Brush-less DC (BLDC) motor, currently has become a prime preference in treatment of electrical motors in many applications due to its simple construction and high speed process. This project depicts a photo-voltaic fed high voltage gain DC-DC converter for BLDC motor drive application and BLDC motor drive is controlled using a simplified control strategy. Low voltage DC output from photo-voltaic (PV) system is stepped-up to desired value using a high-gain DC-DC converter. The configuration of high-gain DC-DC converter with MPPT operation is depicted. The output of DC-DC converter is fed to BLDC motor through a inverter for BLDC motor drive. Speed control of BLDC motor is achieved using a simplified speed control method in this project and speed control is achieved sensing the actual motor speed and compared using PI controller. This type of motor drive is very much suitable for air-conditioner applications. The system under study has shown various desired functions such as maximum power extraction of the SPV array, soft starting of BLDC motor, fundamental frequency switching of VSI resulting in reduced switching losses, speed control of BLDC motor without any additional control. Proposed system was developed and results are analyzed using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.

In this project an improved controller for the dual topology of the unified power quality conditioner (iUPQC) extending its applicability in power-quality compensation, as well as in micro grid applications. By using this controller, beyond the conventional UPQC power quality features, including voltage sag/swell compensation, the iUPQC will also provide reactive power support to regulate not only the load-bus voltage but also the voltage at the grid-side bus. In other words, the iUPQC will work as a static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) at the grid side, while providing also the conventional UPQC compensations at the load or micro grid side. In actual power converters, as the switching frequency increases, the power rate capability is reduced. Therefore, the iUPQC offers better solutions. Simulation results are provided to verify the new functionality of the circuit.

This paper presents the utilization of E-Resources by Engineering students in various Engineering colleges of Telangana. The E-Resources namely CD-ROM, Machine readable files, online Journals, Online books, E-Documents, E-Books, E-Mails, online bibliographies, OPAC and the internet. This investigation is done on a survey method to analyze the use and utilization of E-Resources by the students of Engineering colleges. Study has been reviewed on relevant literature on the E-Resources usage. This study restricted only to E-Resources utilization by engineering students uses of E-Resources and usefulness have been analyzed and summarized the findings. Based on the results some suggestions have been made to increase the effective use of E-Resources.

Augmented Reality is a cutting-edge development in the electronics commercial enterprise. It overlays audio, visuals and other sense improvements from computer screens on top of real time circumstances. Augmented Reality rises much above the stationary graphics technology of television, where the obligatory graphics remains unaffected with the perception. Augmented Reality systems apply visuals to each scene or angle and align with each advancement of the employer's head and eyes. Expansion of the required technology for augmented reality techniques is proceeding even now inside the research laboratories of universities and sophisticated enterprises. It is estimated that by the ending of this era, the initial machine-made augmented reality systems will smash into the marketplace. This paper gives an impression of the fundamental features of Augmented Reality (AR) and the main perceptions of this technology. . Abstract: Mangroves are characteristic intertidal plant formations of sheltered tropical and subtropical coastlines and are ideal models for studying salt tolerant mechanisms at molecular level. Plant glyoxalase genes have been primarily associated with stress responses. Their over expression is known to impart tolerance to various abiotic stresses such as salinity, drought, chemicals and heavy metal toxicity. The present study made an attempt for the isolation of the genomic DNA and identification of multistress responsive Gly I gene in the mangrove plants Acanthus ilicifolius L., Avicennia officinalis L. and Bruguiera cylindrica (L.) Blume. Total cellular genomic DNA was isolated by CTAB method and its quality was checked by agarose gel electrophoresis. PCR amplification of Gly I sequence was carried out under optimal amplification profile and the quality of the gene from genomic DNA was also checked. The genomic DNA from the three mangrove plants were isolated in good quality and concentration. Under optimal PCR conditions, a prominent band of expected size was obtained in Acanthus ilicifolius (300 bp. amplicon) and Avicennia officinalis (250 bp. amplicon). The study suggests that under saline conditions more amount of glyoxalase enzyme were produced in the plant to detoxify MG and ROS which lead to the increased tolerance of these plants against salinity stress.
