Safety of a bridge depends on the depth and volume of local scour around its piers. The existence of parallel railway-bridge and road-bridge or a newly constructed bridge by the side of an old bridge gives rise to a situation, where the interference of the presence of an upstream pier and a downstream pier is prevalent. The upstream pier could primarily influence the scour at a downstream pier in two ways: (1) upstream pier modifies the flow field in the wake flow region that acts as an approaching flow for the downstream pier to scour and (2) the sediment that is scoured from the upstream pier is being fed to the scour hole at the downstream pier. The present study attempts to quantify the effect of the mutual interference of upstream and downstream piers on local scour at both the piers. The mutual interference of the piers on local scour depends on the shape of the piers, flow velocity, flow depth, sediment size, and oblique distance between the piers and flow oblique angle The study deals with an experimental study of local scour around two inline piers accomplished by measuring the equilibrium scour depths in clear water scour in carefully designed and controlled experiments in the laboratory. These studies were accomplished by measuring equilibrium scour depths in clear water scour in care-fully designed and controlled experiments in the laboratory. The results reveal that the equilibrium scour depth at rear pier increases as the distance between rear and upstream piers increases. The scour depth at the rear pier is approximately 70-80% of the scour depth at the front pier. However, the equilibrium scour depth at upstream pier is independent of streamwise spacing between the piers. Similarly, for spacing between front and rear piers is more than 7 times the rear pier diameter, the equilibrium scour depth at upstream pier is independent of spacing between them.

Rabindranath Tagore is a versatile genius, whose life is filled with creative literary and artistic activities. The genius of Tagore is seen in his vast array of works that has explored the different issues of his time. The humane nature of his works has proved that literature as a medium can traverse boundaries of language and nationalities to touch upon lives across the World. Tagore plays a vital role for the emancipation of women who are trapped in the patriarchal norms of the society. Most of the short stories of him portray the real life of women who always stay back with their dumb agony and acute despair. This paper tries to focus the pathetic plight of a poor voiceless, innocent orphan girl who is abandoned by everyone in this World.

Pharmacokinetics of macrolides affect serum concentration of other drugs. Azithromycin and Roxithromycin are antimicrobial macrolides. Azithromycin is derived from erythromycin containing methyl substituted nitrogen in lactone ring whereas Roxithromycin is an ether oxime derivative of Erythromycin. These modifications in structure result in better gastrointestinal tolerability and tissue penetration of both these drugs. Azithromycin and Roxithromycin are acid stable therefore both exhibit better oral bioavailability and more favorable pharmacokinetic properties. Azithromycin and Roxithromycin have greater distribution in tissues, a longer elimination half-life and a lower incidence of adverse effects. These both drugs are used against gram negative bacteria and commonly used for respiratory tract infection. Azithromycin have clinical uses such as used in sexually transmitted diseases, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin and structure infections. Roxithromycin is used against the organisms such as Mycobacterium avium complex, Helicobacter pylori, Borrelia spp., Legionella, pneumophila. Clinicaly the Roxithromycin is used for Lower respiratory tract infections including pneumonia, atypical pneumonia, chronic obstructive lung disease and bronchitis.Upper respiratory tract infections including tonsillitis, pharyngitis, otitismedia and sinusitis. Acute or chronic non - gonococcal urethritis, non - gonococcal sexually transmitted infections and cervicovaginitis. Skin and soft tissue infections including pyoderma, infective dermatitis andleg ulcers. Prophylaxis of meningococcal meningitis.

Abstract: The present research paper tries to study the fundamental issues and challenges in implementation and delivery mechanism of the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) schemes. In Maharashtra state, some sections of the society excluded from the development have been identified such as poor people, rural people, women and some marginalized groups like SC, ST, and OBC. To provide equal opportunities the central and state governments have taken initiative in the field of entrepreneurial finance and self-employment (motivation to entrepreneurial activity) especially for these excluded categories of the people. To promote economic & social development of the SCs living in the country; NSFDC is one of the agencies who is playing a key role in systematic reduction of poverty amongst the SCs living below Double the Poverty line (DPL) & functioning exclusively for the development of SCs.

The aim of this research article is to know the importance and use of intonation in communicative English or spoken / day to day English. As it is well known fact that, knowing and using the right intonation patterns in day to day communicative English is a challenging and one of the most difficult tasks to non-native speakers and learners of English especially Indian speakers of English because we have many languages. Even though they are aware of theory, rules and regulations, when it comes to implementation and use they tend to make mistakes. In general, most of the schools and colleges, ESL learners are hardly ever trained and to use the right patterns of intonation. The problem is that, majority of the teachers of English are not confident in teaching intonation as it is difficult. Even though some of them are confident in teaching segmental features like consonants and vowel sounds when it comes to supra-segmental features; word stress, intonation and rhythm most of the English teachers dare not to attempt and teach. The reality is that, majority the teachers of English themselves feel difficulty in using right intonation patterns on right syllable.

Managers have to deal with conflict in the workplace every day. Conflict management is the ability to be able to identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently. Conflict is not simply inevitable; rather, conflict is central to what an organization is. (Putnam 1995, 183-4) Conflict management is the practice of being able to identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently. Since conflicts in a business are a natural part of the workplace, it is important that there are people who understand conflicts and know how to resolve them. This is important in today's market more than ever. Everyone is striving to show how valuable they are to the company they work for and at times, this can lead to disputes with other members of the team. The research examines a variety of dimensions of employee suggestions ,conflict management and dispute resolution systems. It examines the role of conflict management and dispute resolution, how employers are managing and resolving conflict within their organizations, the various dispute resolution procedures being used, and their effectiveness has been depicted in the research. Organizations selected belong to twin cities of Hyderabad and were stratified into nine (9) public sector and seven (7) private service organizations. The sample size of respondents chosen has been 60.Questionnaires were either self-administered or through the face-to-face interview.
