 Abstract

Using metallic materials in vehicles structures increases cost and fuel consumption, therefore, the trends start to use cheaper and lite materials. Fibers are used in composites in automotive applications because they are lightweight, stiff, and stronger than bulk material, as well as achieve comparable energy absorption to metallic materials. The aim of this research is to investigate the potential of natural fiber in the applications of crash energy absorption. An experimental procedure (hand layup) was applied to investigate the effect of using jute fiber on crash worthiness parameter of composite material with other types of fibers such as Kevlar and glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite. The work involved fabrication the tubes using three layers, two geometries (circular and square) with three different heights at constant crush speed 1.5 mm/sec. The results show that the tubes of jute fiber were ineffective and failed directly, but, replacing one layer of jute fiber by one layer of other types of fibers lead to an enhancement in crash worthiness parameters especially, failure type and crash worthiness parameters. The better results are achieved when using hybrid jute and Kevlar, where the energy absorption is enhanced by 17.75 % and the specific energy absorption is enhanced by 25.122% in case of circular tube with diameter 50 mm. In case of square tube with length 50 mm, the results are enhanced by 62.764 % for energy absorption and 58.942% for specific energy absorption.

Most vehicle body frames are thin-walled steel columns. The rails at the front and rear body of cars are the main energy-absorbing parts in a crash. The bumpers of a vehicle may play a role for a minor frontal or rear impact, when the vehicle collides with a pole or a tree at a relatively low speed, such as in a car park. Therefore, there is a need to enhance the energy absorption and control the mode of failure of thin shell tube made from the composite materials and use it instead of metallic

 Abstract

With the growing popularity of location-based services and the excessive usage of smart phones and GPS enabled devices, the practice of outsourcing spatial data to third party service providers has grown rapidly over the past few years. Meanwhile, the fast arising trend of Cloud storage and Cloud computing services has provided a flexible and cost-effective platform for hosting data from businesses and individuals, further enabling many location-based applications. However, in this database outsourcing paradigm, the authentication of the query results at the client remains a challenging problem. This paper presents an overview and analysis of the Outsourced Spatial Database (OSDB) model in spatial datasets and the security techniques suggested in literature for ensuring the authenticity of the query results obtained by manipulating these outsourced databases.

 Abstract

The paper attempts to evolve a model for determining the core loss of a switched reluctance motor (SRM), widely used as a drive for propulsion in electric vehicles (EV). The core loss forges to be one of the key factors in deciding the performance of the drive motor and requires extensive considerations to minimize it. The SRM offers promising characteristics to be suitable for the propulsion of a vehicle owing to its outstanding merits and use of steel lamination as the core material. The study involves the use of 2D-FEM analysis on a SRM with non-oriented electrical steel possibilities and brings out a strong correlation between the material flux density and permeability. The results relate the variation of motor core loss for different materials and exhibit the effect on core loss. The model manifests an empirical approach to the calculation of core loss besides establishing the strong relationship among the parameters of the magnetic material.

 Abstract

The accurate and automatic segmentation of brain tumor on F- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (FMRI ) image is of great interest for assessing tumour growth and treatment responses, enhancing computer-aided surgery, planning radiation therapy, and constructing tumor growth models. The shape and boundary information of the brain tumor affected area is taken into consideration; hence, the edge detection operator is employed on different FMRI cancer tumour images. The five edge-detection methods of Sobel, Prewitt, Robert, Laplacian and Canny Operators are displayed by running MATLAB code on of FMRI cancer image. These five edge-detectors are the most commonly used techniques which are selected and tested. To smooth the image, a special approach is introduced, namely Parallel Median Method (PMM) and for removing the impulsive noise in images. The process of image smoothing is used to remove noise in the FMRI image. Initially, FMRI brain cancer image is taken, this color image is converted into gray scale image and then this gray scale image is converted into two-tone image that is binary image, for further processing of cancer affected areas in the FMRI brain cancer image.

 Abstract

With the improvement of changed correspondence systems, online payment exchanges and in addition web based business is spreading step by step. Additionally, the money related cheats related with these exchanges are likewise expanding which in this manner brings about significant budgetary misfortunes consistently comprehensively. Credit card extortion is drilled most every now and again among the changed money related cheats because of its acknowledgment and across the board use as it offers more accommodation to its clients. Monetary foundations, for example, banks require more advanced methods for recognizing misrepresentation. Budgetary fakes are frequently difficult to distinguish and break down as the deceitful conduct is changing, scattered in unmistakable client profiles, and spread crosswise over gigantic imbalanced genuine datasets (e.g. client spending profiles, web logs, exchange logs). Moreover, clients once in a while audit their web based keeping money history and thus are not ready to uncover the false exchanges at the ideal time. Likewise, because of the wide use of credit cards as a method of payment for acquiring merchandise and enterprises, there comes a need to decide if the exchanges made using a credit card is a substantial exchange done via card holder or it is a deceitful exchange done by the fraudster. To stay away from or control the online extortion this review presents another method Cloud based Multi Combination of Password Technique (MCOP)

 Abstract

: A rocker arm is a valve train component in internal combustion engines. As rocker arm is acted on by a camshaft lobe, it pushes and opens either the intake or exhaust valve. This allows fuel and air to be drawn into the combustion chamber during the intake stroke or exhaust gases to be expelled during the exhaust stroke. The rocker arm is designed and analysed by applying different materials for it. The materials used for this analysis are Aluminium Alloy 6061, HDPE and Glass fibre. The design is created in Catia and the analysis is done in Ansys workbench 16.1. Based on our analysis Aluminium Alloy 6061 has the maximum fatigue stress.

 Abstract

Child Psychology and Indianness are two different words, indeed many would say that child Psychology is different from the Psychology of a grown up man. All the same, it is true that the kind of atmosphere in which a child grows up determines his/her manhood/womanhood and indianness is the perception or feeling of being an Indian Socially, Culturally and Spiritually. These come at the subject from several perspectives, historical and ideological, literary and philosophical, sociological and psychological. It is no longer seems quiet pertinent now to ask about the possible future of Indianness in the world, when we know for certain that Indianness is going to stay for long in India.

 Abstract

A windmill is a mill that converts the energy of wind into rotational energy by means of vanes called sails or blades. The majority of modern windmills take the form of wind turbines used to generate electricity, or wind pumps used to pump water, either for land drainage or to extract groundwater. A wind turbine is a windmill-like structure specifically developed to generate electricity. The smallest turbines are used for applications such as battery charging for auxiliary power for boats or caravans or to power traffic warning signs. Slightly larger turbines can be used for making contributions to a domestic power supply while selling unused power back to the utility supplier via the electrical grid.In this project we are going to design a blade for small turbines using catiaV5 and analyse for a Epoxy material using ANSYS in order to give a good advantages of using that in a safe manner. Also,to initiate the advantages and disadvantages of the blades. So that the production time may also reduced.
