 Abstract

The hearing impaired undertakes a test which involves three streams of questions such as audio, visual and audio-visual stimulus types. By using audio-visual stimulus in testing process, Mcgurk effect in the perception by the patient can be identified. McGurk effect is a phenomenon that affects the somatosensory nerve which is used to observe and perceive the audio and visual signals and hand out them as input to the brain. With this as the rudimentary concept a multimedia test application for children and adult is developed which contains various key words as the stimuli that are independently controlled for the lexical characteristics of word frequency and lexical density, to check the coordination of hearing and vision of the patient.

 Abstract

Designing the handle bar assembly of a two wheeler holds many challenges together with valuation of the structural strength of the mating components. Handle bar is subjected to bending or buckling (mostly) stress. The situations during braking and the forces generated due to road bumps and pot holes can increases the problem. The Finite element analysis outcomes are also well allied by the experimental results in which failure site and pattern is accurately matched. Shape optimization is done on mounting block to reduce weight of component. Further modifications have been made in design to come across the strength requirement.

 Abstract

Configuration is the element of a machine's life where the best effect can be made in connection with staying away from major calamities. The designer should ensure that the machine is safe to set up and work, safe to install, easy to maintain, easy to repair, and safe to decommission. In applied mechanics, the behavior of a slim structure component denoted by bending characteristics. When subjected to an external load which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the given component. Some operation of bending, they performed manually means first they hot the particular part of L-shape plat from which plate has to be bend. In heating the plates they decide several temperatures of a furnace according to the material of plates, a gauge of plates and thickness of the plates. After heating the plates they bend the plates by operation of hammering which performed by a human. So, for this manual process skilled personnel are required and if it is not available then the bending process is stopped. Due to above problem, next process is a delay in material flow and then the not fulfill the customer requirement at a time. The aim our aim of the project is to develop of jig and fixture from scratch, which will be used for the fastest, time reducing, easy to handle the process, and less skilled workers are required for bending process.

 Abstract

This project focuses on the control of an existing grid interfacing inverter to improve the quality of power at point of common coupling for 3-phase 4-wire Distribution systems. The grid integration of distributed generator system normally poses many connection issues leading to discouraging the use of distributed generator. Hence a novel control strategy is presented for improving the efficient power quality to the interconnection of distributed generator with a grid. The grid-inter facing inverter can be effectively utilized for power conditioning without disturbing its regular operation of real power transfer. The grid-interfacing inverter with the proposed approach can be utilized to: i) inject real power generated from Renewable energy source to the grid, and/or, ii) operate as a shunt Active Power Filter. To compensate current unbalance, load current harmonics, load reactive power demand and load neutral current by the Proportional Resonant controller (PR). This approach consequently eliminates the need for additional power conditioning equipment to improve the quality of power at Point of common coupling. General MATLAB/Simulink simulation as well as the Digital Signal Processing based experimental results have validated the proposed approach and have shown that the grid-interfacing inverter can be utilized as a multi-function device.

 Abstract

This paper examines the Mergers & Acquisitions on selected companies in India. The data has been collected for 15 companies for the period of seven years. The importance of mergers and acquisitions is growth, diversification, synergy, market dominance, eliminate market competition. The data has been collected out of 7 financial parameters .These include profit after tax, profit before depreciation ,interest, tax and amortization, return on capital employed, current ratio, total asset and advances. The study is based on secondary financial data. There has been a significant impact of mergers and acquisitions in India which includes increasing the size of the firm. In order to grow with in a short span of time, it is not possible through organic growth. With the help of mergers and acquisitions, company can achieve its objective. In order to dominate in that particular sector companies merge. Various parameters have been taken into consideration for making an overall analysis of merger and acquisitions in India.
