 Abstract

The paper is an analysis of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships 1973 which is an instrument modified in 1978 to regulate, monitor and to measure the pollution caused by operational and accidental discharge of oils, controlling the discharge of noxious liquid substances, framing up of requirement and standards in reference to discharge of sewage, garbages, to set the limits on sulphur and nitrogen oxide emission.

 Abstract

Motion transmission to meet the specific requirement is an important aspect of mechanical engineering. Linkages, gear-trains, cams, etc. are commonly adopted to fulfill this need. Kinematic analysis and synthesis of linkages, gear-trains, etc. is a major area of study in mechanical engineering. Structural synthesis of all the distinct possible kinematic chains with the specified number of links and degrees of freedom is necessary in order to select the best possible chain for the specified task at the conceptual stage of design. The structural synthesis should not end only with the generation of distinct chains as it does not lead to logical conclusion unless the capabilities of the structures are explored. The accuracy of generation of kinematic chain depends upon the accuracy for the test for isomorphism. Consequently, some methods are developed to test isomorphism and many of these methods fail at some stage or the other. Most of the methods in structural analysis have been reported to test isomorphism and inversions, but the methods reported so far is either based on link-link adjacency, link-joint adjacency or link-loop adjacency.But all the three important features of kinematic chains viz. link-joint-loop have not been considered for the exact assessment. Keeping in view, quantitative methods are being developed in this paper to detect isomorphism among kinematic chains which includes link-joint-loop adjacency. The method developed for testing isomorphism and other characteristics will result in many aspect e.g. reliability, computational time, efficiency, etc. Since, all the three features of kinematic chains viz. link-joint-loop are considered to analyze the structural aspect and its relation to function; the expected outcome will reveal some kinematic characteristics of the chain with high degree of reliability and efficiency for application in planar manipulators from the viewpoint of workspace.

 Abstract

Oral mucocele is the most common benign minor salivary gland lesion. It is caused due to mechanical trauma to the excretory duct of the salivary gland and obstruction of the salivary gland duct .Clinically they are characterized by single or multiple, soft, fluctuant nodule, ranging from the normal to deep blue in colour. It affects at any age and is equally present in both sexes with highest incidence in second decade of life. They are mainly classified as extravasation or retention type of cyst. Histologically there is cystic cavity with epithelial lining which may or may not be present. Conventional surgical removal is the most common method used to treat this lesion. Other treatment options include CO2 laser ablation, cryosurgery, intralesional corticosteroid injection, marsupialization and electrocautery. This article would give a comprehensive presentaion of ettiopathogenesis, clinical features, investigations, treatment modalities and a case report of Mucocle involving lower lip.

 Abstract

In the present study an attempt has been made to study the effectiveness of using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools and smart classroom assisted teaching over the traditional method for the students of 8th and 9th grade of higher secondary school. The present study is conducted in Pune District, Maharashtra. The study is experimental in nature and the sample of study consist of 140 students of 8th and 9th grade from six different English medium schools where two schools having traditional method and four school having smart classroom. Data was analyzed using column graph. The result shows that the teaching through ICT tools and smart classroom is more effective in higher secondary education.

Women petty traders have now come to become an integral part of society. They play a pivotal role in our day to day life. These women traders, however, face many challenges. These petty traders, however is not confined to city alone, but is also present in rural areas. Women in rural areas, along with their household chores and engagement in fields come out of their houses to sell small items and earn some money. Growing inflation and rising living costs have compelled the women of rural areas as well to contribute to their family earning.  Abstract

The exhaust from I.C Engine supplied to the turbo charger turbine. The turbine rotates the compressor by means of turbine shaft connected to the compressor. Then compressor compresses the air from the atmosphere and supplied to the thermo-electric intercooler which workers under peltier effect. The peltier module having hot face facing towards the atmosphere to transmit the heat and cold face facing towards the enclosed area of the peltier effect intercooler. The exit temperature of air from the thermo-electric intercooler will be reduce due to the peltier effect which increases the volumetric efficiencyand reduces the fuel consumption rate which results the complete combustion.
