in English and analysis between the namesake and the lowland diaspora and cross-cultural identity. Her first novel 'The Namesake' is the work of a fine writer. The Namesake is extremely interesting eloquent and lucid which has been acclaimed by international media and her second novel the Lowland has actually been considered as a story about two brothers, but it could easily be the story of ideology, and how it shapes the family and relates the life affected by two brothers.

The aim of this paper includes that battery and super capacitor devices as key storage technology for their excellent properties in terms of power density, energy density, charging and discharging cycles, life span and a wide operative temperature rang etc. Proposed Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESS) by battery and super capacitor has the advantages compare to conventional battery energy storage system (BESS). HESS stores the excess of energy and reuses it when really needed. This paper describes the hybrid energy storage system that is suitable for use in renewable sources like solar, wind and can be used for remote or backup energy storage systems in absence of a working power grid. In order to get the highest efficiency from this system, super capacitors will be used in parallel with the battery and a pulsed load. Along with the above information this paper also presents Modeling of Battery and Super Capacitor based Hybrid Energy Storage System using MATLAB/Simulink software.
