 Abstract

The changing aspects of personal, family, socio-economic, and career advancement with regard to Social support were analysed from 503 Information and Communication Technology (ICT) women professionals, from 12 various ICT organisations from Bengaluru, India. ICT industry remains to be the major private sector employer in India for women and this number was all set to increase in the future. The characteristics of the ICT industry in India and the nature of the work pose some unique challenges for women professionals in the industry. This study focuses on how thesocial support related factors influence women professionals. Do these women perceive the social support as a blessing? It was very obvious that career oriented women have to manage / balance work & life due to stereotypic roles played. Women professionals have agreed that their career advancement was influenced by the support they got from their managers, co-workers, family and organisationThe study found that age was one among the several factors affecting their adjustment into society. The higher the age, the mature were women and very adapting to the society. For some women the factors created positive attributions, but paradoxically, for others, the same factors created negative attributions in various forms related with co- workers. Though women wanted and wished this blessing of social support in their daily routine, it was a reality that there was a struggle to get that blessing in place for all the 503 women, we interacted. The percentages of blessings varied and the study proved that there was a significant adaptability required, in order to get this social support from all angles. The study denoted a very high significant relationship between Social support and factorssuch as..age, income, qualification of the spouse and self, working hours, gender affect, marital status and career advancement. When there was no support from the family, the individual encountered difficultiesof managing home and workeffectively. The researcher also had made certain recommendations that could help women sail through the issues of social support such as developing an extensive network, identifying a mentor and coach for self, plan by being proactive, knowledge acquisition, enjoying life and giving importance to self and ask for help and support when in need.

 Abstract

Preterm birth is still the biggest unsolved obstetrical problem. As much as 70% of perinatal mortality is due to prematurity and many of the surviving preterm infants suffer serious lifelong morbidity. The purpose of this study is to propose Eletrohysterogram as a best means to detect preterm delivery . Uterine electrical activity recorded by electrohysterography (EHG) from abdominal electrodes during pregnancy provides trustworthy information about uterine contractions that can detect the onset of preterm delivery. Results from previous author works is taken in support of this study and it can be concluded that Electrohysterogram is indeed a better option than the traditional methods used to predict preterm delivery

 Abstract

The ceramic tiles fabricating process has now been totally robotized except for the last phase of generation worried about visual review. This paper is worried about the issue of programmed examination of artistic tiles utilizing PC vision. It must be noticed that the recognition of deformities in finished surfaces is an imperative region of programmed modern assessment that has been to a great extent neglected by the current rush of research in machine vision applications. At first, We layout the advantages to the tile producing industry. This is trailed by a categorisation of run of the mill tile surrenders. Next, we audit various strategies as of late created to identify different sorts of imperfections in plain and finished tiles. The systems extend from stick gap and break finders for plain tiles in light of an arrangement of detachable line channels, through finished tile split locator in light of the Wigner appropriation and a novel cojoint spatial-spatial recurrence portrayal of surface, to a shading surface tile imperfection recognition calculation which searches for variations from the norm both in chromatic and auxiliary properties of finished tiles. The above programmed assessment techniques have been executed and tried on various tiles utilizing manufactured and genuine deformities. The outcomes recommend that the execution is sufficient to give a premise to a reasonable business visual review framework.

 Abstract

Abstract This system aiming two basic visual features, Brightness and color and to combine these two facts to maximize the reliability of boundary detection in natural scenes, we propose a new framework based on the color-opponent mechanisms of a certain type of color-sensitive double-opponent (DO) cells in the primary visual cortex of HVS(human visual system). Brightness and color are two basic visual features integrated by the human visual system (HVS) to gain a better understanding of color natural scenes. This type of DO cells has oriented receptive field with both chromatically and spatially opponent structure. The proposed framework is a feedforward hierarchical model, which has direct counterpart to the color-opponent mechanisms involved in from the retina to V1. In addition, we employ the spatial sparseness constraint (SSC) of neural responses to further suppress the unwanted edges of texture elements. Experimental results show that the DO cells we modeled can flexibly capture both the structured chromatic and achromatic boundaries of salient objects in complex scenes when the cone inputs to DO cells are unbalanced. Meanwhile, the SSC operator further improves the performance by suppressing redundant texture edges. With competitive contour detection accuracy, the proposed model has the additional advantage of quite simple implementation with low computational cost.

 Abstract

In this paper we first look at data mining applications in safety measures and their suggestions for privacy. After that we inspect the idea of privacy and give a synopsis of the developments specifically on preserving private data after applying data mining on it. Later we examine some terms data mining, privacy and then study the relationship between them and its effect on the security of sensitive data. Further we then present an outline for research on confidentiality and data mining.

 Abstract

The dominance of one party system in Jammu and Kashmir started with the dominance of National Conference since it came into power in 1947. The present paper attempts to analyse the outlook of regional party namely JKNC on Centre-State relation. The differences with the Central government with regard to sharing or division of power have been the main plank of their electoral strategy and victory. Immediately after the accession of the state to the Indian Union, on October 26, 1947 its relations with the Centre were influenced mainly by its two pole of power the ruler and the popular leader and their mutual relations. Maharaja Hari Singh had acceded his state to India with respect to foreign affairs, defence and communication only. The state thus engaged to itself an unqualified autonomy in all other matters. From this emanated its special status within the Indian Union and it enjoined this status under Article 370 of Indian Constitution.
